the events in this series are taking place before the legion invasion. it makes sense to release them before the 9th. that's the point. nothing to do with preorders.
Steven Pacey, best narrator ever. I listened to these while working and they are extremely clear and easy to follow. Absolutely top quality, and the music puts accent on the emotions and the moment. It would be the most amazing thing ever to have all the previous books like this but you never know.
Just listened to the first one and was thinking, "Huh, well, I guess I wait a week or something for them to release part 2." Huh, well, I can't complain.
I think this is a great way to bridge expansions with non-game content. Not everyone is into reading or novels. I understand that it's almost impossible to put all content into the game (like with the novels) and that other means of content makes it easier to tell the story. Sometimes though, it feels like it is almost required to fully understand. These audio books or audio stories are great. They are interesting to listen to and it helps bridge the story rather well.
The entire HP magic system is subpar; but then again, it was written by a housewife, not a hardcore DnD designer/fan. No schools of magic, uses wands instead of staves and daggers, no cosmic indifference (e.g. old gods/burning legion). It's like a watered down version of high fantasy.
Yep that about sums up why I don't like the Harry Potter series. Very lack luster. More like an extra complex children's story. Warcraft has always had the grand scale I've enjoyed.
Sorry, I don't speak the "pathetic nobody on the internet" language. I am sad that your brain is evidently severly underdeveloped, that is a real shame.
For the people wondering how Maiev got to where she is: After Malfurion allowed the Worgen and Highborne to live in Darnassus, Maiev Shadowsong began to believe that Malfurion possesed the same arrogance as his brother Illidan and hated them both. (Keep in mind, Maiev was alive in the time to see Queen Azshara and the Highborne attempt to summon the Burning Legion into Azeroth. They killed countless Night Elves and destroyed part of the planet. Demons killed Maiev's entire family. She has good reason for hating the Highborne) She killed many Highborne in Darnassus and attempted to assassinate Malfurion as well. She was driven off by her brother, presumably to the Vault of the Watchers. Maiev trained with her fellow watchers for 10,000 years in the Barrow Deeps under Ashenvale. Her Watchers trust her decisions and are incredibly loyal to her. This is why she still has a following. The Watchers are an group of Night Elfs outside of the influence of the Alliance.
and yet i still find Maiev Shadowsong as one of the most unlikeable Stuiped foolish chars in all of warcraft even more so back when i played warcraft 3
I guess a lot of people arent familiar with audio books. But for those asking why certain voices sound weird/off its because all the voices are done by the same voice actor, who is also the narrator, Steven Pacey. Its something that is done quite commonly with audio books. You dont hire multiple voice actors. Just one.
Steven Pacey (the narrator) also does The First Law books which are simply amazing. I highly recommend listening to them. Very glad Blizz hired him to do this series. Great so far!
My god. I LOVE THIS SERIES. Blizzard need to do this for every single patch and expansion forever onwards. Honestly I get so immersed I love it. I just wish the actual voice actors would play their voices instead of the narrator.
I love that Blizzard did this. I always wanted to get into WoW lore, but just playing the game wasn't enough. Cba reading all the comics etc. either. Listening to this is the easiest way of absorbing the lore, and the lore is so INCREDIBLY important for the feeling of the game. Hopefully legion will be a blast, so you can keep improving on some aspects.
I agree, more to these sort of lore expositions and more so regards pre-events of the Legion (as much info is missed and even if told with no cinematics but just by storytelling with some sound effects/music is better than nothing). So keep these up please :)
All the people asking for more of this, read the books or at least find a copy of an audio version of the books, they're all fine, good enough as background noise while doing whatever while you play. MMO's are inherently a terrible way to get stories across, most people don't even know about Garrosh and Varian fighting in Ashenvale or that Sylvannas was in talks with her sister to join the Horde, leaving the alliance and her children
Keep doing this blizzard.. It is really cool, and would love many of your books read up here! with these sound effects and the skills of the reader! I love it really much! :)
Thank you so much Blizzard for releasing the second part of this amazing audio book so early! I rarely add my comments on youtube, but seriously, this deserves it! Have a thumb up^^ Oh, also: For the Horde!
This is getting better and better. Would love to see more of these short audio books.
hehey man!
See? You mean 'hear'?
See them on the channel, I'm obviously not going to listen hoping for a video to appear.
Hey guys this is Doronsmovies.....!
I do believe there will be 4 parts in total.
Didn't expect such a sudden upload after the first one
They must have heard the feedback
why would they wait a week?
Blizzard has one week to the Demon Hunter pre-order early access bonus. Figure this must be a big push for the pre-orders.
the events in this series are taking place before the legion invasion. it makes sense to release them before the 9th. that's the point. nothing to do with preorders.
One every day this week.
