I agree, you also cant get a real time/speed measurement if you cant come towards the meter at a straight line, quick turns will fool the device and give false faster readings.
5 years ago i bought 6 ft 009 boats for 49.00 ea. new. Now they are 200.00 ea. These ft 009 boats if flipped can be righted by reversing thottle and then forward throttle. Also if main cover with spoiler is left off are so much faster and will go under water for 10 secs or more if jumped sometimes. Why have they increased in price this much?
I have the FT012 it is fun but the Esc is not that good I changed two and now I can't even find Esc for my boat anymore. Banggood or other websites don't have it. I'm well disappointed that I can't use my FT012 anymore. Can anyone help?

Only the 2nd guy I've seen do a speed vid on a RC boat but does it on choppy waters👎 makes no sense to do this. You can only get an acurate reading on completely calm water with No Wind. The Comparison vid was nice & the FT012 definitely wins hands down.
