One time I was running my boats on a lake in Tennessee, and a bank fisherman came from several hundred yards away and asked me to quite running my boats in the lake! I told him to go back to his spot and quit bothering me!

Love mine, upgraded prop and turn fins,ran on 4s no prob on down side lost two lids,easy to submarine. In rough water, so I recomend tape as well as the factory lock tabs.
You two do a great job at this! Any time I want to pick something up R/C for a vacation trip, I look for your most recent best of videos. One recommendation is to update the description for the year and repost the video if the "best of" in one year is still the best of next year.

Thats nice and fast. I did rc boats in the early 80s. No water cooling then but boy did they get hot. Motors didnt last long. My biggest boat had an rs550 brushed motor.

I gave mine a half blue half red paint job on the top, painted around the arrow logo and painted around the black line design already in place it looks really nice, also I’d suggest getting 2 batteries just because of the limited time, I’d say each battery lasts 5 minutes

This is an amazing boat!! As you say, especially for the price! Love putting bigger props and batteries in it, with out pushing it too much. Have gotten 50km/hr with stock components except different prop!

nice little budget boat. You gotta watch turning so sharply while under full power because most boats will over heat quickly. They usually warn you of this in the owners manual.

Chris - I bought this boat last year after the RC S's recommendation. I love it. Like you, everything I have bought based on their recommendations has been excellent. I have 2 lakes near me (one an inland lake, the other Lake Michigan). I started out on the inland lake and had a blast. Performance and control we pretty much what the video shows. Out on Lake Michigan though, that was even more fun. On a claim day, Lake Michigan still has 5-6" breaking waves close to shore. Perfect for high jumping this boat and doing some wave surfing. Then I take it a little farther out and hit the rolling waves at full throttle and enjoy the jump from wave top to wave top. Awesome boat and awesome recommendation.

We will likely post a “best boats for 2022” video but it will probably be at the end of the year. I think we currently own somewhere around 30 or more RC boats, but have owned hundreds through the years. Maybe somewhere around 150-200? It’s hard to keep track.

i have a couple of boats similar to this...for me they are the most fun...only one battery that wont break the bank...so if you have 2 or three batteries you can use your car charger and pretty much run your boat a couple of times..take a break etc..then run it more.. verses the bigger boats which take a long time to recharge 2 much bigger batteries..
I bought one when you first featured it I think about a year ago. You’re right … it is quick! I haven’t had any water issues, it’s always bone dry when I open it.

BTW: I did buy a better battery charger. I got one with a little smarts that does a nice job of testing and putting the LiPo’s to sleep for storage. Which reminds me, I need to wake them up to test the tug boat I’ve about completed.

I had that boat and drove it, it hit a stick that I didn't see it broke the propeller and couldn't get it back, I loved it and I miss it I'm hoping to order a new one this summer

what battery would you recommended because a 2200mah that it comes with won't suffice, id like to play for like 20mins at least.
this seems like the pefect boat to race with friends having same setups... the most skill full boater wins... i think with the right 3s battery and trimmed this boat goes 28 plus mph...which is plenty fast...but i have seen some modified ones doing 50-60 plus..

Try some different props. You will be amazed! It's like finding the best spur and pinion on your cars.
I bought one of these that seemed to work fine. However, I noticed it had a loud "interference" noise at low speeds and it would not self right. I sent it back and hopefully the next one I get works.

My shell cover lock broke off and now where that goes there is a hole do you know where I can possibly find a replacement it’s the little black knob that locks on the outer cover if not thank you.
I like 3s brushless boats more than bigger ones with more Lipo cells.
This one looks great. For me is only the question, how will it perform in a lake with 10-15cm or 4-6 Inch waves.
That is often in my lake.
Is it an 2200mAh Lipo?
I think for me and any other people is it helpful to see exactly what kind of battery. Because most of us have already some Lipos.

I really love my UDI005 that I bought on The RC Saylors recomendation!
I have an issue currently and was wondering if you could help provide guidance. When I start off throttling forward… I have no issues, but as soon as I tap reverse I lose all trottle control. It barely twitches at full trottle. But if I bring it in and manually move the motor or drive shaft it’s up and running again. What do you think the issue might be?
Once I know the issue I can do some RUclips Sleuthing and find a video to correct the issue. I also, have a video of the issue I’m experiencing as well if that helps for diagnosis.

Yeah, this boat rocks! The only bad thing about is the 5 minute run times. On the other hand, most rc boats get boring after 5 minutes.

Is the boat capable of moving slowly? I would rather have a great RC boat suitable to putter around in a small pond.
You can adjust the Throttle Rate so that full throttle only goes 5-10 mph and that’s usually the case with most hobby grade rc vehicles and boats . Hope this helps 👍🇺🇸
How does this compare to the carbon version of this boat? It looks like all the hardware on the carbon is aluminum and the white arrow is plastic.

depends on which model you buy?
It has a modernized version .. (you have to check which connections you get from the one you are buying from)
Mostly you can buy transitions for other batteries .. or you can change them if you know how to solder ...
Mostly the speedboat is great ... the only thing .. buy marine grease .. and lubricate the propeller shaft .... ;-)

I’ve never tested ours with anything above 3S. It could probably handle it, but in smaller bursts maybe. I’m going to officially recommend what the manufacturer recommends 😉👍😁😎⚓️

So hard to get answers to battery questions. I'm starting to think people in the boating community are clueless about batteries for some odd reason. The land guys know everything about batteries and find the best for every vehicle... not so in the boating world. It's so strange!!!!!!

How would you compare this, the Blackjack 24, and the Recoil v2...or other possible suggestions for a first boat... I think someday I'd like to get something like the Sonicwake V2 , or maybe an Impulse or something in the 3ft range...and that's probably as far as I'd take it...
