ALS has to be one of the worst possible diagnosis you can get. Almost 90 years from Lou Gehrig's death and still no answers, no funding, no cure. And at the same time, they are putting 100s of billions to wars.
Gosh such a strong and healthy man being taken down by this dreadful illness. Unbelievable!!! Sounds like he took excellent care of himself. Absolutely tragic!! Rest In Peace sir!!❤️💔❤️
He contributed enormously as to what this cruel illness does to an otherwise healthy man. The pain comes from the thoughts of his family and the time they wont spent together. He did his best with valor. RIP
My left leg from the knee down is weak, numb & mostly paralysed. I've lost 45khgs in 14 months, nausea & vomiting all the time. Had a million tests. Last one was a pet scan & 2 ct scans, it's not cancer. I see the oncologist again in 2 weeks & they're going to start testing for ALS. I'm 56 & I've got 8 grandies (probably 2more coming), youngest grandson 6 month's that I'd very much like to see grow up. I'm scared, not going to lie, I am shit scared.
I just came across this video and so sorry for the awful disease and its outcome. My friend was just diagnosed with this. I can't say more as anything that I say would fall flat in comparison to what you all have suffered. I have severe CRPS, affecting most of my body and all I can say is again, so sorry and might the God of the Bible help you all.
The thing about ALS and any other terminal illness is that they mock our pride, our sense of self-importance, our foolish assumption that we have time. I wonder why we need to see a man’s life ebb away to appreciate that all we have is today.
To be robbed of life at the height of his powers is certainly cruel. The other tragedy is off-screen but felt just as much-his wife’s grief. He was a smart, dignified man. RIP.

A member of my immediate family was just diagnosed with ALS and it took a year. This is devastating and we are so heartbroken.