We need more stories like this, read by the same guy, it's amazingly relaxing and yet you get so into it
This is so good, please dont stop with these, make them even before patches and more.
Steven Pacey, best narrator ever. I listened to these while working and they are extremely clear and easy to follow. Absolutely top quality, and the music puts accent on the emotions and the moment. It would be the most amazing thing ever to have all the previous books like this but you never know.
Oh man, I would pay to see Nobbel's face while hearing to this masterpiece. This is amazing in every way
shut up with nobbel already
+Victor Voia kid... go back being a lol item
+Victor Voia nobbel is great
+volcanothdapro No, nobbel is noble.
he's prolly jerkin off to this video right now
Just listened to the first one and was thinking, "Huh, well, I guess I wait a week or something for them to release part 2."
Huh, well, I can't complain.
Invasions start next week guess everything is speeding up.
Legion is coming. theres no time left. steel yourselves
This narrator is epic :o loved every bit hyped for part 3.
I just can't believe this is all narrated by one man, on top of the fact that this is just amazing in itself.
I think this is a great way to bridge expansions with non-game content. Not everyone is into reading or novels. I understand that it's almost impossible to put all content into the game (like with the novels) and that other means of content makes it easier to tell the story. Yes! Just finished part 1. Can't wait for more if there is gonna come more. I would buy a audiobook like this.
Something to listen to while realms come back up.
This is the wizard duel I wanted Harry Potter to give me. It disappointed me. Warcraft always delivers.
Yes exactly. On point analysis.
but, but... They have a spell that can kill people!
Yep that about sums up why I don't like the Harry Potter series. Very lack luster. More like an extra complex children's story. Warcraft has always had the grand scale I've enjoyed.
Didn't expect it so soon! These things are cool, but I still salivate at the though of in-game cutscenes we are yet to see :3
пиарщик надоел
Wyrmwood ещё что кукарекнешь? "англечанин" хренов
Sorry, I don't speak the "pathetic nobody on the internet" language. I am sad that your brain is evidently severly underdeveloped, that is a real shame.
+Wyrmwood it looks Russian
This is very nice to listen to in the background
Maeiv got PISSED. Oh wait shes always pissy.
how could this get any wor-
Ilidan: ugh where am I?
Maiv: *pissy levels growing rapidly*
....well... this should be fun...
Wouldn't be her if she wasn't, that's her charm I suppose.
Since BC
Since Warcraft 3
She hasn't had vitamin D in TEN THOUSAND YEARSS
I'll be honest here, that guy pulls of a pretty good lady voice
Kiria Kurono But not a good Maiev voice.
Love this audiobook format
Khadgar vs Gul'dan in the next part get hyped.
Too bad we kinda already know how its gonna be down , tho I want the sweet sweet details.
+Enril we already know? Howb?'
+Enril how*
Gul'dan opens the portal, we know that much.
and that boths survive as well
Hype intensifies. I really like listening to these. It's something rather compelling to listen to while drawing or playing games.
Oh how fast she's gonna brick herself when she realises she's made yet another mistake, and another failure...
she hasn't made a mistake, both of them are right. the legion attacks the vault and the tomb.
the legion attacks the vault after the portal in the tomb was oppened right? no tomb portal,no assault on the vault
The Silver Dragon
Pretty much.
Lol
What an amazing ending. Two old, iconic and titanic figures fighting on the centre of one most terrifying places of power on Azeroth.
Nice one Blizz! Keep up the pace!
blizz needs to release all books like this. id pay without hesitation for it.
diablo and warcraft. :)))
Just wow :O 10/10
Handsome Khadgar best Khadgar.
It would make sense that after a while the aging spell that Medivh cast on him would begin to fade, in the lore he's in his 50's I believe.
The Blizzard explanation was that he just shaved... he's still aged up. Mages can live longer than normal humans though.
because of magic and that they feed like belfs on magic
40's*
Medivh states that it was a permanent aging spell and i'm pretty sure that if Medivh say his spell it's permanent, it probably is.
ALREADY??? Yesss!!!!
That cliffhanger is killing me

This..
Is..
So..
EPIC!

Its something that is done quite commonly with audio books. You dont hire multiple voice actors. Just one.
"How many sisters did you lose in your hunt against illidan?" gonna need a burn heal for that one.
Please keep up the daily uploads im so hyped for Legion!!! These videos help me get through the day
Steven Pacey (the narrator) also does The First Law books which are simply amazing. I highly recommend listening to them. Very glad Blizz hired him to do this series. Great so far!

would love to get more of these audio books from you guys this is awesome :)
I'm so hyped! This narrator is absolutely incredible!
God I am loving these.
Really Blizz, I would pay good money to have audiobooks of all novels like this.
I love this series, Thank you to everyone who produced these.
I love that Blizzard did this. I always wanted to get into WoW lore, but just playing the game wasn't enough. Cba reading all the comics etc. either.

