I had to mute the audio in the scene around the 1:02:00 mark. Sorry y'all. Just know I loved it!
Did they really claim your video for that??? RUclips is freaking broken...
That is concerning if you had to mute it due to copyright claims - I've seen multiple people stream this game and put vods on YT with no issues and no need to mute the music.
Have you tried to dispute the claim
@@azraabrams5474 It was just for a moment and it's not the best part💖, so I don't think it's worth it. Maybe there was some sound from the street or something like that. Or maybe he has a dog and the poor thing barked right then.
@@Alfonso88279 It's just for a very short length, maybe it was just some random noise getting in the middle of the recording or something like that.
Yew and Zuo were actually mercenaries from Garfont in Xenoblade 2 and Vandham's trusted men.
Yeah so when you first heard this song you were asking where in the game its from cus it sounded like some epic endgame theme, nope they give it you right away in the tutorial boss fight XD
Also i think you noticed it during your reaction with how at some points in the song the chanting starts looping back and forth between earphones. You can see now, its literally drawing the moebius symbol inside your head as you're listening to it, its a really cool subtle secret
And wow, this has got to be the first time i've seen xenoblade footage hit with copyright, usually i never see any trouble, really hope thats not gonna be a running problem. You've probably been told this already too, but you see noah and mio's flutes in that scene? Well during development they actually made real life working replicas of those flutes and used them to record the soundtrack in this game. So whenever you hear flutes being played, it is actually those 2 flutes playing it =P
About bonus XP: It's basically the same as Xenoblade 2, where any time outside of combat you are told that you "got" XP, you are in fact getting bonus XP.
This means that all of the following are actually stockpiling points and not directly leveling you up:
- Completing Quests & Collectapaedia cards
- Finding new areas
- Opening chests
The point is to make those that complete sidequests not "automatically" higher level than those that rush the story, and if you are having an issue with some story event, you can complete some quests or do exploring to build up the stockpile to level up without having to do a lot of fighting.
There are 2 main downsides to leveling up this way.
First unlike XC1:DE (but like 2 and Torna) you can't downlevel until you beat the game, so you can't intentionally give yourself a handycap to make the current area have extra / appropriate challenge.
Second, there are other rewards from combat that scale with XP and you don't get from the Campfire level-up, so if you are too high level, you are getting less things like CP to rank up your class & abilities because you are attacking weaker opponents.
The game has other ways to gain these rewards, although some are primarily available from the DLC arena mode. The main point is that if you aren't careful, you can max out your XP level, and thus slow down the growth of your classes and abilities, especially for newly unlocked things. That being said, at max level your base stats should be good enough to power through any such deficiencies to beat the main story, and at that point you can down level to get a reasonable flow of non-XP rewards again.
Still, the general advice I'd give is to not use bonus XP until you are having problems in combat, and basically only use it as an alternative to grinding to save time.
The cutscenes in XC3 are on another level. XC1 had superb ones for the time and 2 also has some bangers. But the animation and the cinematography really stepped up in XC3.
I also think this game gets the balance between light hearted anime and hard hitting deep emotional moments just right.
Saturn this will be wild ride ... XD
Vandham got done dirty! 😱
Mwamba should have known better than to give off all those death flags though. Sorry Mwamba that one's on you!
Thought he could get away with it like Dunban.
@aneasteregg8171 That's definitely not Dunban over there!
@@Requinix17 Who's dunban? Did I miss something?
@@carlotasamaria2945
Dunban is a character from the original Xenoblade Chronicles game, Xenoblade 1. Despite giving off massive death flags initially throughout his introduction in the opening chapter, he survived and even becomes a main party member fairly early on.
@@TheProgressiveFrequency I searched for him. Wow. He reminds of a fusion between Hugh Jackman and Keanu Reeves. He seems to be also mature and intelligent. And he survives, which I find attractive too.
Great husbando😽
This is my favorite time watching your channel
I like the vibes here. I haven't played this game but it looks interesting. I find it both dark and cozy for whatever reason.
Welcome! Thank you for watching!
That’s Xenoblade
There's a mechanic introduced not long after this that you can't progress through if you only fight enemies whose levels are more than 5 below the party's, and over leveling can also rob the game of any challenge, so there are a few reasons to save bonus exp and only use it if you find yourself trailing too far behind enemies.
