- Originally bought my 1997 Honda Civic EK Hatch for a daily, but then I went race car with it, so now I bought this 2007 Acura RDX for a daily. This is a base model. AWD with a 2.3L engine turbocharged making 240hp and 260tq. Gets 18mpg city and 23mpg highway. Great for driving around town and taking it out camping or mild off road.
This vehicle has enormous pickup. What a screamer.
So cool finding this video. My daily has been an 07 RDX for 170,000 miles now. STILL love it to death
Careful you might get the mod bug and eliminate the stock down pipe restrictions
Is it expensive for repair?

Damn a turbo Crv lol. you're right why Honda made a top mount intercooler with no hood scoop
it does have one it's built on the hood itself. Gets the air from the grille

So I went and test drive all the model of 07-12 rdx and the tow package is the one you should get those base model is very weak the tow package one has better power go try it before you buy it pay little more but everything
i just bought one last week. has anyone tried to upgrade the non tech package to the tech package?
I have an 07 I'd like to take the drive train out and swap it into something that doesn't weigh 5k

This is a family daily. Even at maxed of 300 whp like u said trans not made for it. I wouldnt mine it myself if gas stayed $2.00 a gal.
I am over 300 and I know people with 400+ on his stock trans Rdx. it can take alot more than you think.

I have same color 2008 love the car hate the mpg gas. It should be at least 23mpg for a 2.3
I would absolutely put this engine and transmission into a JDM Honda Stream VTEC actually and make that thing quite the big sleeper it would be really man

Its a Honda, they dont start breaking in until they hit 100k. Get the timing belt replaced and you got yourself a brand new car. I had a 1990 Accord LX 2 door 5 speed that had 360k+ when i sold it, and it ran like a champ, i wish i never sold it, the 2 doors are hard to find anymore. Mine was black, with full custom black interior with black leather seats, 18in black with chrome lip BBS look alike wheels, and 25% tint on back windows and rear windshield, 35% tint on front driver side and passenger windows, and 50% on front windshield, and was never pulled over for it. I loved that car, i wish i never sold it.

Tow package is the top in the rdx model
Rdx can only tow 1500 lbs. What it’s known for is not high towing capacity so it’s fine. It’s known for luxury driving and moderate off-roading capacity. So doesn’t make it a bad car.

Been great! Gas mileage aint the best and it runs on premium. Roomy and has great power for a small suv.
