This is so fun to watch because we've all been there, either with Elden Ring or other souls-likes. For me it was Bloodborne, I spent soo long in the first area until I was able to understand how it works. After it clicked the rest of the game was a breeze. Stick with it and enjoy the journey!

We all die a lot in these games. If you touch the blood stains, you can see how other players died, and that can provide hints on how to survive. Old school tip: use Rainbow Stones (you can craft a ton of them with Ruin Fragments) to drop glowing markers that can help you get thru confusing dungeons. Use them over ledges and watch them fall. If there is no bottom, or they break at the bottom, the fall will kill you. If the stone doesn't break at the bottom, you will survive the fall, but there will still be fall damage. Use Soft Cotton to negate this fall damage (or make your footsteps silent). Fun playthru dude, keep it up

1 - always light up the graces you find, they're your checkpoints in the game in case you die. You'll respawn at the last one used. You didnt get the one at the church for example. 2 - Hold 'B' to run. This is useful in exploration, but especially in combat. 3 - Tap 'B' and let go of the buttom while walking in any direction, this is a roll. I'm only saying this because you seem to be sometimes backstepping instead of rolling, that happens when you press B without walking in any direction with the analog stick. 4 - Since you're a begginer, use shields and pay attention to your stamina(green bar below health). Defending, rolling and attack depletes the green bar. 5 - It's usually not worth it to use healing spells, atleast not the basic ones. Your main source of healing in these games is the flask of cerulean tears that heals you.

if you are playing on steam you must set up the controller you use to get the full benefits: top left click on steam, then go settings choose enable steam input then choose the controller you are using, then go to library right click on elden ring go to porperties then click controller for set up using your controller. if I'm starting the first playthrough on any soulsborne games I always choose the quality build so that I will have access to all the weapons ( must have a melee weapon and bow for taking enemies one by one instead of figthing them in groups and also for finding a good spot in an area to snipe them one by one before moving forward), in elden ring you choose the confessor class which is excellent for quality build because you already had a decent strength and dex plus faith for buffs and condition cleansing ( poison and rot) spells. hope this helps you have a good journey and have fun in the game. btw... to many soulsborne gamers from the community the endgame is pvp so try it and also try coop if you are having a hard time, there are tools in the game to make it easy on you, used it ( comming from the developers themselves). don't be an elitist like a lot streamers play the game to have fun playing with other players or alone, it's up to you.

You’re doing fine, it will all click. Always keep an eye out for lost graces, especially places like dragon communion island, makes returning to them easier.

Good luck bro and use the enchantments that are good for status effects and don't be ashamed to cast them so you can see what the boss does, since many people don't get to see all the boss's moves due to having little health and that's why they waste hours on them. You play with your head, not with pride. ✌️

Try not to rely too heavily on lock-on. Some of the bosses have incredibly janky camera angels. Lost runes show up on both the compass and the map screen with a little marker looks kind of like lightning. Rolling isnt the end all be all. Incredibly important... but so is just regular jumping in the game. In fact there are times when jumping is a far better option than rolling. Also, jumping over attacks makes you feel so badass when it happens

this game kills your ego first, you have to accept failure as a learning experience

Love seeing it!! Little advice, stick to areas like Limgrave and the Weeping peninsula to the south for now! Explore, talk to characters, find armor and weapons. You’re doing great!

It's hard to deny that Elden Ring was intended to be played with controller while locked on target. But honestly, using mouse with free aim just feels better to me.

I think it's pretty cool how I've already seen three things in this game that I never saw before. Backstabbing Rick, hiding in a bush right next to soldiers, and now getting the shop/runes info page to pop when visiting a "shop" that doesn't even accept runes.

Don't forget the other tip about talking to everyone until they've had their say. That includes the white masked dude you met right when you exited to above ground.

This game has so much in it, it can be overwhelming. But you are doing FANTASTIC! I was new to souls games and it seems so difficult. Looking back, the game really does try to help you if you can slow down enough to watch for things - this was my biggest problem initially. I was so excited playing I just skipped over the hints and clues the game gave me. But it doesn’t matter, it’s all about having fun in the end. So much replay ability because you miss so much the first time lol. I hope you keep going, it’s worth it!

Just subscribed to your channel…Elden ring drawn me in. Entertaining so far I hope you keep it up. It’s easy to forget the learning curve on fromsoft games. But honestly if you grasp the combat and the mechanics, fromsoft have made some of my favourite games of all time! My tip for Elden ring would be to take your time, keep exploring limgrave and to the south. Just don’t feel pressured to take on the first story boss just yet as you will have a tough time and really want you to enjoy this one!

