There were 2 'friends' I had in college who were sisters and I realized after 7 years that they were jealous of me and hated my guts. They became my 'friend' to gain some type of intel but were disappointed to find that I wasn't competitive and was supportive of them. Then they began to slowly chip away at my confidence and self-esteem. Just evil. They literally disappeared from my life when I was in crisis and right before that they seemed very happy as I became more depressed. They never came to my place and never asked to. I was always the one putting more effort into the friendship by visiting them etc. Also, towards the end the older of the 2 who I made friends with initially - began to talk like me. It was eery! I never took on her hobbies - we were quite different in terms of interests. She would go to parties without me and tell me after the fact. She would seem passive-aggressive whenever I was doing better than she expected. She was tall and slender while I'm short & curvy.
I stay away from Drama queens. I left my last job because my co-worker was mean and jealous of me. I'm African and she was a Filipina-American woman who is a few years older than me. A man in the work building was showing me a lot of attention (just Good Morning each day) and mind you, this girl has a Boyfriend of several years. She doesn't live with him but I feel that she's an insecure person who's not happy with that situation. It sounded like they go 50/50 on everything including all their vacations. She told me this herself, she talked a lot but I rarely told her about my personal life.
