As time goes on you get a sense about which customers are worth pursuing and which ones you are better walking away from in order to free up space for better quality work in the long run. It’s also easy to prioritise the add on services to the detriment of your regular window cleaning customers , thanks for the video🤙🏻
Great advice mate ive just got to the stage where i have a really healthy round and have a sky vac on order to add another string to my bow then when i get a bigger van ill take the pressure washing leap . random one what glasses are they u have on 🤣 i like them and need new ones haha
I try and fit quoting in at the end of the day or early evening as you need to strike quick to get the jobs. Excluding PW we are fairly close on where we are. I am going to start canvassing as soon as I can, weather this week looks like it will only give me time to do all my regular work..
Yes 100%, At the start I would always make the time and effort to go and see customer in person as it helped to build rapport with them, but in may this slacked off. Where are you based? Yes canvassing can be an awesome way to generate business, have you used a canvassing company?
@@seeitcleanphil Based in Sunny Blackpool, when I said close I meant number of customers etc, not location :-). I wouldn't trust a canvassing company, too many variables plus I want to meet the customers and quote in person - no 2 houses are the same, lots of old Victorian plus new builds so real mix here. Paying for turnover is an expensive way to grow, getting out there and meeting people seems way to go.
Hi , wondering what you use to reatore sills, get rid of that grey grime that seems to build up, im up here i. The north east and ive tries thompson upvc abd frogsuit both ok but not great any help would be great...
@@seeitcleanphil thanks yep got some last week , works great , not sure about the abrasiveness but so far works a treat , started using an old electric toothbrush for the gutter clamps/brackets ha
Hi mate thanks for putting out all the great content. I just wanted to know how would you hire/pay someone? Hourly or per job? Would they just work when needed? Always something I’ve been wondering about. Always heard it’s good to hire someone as soon as you are able to
Thank you for your comment, tbh this is only something that we've recently started...I will put together a video on this. Things to consider are - Full or Part time (start with 1/2 days per week and then build it up if its an option, it all depends on the person you are hiring and what they need.) I would always prefer to be transparent with them and set the scene out. We prefer to pay a day rate as it keep its simple for us if they are part time.
Hi mate enjoy the videos. I'm thinking of starting a window cleaning business but I can't find any information on where to actually get the pure water from? Any advice would be great. Keep up the good work
Hey Chris, Awesome mate. You can either make it or buy it, we buy it from Spotless Water which has a ton of stations over the country and also Pure24 which has a handful of locations. Where are you based?
@@seeitcleanphil hi buddy. Oh ok so there are just station's you fill up at, that makes sense. I'm based in Harlow Essex and really interested in getting into it. Any other information you could share would be great 😁
