At this point, people toggling "Follow Leader", not understanding that it's a toggle and dying because allies don't attack is a classic. You see those at least once per playthrough :DDD
I was extremely surprised, I loved it. Like, I couldn't believe that was a nopon, I was looking for someone else talking even the third time he spoke. Riku's voice is freaking great. The actor does a great job too.
Just a tip for the future, if you’re in battle and want to listen to the music if you hold - it pauses the game and you can listen to the music. I learnt you could do this after I finished the game and wish I learnt it earlier
People give so many good advices in your videos man, it's kind of amazing. Your community is very special. I always love it here. Not all youtube is the same.
Although the tutorials are way better than XC2, there are still plenty of ways that they go wrong, due to how they work or are used in the game. For example: A lot of people miss the nuances of Role actions, due to how early they are during the long intro sequence. At least on that front, the game will repeat the tutorial later, which does help. However, since having a bad Art setup can break your talent gauge (especially easy for healers), they should have reminded the player about them when giving access to the art setup menu, since it's been a while from when you learned about Role actions, and a while before you will be reminded again. The locked-in tutorials are definitely annoying (the worst is yet to come I'm afraid, where you have to do basically the same action 12 times in a row before it ends), and so people zone out, or have an idea they want to persue that they forget before the tutorial end. Also, having the lock-in tutorials pop up a message after almost every button press makes them extra annoying. On the plus side (but undersold by the game): The "tips" menu (returning from Torna) holds all the collected tutorials, including: - ones that never actually popped up in-game: - In-battle Dash (sorta useful, and used by the AI all the time) - Status Effects - as well as the ones almost everyone immediately forgets: - Follow Leader - Navigation Aid On the later front, it's criminal that they don't hint at how the customizable ZL menu even works. Sure it's somewhat advanced, and the default setup is fine, but there are a wealth of useful shortcuts available to be hotkeyed, allowing one to bypass the main menu, and most players never find out about since they forget that the Navigation Aid even exists. I suggest that you look over the tips from time to time. You don't need to read them all, sometimes the title is enough to remind you or make you want to look at the full entry. The game does track which ones were "read" so you can find new ones if you regularly look over them. My suggestion is to look over them if you haven't played for a while, at the start of / before a play session.
I use it to group the party when there's healing and other ranged buffs laid down. This way, everyone benefits. Or i use it to get them out an environmental hazard or so I can maneuver them to a better side for their positionals (I press it again to turn it off before they reach me).
Those shop tutorials felt super passive aggresive to me XD. Xenoblade 2 was highly criticized for their lack of tutorials (or bad tutorials). So here I swear the attitude of the developers feels passive aggresive. Like, they will explain you how to buy an item in an rpg. Wtf XDDDD
@Alfonso88279 X got the same criticism. But a good chunk of the time X was being criticized for it, it was because nobody thought to read the manual.....
The tutorials in xc3 are a major improvement, but somehow they still shat the bed on the tutorials for some of the most significant battle mechanics. Some people pretty much go the whole game without ever properly understanding important details about a certain battle mechanic which hasn't been introduced yet

Don't skip side quests. They're more significant in 3 than 1 or 2.
For the love of Miyamoto, don't skip them here.
I love seeing people's reactions to Riku XD. It didn't surprise me much personally, remember Pupunin and Niranira? They had fairly deep voices as well

This is good, your voice already perfect
Here's a funny thought, go back and just imagine all of riki's goofy lines but in riku's voice now XD

I never knew, that's amazing, thanks.
I learnt it in like chapter 4, I was glad lol

I recalled i had this mistake of using Follow Leader. And from then on I make sure I never use that mode, no matter what 😂
lol!

Yeah, sometimes it's useful. But when it's useful is because things are going wrong.