Seconded. I made the mistake of grinding on higher level enemies more than I should have and it messed things up a bit. You can always bump up the difficulty to Hard, but even that doesn't completely solve it because of reasons. Best to just go with the flow, don't grind on purpose because there will naturally be enough enemies and you will naturally collect enough resources while questing without having to go out of your way.

OMG YAY MORE XB3.
When it comes to bonus xp, it helps prevent one from being overleveled when you want to have a more balanced experience. Quests can give a lot of xp, so it is nice to be able to save that xp until you need it instead of becoming overleveled discouraging quest completion in the game with the best side quests in the series.
Being on level also helps with a future mechanic.
The game doesn't intentionally get easier when you die, but you keep all the XP you gained from the fight up to the point you died, regardless of how you restart. As long as there are multiple enemies in the fight, and you kill at least one, you are gaining XP towards the next level even if you do end up losing the fight. Also, sometimes the setup for the battle the first time you do it (e.g.: via a cutscene) may have given you a handycap which isn't present if you restart (although this is rare), but you can disadvantage yourself by rushing ahead before auto-recover fully heals your team where a restart guarantees your party is full life at the start of combat. Finally, the option to change your loadout on retry lets you fix many issues, to address what happened in the failed fight.
More importantly, for stuff like the Mio/Sena/Taion battle, your strategy/gear is very important when you are fighting multiple opponents close to their level:
- Not sure if you fixed it, but you earlier specialized Noah's accessory to do extra damage to machines (when fighting the automatons), so you were doing less damage to "humans" than with the attack stone you had on since the start of the game. If you want to be safer, focus on general stat boosting items first over ones specialized for certain opponents / situations, as otherwise the rest of your setup needs to be able to handle things like the main damage dealer suddenly doing much less damage. At the start, focus on making a character generally better at their Role, and when you get more slots for equipment, then you can add specializations.
- Aggro management is very important. Eunie's main ability (group heal) builds up aggro from all opponents, so if you're not careful she'll be targeted by the enemies you and Lanz are not attacking, unless Lanz has equipment / uses his skills to build up aggro on all opponents. If Lanz is free to attack anyone, he can make sure if there are enemies not targeting him, he can target them to build their aggro towards him, but with "Focus Attacks" he must attack your target, and thus Eunie can become the extended focus of the enemies you aren't targeting. Since healers are the only ones who can revive in this game, the moment they go down you are in an unrecoverable downward spiral, where you basically have a time limit to win the fight before you die. The more opponents you fight at once, the harder it is to ensure that enemies only attack a defender.
- Finally, although you did target their healer (Taion) first, your second priority should probably have been the attacker (Sena). It will take you longer to take down the defender (Mio), and the whole time the attacker is free to do their thing. The attacker should go down faster, and the defender usually can't do much damage on their own. Also, unlike monsters your party is generally not affected by aggro, so unless defenders have a target lock art you are free to attack whomever you please, so rarely does it make sense to target a defender first, as enemies attacking your defender is usually why *you* win.
Vandham is kind of the Cid of the Xenoblade games. In the West this got mixed up a bit, but in Japanese certain characters all have the name 'Vandamu". In Xenoblade 1 they translated the Name to 'Vangarre'. This was the Colonel of Colony 9 aka 'Square-Tache'.
In all later Xenoblade games, XCX, XC2, XC3 they used the name Vandham in the West.
So like Cid the name reoccurs in every game, but they are always new characters. Some claim the name even has some roots in Xenogears and Xenosaga, but there they only share the syllable 'Van'. For me that connection is a bit thin, but seemingly the devs wanted to make a pun with the name Jean-Claude Van Damme.
I guess the names share their origins in that joke.
RE: your question on why hoard EXP and not lvl up to max at camps - you get over-leveled too easily in this game, especially if you do side content, which messes up with some of the game mechanics. I would not recommend doing that unless you want to push only through the main story.
Being a bit overleveled can be a good thing too sometimes. Especially if you want to get through some story sections quickly. I think the game throws enough 'roadblocks' in your way to stop you from time to time and forces you to grind some levels.
So I think you can use the Bons XP as you like. Sometimes a little push is just the thing you need...
Not using bonus exp can help if you're looking for a challenge while still doing a lot of side quests, so mainly for self imposed challenge
This isn't really a spoiler, but don't think much of the Vandham name. The name has been a staple since Xenosaga episode 1. Colonel Vangarre from the first Xenoblade was known as Vandham in Japanese. He's like the Cid of the Xeno games
I enjoyed watching this, but I just hate that ads are relentless.. 2 ads every 3-4 minutes, man what the spark