some more tips without spoiling: 1. really remember the lock-on. Numer 1 mechanic. but you can deactivate it at times when you only need to run or dodge in order to get a potion in. 2. holding the dpad down always takes you to your first item (usually your healing flask) 3. keep looking at your stamina. whenever you do a hit or dodge or block you loose some. if you are at 0 you can not attack and you will get staggered when hit. so always balance it. 4. for beginners, but skillspoints into more hp. it helps a lot beeing able to take some hits before dying when you are not so confident yet on dodging 5. you can run past most enemy groups in eldenring / souls. just hold the dodge button an go straight to the local boss if you have already cleared the area previously. so you reach the boss with full hp and flasks. 6. it is normal to die a lot. learn the patterns of the bosses and just retry-retry-retry. you can go into a fight without doing attacks if you just want to get a bit comfortable with the boss. only lock-on and dodge for a while to see which attacks can be punished well. 7. runes are everything. currency but also needed to level you up (at sites of grace). at the dragon communion however, you dont pay with runes but with dragon hearts, which you get by killing dragons. normal merchants however will accept runes for trade 8. get a torch or a lantern for dark caves. maybe there is a merchant that could help you with that ;) have fun and may the eldenring guide your ways

go to the entrance of the castle u wanted to go to in the first ep, there u will meet someoe who will teach u to lvl up and will give u ur steed

You missed the site of grace on the island!!! Always touch grace when you find one. They are also your fast travel points.

With runes you can buy stuff, they are your money, and you use runes to level up. Runes are like experience points in other games, you need a certain amount to level up.

0:55 Don't forget to exhaust the dialogues of everyone you speak to! Keep talking to them until they start to repeat their dialogue. Hope you're having fun!

Hey there, its the person who left a comment on almost all your OW vids :) I just recently finished this game, its incredible, its certainly a long journey, especially for beginners. It may seem a little overwhelming and difficult, but its incredibly rewarding to explore, especially the dungeons and ruins you find scattered around in this game to get stronger and find gear. Once you get an idea of the flow of things, it eventually clicks, even if it takes a while! I'll come back with more beginner tips once you get access to more of the game and items, so no spoilers, but there are a lot of very useful things hidden around the map. Some bosses and significant enemies are a test of mental fortitude and patience, staying calm and learning their moves is the key. My hardest fight took about 2 hours, but I've seen other creators put much more time into certain fights 😅 P.S The player signs are hilarious (and often very helpful [or troll you]) and can only be made using preset phrases, but yes they can be a little crazy lol

This is awesome man! keep going and you can do it! If you ever get stuck, don't be afraid to head the other direction and go exploring, there isn't a boss in this game that can't be overcome with the right tools, you just gotta look for em. Oh and, you might want to consider quickly heading back down to the tutorial cave, its built to ease you into the game and It'll be much more helpful at that now that you've gotten the button prompts sorted out Don't you dare go hollow

Have fun with it! Don't worry too much about how you play, there's no "wrong" way to play. For me personally I love fighting without summons, it makes the bossfights a lot harder but for me more rewarding aswell, but if you have more fun playing with them that's completely okay, there might be people complaining but it doesn't matter, it's a game and you just have to do what is the most fun in your book :)

Hey, here is some important information the game might have failed to teach you. Please read it, these are not tips, but merely stuff you should know! The game gives you tutorial pop-ups at times, but it seems you may not have understood some of the ones. The game expects you to know them, so here's a short explanation for some: - Sites of Grace. They are your save points and act as fast travel (the golden campfire-like things). These things emit a trail of golden light, pointing in a certain directon (this can also be seen on its icon on the map). It points to the general direction you should go to progress the story. **Not all Sites of Grace have these trails** (Every Grace also has golden lights stretching far from them, so if you ever see some golden light in the air, follow it and there will be a grace) - About dying. When you die, you loose all the runes (money) you currently have on you. To get it back, you must go back to the place where you died, and find a golden glowing twig ("Retrieve lost runes"). But if you die AGAIN, BEFORE picking it up, you will loose all your runes. The location of your runes will be shown on the compass at the top of the screen - Gold summoning signs If you ever see a gold summoning sign in the wild, it will be an NPC, and not a player **Other important things the game won't explicitly teach you** - Exhaust NPC dialouge, most NPC's have more things to say, and it can often be important (and even give you items) - If you want the lore of the game, or learn more about this world, you'll have to read item descriptions of things you pick up. You can access them from your Inventory in your menu, and then clicking the button for "View more/Expand" (it will say at the bottom what to press, just look for it) There is also an option in the settings to create a new Inventory Menu that shows the most recent items you picked up. If you plan to read descriptions, I recommend turning on this setting (probably in Display Settings) I have one more thing I wanted to say, but this is more of a tip. I recommend you visit the church just besides the big golden horse knight, there is a shop with some **crucial** items there Good luck :>

PRO tip when starting a new game always go to game settings to take your advantage

You're going to progress just fine. Just keep going. Be prepared to fight unbeatable bosses that you will have to go back into the map and find ways to upgrade your character before trying again.

even though he go thro tutorial if you miss some instructions like 'LOCK-ON' its considered you miss all the tutorial

After 200hrs in this game the only complaint I have is that if I hadn't googled alot of stuff I would have no clue what the heck the story was. The game has zero to no exposition. You have to be a detective to figure it out on your own. You learn the story through clues in the environment and character dialogue that you interact with. Be careful who you kill. You can completely block access to parts of the story if you kill certain characters.

Honestly, I would Highly Recommend that you do the tutorial cave again after you fixed the button prompts. (just go back and take the plunge again, won't take u mins)
