    I would gladly watch a play through of this game! Also if you plan on checking out any other ost I suggest either “The promised concert” or “Those united in common cause”!!

    You should totally try the game out. Its a tough game to get into due to the difficulty ans the abstract nature of how the studio makes their games but its very worth it. One of the most captivating amd intense experiences you can get from a game. The lore and story is mostly received through item descriptions btw so make sure to read them if you ever play

      @ImAmirusand messmers theme is just a dark remix of the main theme and radagons theme and its great. Also I gotta ask what you mean by no build up

    • @diegootero1686
      @diegootero1686 6 дней назад +1

      @ImAmirus What a weird take. It's neither shorter, nor the climax. That motif is a funeral for radahn in his original theme, but it's used completey differently in Promised Consort. It's very much a better composition, and one of the best fromsoft's made.

    • @HeevaEgo
      @HeevaEgo 6 дней назад

      @ImAmirus musically they take a different approach. Even if the motif is the same. I somewhat understand what you mean by “no buildup”. But that’s just a preference thing, not an objective “this is pointless” thing. Radahns Festival is a funeral. The Battle of Divinity is a heroic triumph. Both OST’s aim to do different things with different tones and styles of the Radahn Motif
      It’d be like saying “Lawrence’s theme is completely pointless because it’s a remix of the Cleric Beast” like what😭😭

    If I can make a track recommendation, it would be the "Regal Ancestor Spirit" theme. A lot of music in Elden ring has a similar vibe, but this one really stands out imo

    i really recommend "The Lord of Frenzied Flame", this one's darker and more obscure, but probably one of the bests in the entire game, really makes you feel fear and dread while listening to it

    Since you are considering playing the game, which I would totally be there for, I would recommend you to listen to the soundtrack after finnishing the game, or after meeting one of these characters. Listening afterwards gives you the pleasure of having a lot more context to the piece. For example you might find that the music corresponds with something happening in game. Just my 50 cents.
    Anyway, great reaction, good to see someone with some music knowledge, acknowledging the timpanists out there! Really hope to see a playthrough. What's the worst thing that could happen by trying it out?

    • @padrenuestre
      @padrenuestre 6 дней назад +1

      Agree, better play first if there is the possibility of doing so. Like for the Messmer's ost, for example: learning about the character first would've added so much more context to the soundtrack.

      @ I know right! And when you go against one boss for hours you learn to associate the music with what’s happening, as with a certain boss in Belurat. When just listening to ost you will know what the boss is doing in that moment. Love that

    Looks you’ve jumped straight to the DLC Expansion! The expansion contains some of the best Fromsoftware music. So instead, in case you’d be curious, I inversely rather want to stray you away the DLC and towards the basegame’s music first:
    Basegame Compositions like ‘The Final Battle,’ ‘Starscourge’ and ‘Lord of Blood’ are some of my highlights of the basegame OST :D
    When it comes to the DLC, pretty much all of the boss OST is stellar. But ones I think are particularly worth recommending are ‘The Promised Consort’, ‘Lord of the Frenzied Flame’, ‘the Saint of the Bud’, and the ‘Divine Beast’
    (In case you were planning on playing the game before listening to some of the OST, for spoiler reasons I avoided naming explicit details in the boss’ names :D)

    There's no actual latin in the songs of any soulsborne game except for Bloodborne, where all the songs have lyrics you can translate. In Elden Ring you'll hear a word every now and then that feels very inentional in the "lyrics", but most of it is just latin sounding gibberish.

    You should absolutely play Elden Ring! There are things you should know before getting into it. You are going to die. You are going to die a lot. Don't worry that's normal and its part of the game it doesn't mean you're bad. What makes a good Elden Ring player is one that can die for hours on a boss and keep going. You should be going in with the mindset of "victory is inevitable, it is only a matter of time." There are ways to make the bosses easier like spirit summons, and you can make the game really easy if you make your build right. And there is nothing wrong with using summons and spells if you don't have the patience to learn the bosses. I personally recommend not using them. Every boss is like a puzzle and has a unique cadence and rhythm and they all require unique strategies to beat. And once you learn them it is really fun, however for some of the more complex bosses it will take a long time and you will die a lot to them. If you use spirit summons you completely negate the need to "solve the puzzle" and instead you can use the same strategy to beat every boss (something called trading agro). Again nothing wrong with using spirit summons if you don't have the patience to learn the bosses move sets but it is much more rewarding and you will like the bosses more if you have the patience to put the time in and learn the move sets (and it will make for better content). Another thing you should know is that Elden Ring is a very Long game. You should expect to put in at least around 100 hours into the base game to beat it. (My first playthrough took 120). And that is not including the DLC which adds around 60 hours of content to the game as well. Last thing I want to say is that the story is going to be very hard to understand on your first playthrough. Elden Ring's story is incredibly complex and is mostly told through item descriptions and environmental story telling. I had no idea what was happening on my first playthrough because I was not reading item descriptions. I recommend reading all of the item descriptions that you can if you want to get a good understanding of the story on your first playthrough. There are lots of lore youtubers that do pretty good at explaining everything that you should watch after you play the game. Even though you might not have a good grasp of the story I promise you that you will love this game as the open world, art direction, and combat are enough to make it a 10/10 game. Good luck Tarnished! May you become the Elden Lord!

    My advice in playing the game is that Buy the DLC and everything with the base game. Dont seperate it as "base game" or "DLC" just treat the entire thing is one big package and go on an adventure. 1st playthrough is special after all.