Really really enjoying this. As always the tangential stuff you guys do with the story is amazing.
Now THIS is how you promote an expansion! Great story so far Blizzard.
Was not expecting so a quick release! Please, more of these!!!! :)
audio book lore is quite nice.
I got chills they're multiplying
And I'm losing control
Cause the power you're supplying
It's Electrifying!
more more more more more... I WANT MORE !
AWW Don't leave me hanging like that bro. That's the fight of the century right there! Cool story so far.
I absolutely love this, but regardless of how talented the narrator is, I'd really like a woman to do the voice of Maiev. :)
This is so well written and narrated. Well done Blizzard.
NO! You cant end it THERE. This is like the best you have ever done I need more!
This is so good, please keep doing this !
Very nice, love the music with this guy narrating
will there be a part 3 , i kinda enjoyed the narration while waiting for the ddos attack to disappear
its supposed to be a four parter. :D
+Seath L. thank you
Must release more of these!
This is great. Would love to see more plot elements develop like this.
We Need More like this!!
In Nixxiom's whinny voice "Dammit Gul'dan! Why can't you make this easier!!"
Even better than part 1! Love these
all she need is some love from illidan haha
So true, why else would she chase him all the way to outland.
Illidan senpai... please notice me
Maiev: "The stars are so beautiful tonight"
Illidan: "You know who else is beautiful"
Maiev: *blushing* "Who?"
Illidan: "Tyrande"
She wants the Illidick
Aaaand this conversation stopped being funny when the immature showed up with the "illidick"...
Khadgar; One shall stand!
Gul'dan; One shall fall!
yesssss!!! again a fantastic work , keep up going and hope the final will be 1h , haha I dream too much right? but still good job ~ GG
Alas poor Gul'dan,i knew him Khadgar.
a fellow of infinite fel, of most excellent power.
a fellow of infinite fel, of most excellent power.
The narrator is so talented!
this is fantastic!!! we need more and more of these!!
Maiev sounds like Mrs. Doubtfire. Unrelated - I usually don't like audiobook type things but I adore these.
More of these please
Another great one, Maiev is so well written character here ;)
So good , I want more!
This is SO GOOD!!!!
I agree, more to these sort of lore expositions and more so regards pre-events of the Legion (as much info is missed and even if told with no cinematics but just by storytelling with some sound effects/music is better than nothing). So keep these up please :)
Really enjoying these!! Please consider making more in the future :D
I really love it! - please make audio to all of your books!
KonaGaming You care enough to post a month after this comment was made idiot. lmao.
Keep doing this blizzard.. It is really cool, and would love many of your books read up here! with these sound effects and the skills of the reader! I love it really much! :)
These are so incredible.
Another great piece of content!
Thank you for this.
That was even better then the part one :D sound effects are amazing!
omg part 2 allready!!!!! :)
i wanna listen the next one please, this is awesome! a WOW lore animated series wouldn't be a bad idea with stories like these
More! I feel like a Blood Elf! I just need more!
and now i wanna know how will they get Guldan from Tomb of Sargeras into Vault with Illidan like he was in cinematic...
Ingame you get a cinematic i dont wanna spoil it so you shuld search it up.
Through the isle of Thal'dranath, that is also not in the game anymore ofc.
Thal'dranath is the name of the Broken Shore now.
+Red Sparrow nope, it was an island in the beta, now it's gone , the Broken Shore was there all along
hence he said 'now'
God this is fantastic. This is how you build hype, not a giant axe in a car.
Thank you so much Blizzard for releasing the second part of this amazing audio book so early! I rarely add my comments on youtube, but seriously, this deserves it! Have a thumb up^^ Oh, also: For the Horde!
This is getting really good I think Gul'dan is a good foil for Khadgar.
Love this, cant wait for part 3!
cant wait part 3 plzz!
I WANT MORE!! just close your eyes and listen!
Keep em coming please! lol
More of these please.
SQUEEEEEEE!!!! this is AWESOME!
Maiev is nothing without Illidan.. I wonder if in some twisted way, she feels love towards her prey.
Really like listening to these the writing is beautiful
Well Done I love these !
Starts painfully slowly, but picks up pace.
Freaking loving these!!
Khadgar is a fool! Legion warlocks are incredibly hard to kill in a duel! Dont throw your life away!
This is no ordinary Mage either... He is in the top 3 of most powerful mages currently alive.. Aprentice of Medivh!!
I assume Jaina is one of the 3, but who is the last?
I'd put money on it being Kalec
+Bindair Dundat probably the sunreaver leader
+eduardelric Who are the 3 strongest mages? O.o
Hype!! More of these, this is awesome!
7:30 That sick burn from Khadga. You may want to apply some healing potion to that Maiev.Make that an ancient one XD
