With any Luck, Shadowlands might be half as good as legion. Personally I loved Cataclysm the most but I have a huge crush for Neltharion so that don't count. I pray Shadowlands will be as good as legion was.

Legion deserves to be remembered fondly as one of the best Expac eras for all that it offered and all of it's story. BFA... not so much, sadly. And I've got a bad feeling about Shadowlands, if we're *starting* it with another disgraced former warchief killing an iconic villain of the past.
You go on a quest with khadgar in legion, to karazahn. He goes back to collect some books and stuff but since he knows demons would be there... You're there for backup. Also. It's not the mage's order hall in legion, that's in dalaran.
I've always really liked Khadgar as a character... but then...he got a now model update and they made him not only blazing hot but even MORE charming and sarcastic and that's when I became pretty much lovestruck with him... 😂😂😂 I now have a never-ending, unhealthy obsession with Khadgar.... So, why did Khadgar have to use a Griffon to travel back to Karazhan? He has Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian. He can open a portal to Karazhan every minute with that thing.
Or turn into a Raven and fly there. Maybe he thought he'd be taking something back with him(Do Griffon's have sadlebags?) Or maybe he just wanted to afk during the flight.
Since the ley line conversion source was drained of its power, no longer do lay lines run beneath the tower or are in a very weak fractured state. You cannot teleport there
Lorewise griffons are starting to struggle on a fully grown human (it's uncomfortable for them) since they are trained by dwarfs and acustomed to their weight. Over time they breed and captured stronger griffons that can also wear armor and light luggage as well as a human. So yes, they can have saddlebags :)
Actually, a whole lot of the actors from WC3 reprise their roles throught WoW. It's just that the mike quality and sound compression is a bit less tin-can tier.
I just have to say this: Whoever you have doing the voice acting for Khadgar, he is the absolute best I have heard. 100% believable in every facet he expresses, with tones and emotions coming across in nuanced ways, never over-acted, always appropriate for the moment & the dialogue...even when he's cracking a grandpa joke in his in-game emotes. Please give the voice actor a bonus, and keep hiring him for this stuff!
Whoa... I have to give blizz a clap and a half for this video. I respect Khadgar far more as a character now. Turning down becoming the next guardian because nobody should have that much power, and seeing through the charade of the Dreadlord; that was amazing! I swear to god blizz if you kill khadgar off this expansion...
The legion keeps doing the same thing. They try and tempt the greatest heros with powers to save their people. In arthas' case, it worked, but khadgar had that humility and wisdom going on. Hes not just a wise character cause blizzard says so, but because he actually acts it out. I think thats cool because it gives him such depth.
This was a fantastic time to play WoW. I remember being so pumped in the weeks leading up to Legion's release. It was proof that current WoW could still be an amazing game, and that it could still offer a truly wonderful experience. As someone who had played since the release of classic WoW, the Legion expansion truly surprised me with how good it was. I couldn't believe how much fun I was having with it, especially after I had experienced the highest points of Vanilla, TBC, and WotLK. I think Legion was practically just as good as TBC and WotLK were. I already fondly look back on Suramar. It's kinda weird being nostalgic over something that can be considered recent. Legion was always going to be hard to follow up with. However I think Blizzard spent an outrageous amount of money on Legion, and then tried to produce BfA with a fraction of the amount spent on Legion. That's the only way I can explain the blatantly apparent downturn in the content. I can't comment on the most recent BfA content, However after Legion everything about BfA just felt cheap.
Seriously outstanding! The main elements are there: Khadgar is powerfull, but he recognized the temptation, and the rage that would burn inside him... making him a prime target for the Legion influence and eventually possession. Galadrien from LotRs, Gandalf, and maybe Yoda from Star Wars, all bringing a very interesting message: don't give in to hate/fury, have hope in the light!

I really love this scene 1:17. How Medivh puts his hand on Khadgar's shoulder and the way he says "You look terrible old friend. Why have you come here?" with the violin sadly playing on the background. Kinda makes me think that Medivh was a really good person. Wise with his power, caring for the world and its people. A man who understood his role and responsibilities. He could have been a great Guardian if it wasn't for Sargeras. :(
Medivh worked tirelessly for most of his life to combat the Titan Lord inside of him. He literally fought off a TITAN. That takes guts and will power. He is a good person. He fell prey to something his mother did, and had no part of it. IN Warcraft 3, he works to try and correct all the wrongs he did while possessed. He's still around; not fully alive, not fully dead.

certain Fairy Type's ability can turn any (or most) learnable Normal type moves into Fairy Type. I am not sure but, I believe there was a psychic type ability that could turn them into psychic. Kadger is a Druid/Wizard which would make him Fairy/Psychic type, and Fairy type attacks are highly effective on Ghost and Psychic types. which is why Hyper Beam was super effective.
Tons of possibilities. Anduin had a really cool comic about him. We don't know much about Sylvanas at the moment but there might be a vid on her being so close to actual death and damnation.

