His speech pattern changed dramatically from July to November. Scary really.

I am an RN and I am baffled at how fast this disease progresses. It is the quickest debilitating disease I know of.
It is a brutal thing to have and go through. :(

Very few diseases are as vicious as this one. Sitting here in 2024 there is still no cure

If I would have this horrific disease, I would kill myself (as long as this is still possible) . I saw some of these cases on German TV and some of these people were travelling - better: were being transported - to Switzerland, because assisted suicide is illegal in Germany. In the United States, where it is relatively easy to have access to a gun, I would probably take this option. I have no idea, why ALS sufferers wait until the very natural end. Probably they are hoping for a last-minute cure, I don`t know. But it is an individual decision and I respect it of course. May Kevin rest in peace, wherever he is now!

100% agree. There is no way I would allow this disgusting perversion of nature to slowly kill me - *I* would choose a date time and place and shuffle off this mortal coil on MY terms just to throw up a massive middle finger to what ever genetic error causes this horrific cruel illness to trap people in their own bodies! NOT me, ALS

I always thought like you and I still do to an extent but the strange thing is the older you get the more you hope you don’t die yet and carry on a few more years.

Easier said then done . I'm newly diagnosed and I feel the same but at the same time the will to live and just exsist is strong

@@jayg-lg2ot praying for you. Stay strong. It must be so unbelievably scary to watch Kevin’s decline in the series, especially being newly diagnosed.
