I grew up with three dogs. The third one my older brother brought home. His name was Brandy and my brother said he had been abused and that the owners had agreed to let my brother have him. Brandy spent the first several weeks at our house cowering in a corner of our living room. Even years after he had been living with us he would still run away at any loud noise, flinch at any quick movement and to be pet he would always roll over on his back and let you pet his belly. That was the only way you could pet him. Totally submissive. We were always kind and loving to him and did our best not to frighten him in any way and he lived a long and happy life. His fearful behaviors lessened over time but they never went away. I'm just so grateful to my brother than he was brave enough to confront those people and convince them to let him take Brandy away from them.

It's like every other animal that is awaiting their cruel fate. Why should it being a dog be taken into consideration?
Only dog lovers would understand. Some people have zero respect for ANY animal. Some people think animals are just on earth to use or for financial gain.

I adopted a meat farm rescue from Korea. She has a lot of trauma from her experience. It has taken years for her to trust and to be able to experience joy. Love and patience goes a long way. We've learned to give her lots of space and let her come to us.

It's not that amazing. Many animals have exactly the same neurological pathways. It's why they test on animals in psychological experiments.

Have you looked at how the meat, that you’re most likely eating is being produced? There is literally no difference here. A dog is not a higher being, than a pig or cow. Both are being bred for slaughter.

There is many reasons why people should not eat dogs. Not only moral and spiritual reasons but also healthy reasons. Do your research. And stop being part of the problem. What you will not do.

do you share that sentiment for the animals you eat?
@D Z Because people don't see the animals itself, when are wrapped meat at groceries. Or decorating dishes at the restaurant , so the way it's presented to the community doesn't look like animals, just food, consequently makes it easy to not think about it however best would be if everyone become vegetarian. Poor sweet dogs, thank you for rescuing them❤❤
I grew up with three dogs.