I was getting triggered by Medivh suggesting a new Guardian after WC3 Luckily I watched it all before commenting and the dreadlord trickery made sense.
Actually Khadgar point was invalid, I don't know if the reason is that Blizzard wanna rewrite the lore or what.. but Medivh only failed because of Sergeras spirit inside him.. but in this trailer they made him a weak spirited man who fell weak in front of his desires and that huge magus power of the Council of Tirisfal , which is not true indeed, because the previous Guardians succeeded.. and Khadgar knows that Medivh failed only due to the devil spirit that was merged with him since his birth
***** Actually they mentioned something to be with Fel power or what so ever, so therefor Blizzard might have changed what they did in the previous Medivh story.. Medivh wasn't corrupted with that power, He and Sergeras actually were one since birth.. so the power has nothing to do with that corruption

Both of them were also corrupt and not so nice. You can call Illidan a antihero if you want but his methods were very harsh Look what he did to outland to akama and his people. Khadgar wants to keep his sense of morality and honor ultimate power corrupts ultimately. So to stay good he will need to fight with allies at his side.

Med'an confirmed to be removed from cannon? To everyone trying to insist that Med'an can't be removed from cannon, that Blizzard still has plans to bring him back, I've got two words for you: times change.
This video states that 1) there has not been a guardian since Medivh and 2) there is no one left that can bestow the power of a guardian. Ergo, Med'an couldn't have been made the guardian. Doesn't necessarily mean he's been removed from cannon, but a huge chunk of his story line has been made non-canon. I'm just hoping that they take it further and erase the little mary sue all together.
according to lore writers he went with Maraad on a portal world for training before Draenor but only Maraad came back for the Draenor campaign, since then its silent around him. but yeah still part of lore
Why ride a gryphon if in the trailer he can turn into a raven? Those two events can't be that far apart. Here he already knows of the Legion coming, in the trailer he warns Stormwind about them. Also, is it coincidental that Jaina leaves Dalaran while it is above Karazhan? From her recent outlook on life, she would definitely accept to be the "Guardian" and solve all problems alone, without the Horde. All she needs is someone to tempt her. And the Legion does that from time to time. When their first target fails to fall, they go for the second best.
This video is still my favourite thing in the whole world and even 4 years on I keep periodically coming back to it. 💜 Also each year, Khadgar becomes more and more transition goals.
Imagine if that Dreadlord did a reverse UNO, and told Kadghar, something like, "You passed the test. You have shown true strength by resisting such temptations. Take this tome, it is filled with knowledge on how to stop the Legion". And still gives him the cursed book, to slowly consume him.

Since the ley line conversion source was drained of its power, no longer do lay lines run beneath the tower or are in a very weak fractured state. You cannot teleport there

Lorewise griffons are starting to struggle on a fully grown human (it's uncomfortable for them) since they are trained by dwarfs and acustomed to their weight. Over time they breed and captured stronger griffons that can also wear armor and light luggage as well as a human. So yes, they can have saddlebags :)

I just have to say this: Whoever you have doing the voice acting for Khadgar, he is the absolute best I have heard. 100% believable in every facet he expresses, with tones and emotions coming across in nuanced ways, never over-acted, always appropriate for the moment & the dialogue...even when he's cracking a grandpa joke in his in-game emotes. Please give the voice actor a bonus, and keep hiring him for this stuff!
Whoa... I have to give blizz a clap and a half for this video. I respect Khadgar far more as a character now. Turning down becoming the next guardian because nobody should have that much power, and seeing through the charade of the Dreadlord; that was amazing!

The legion keeps doing the same thing. They try and tempt the greatest heros with powers to save their people. In arthas' case, it worked, but khadgar had that humility and wisdom going on. Hes not just a wise character cause blizzard says so, but because he actually acts it out. I think thats cool because it gives him such depth.
This is the best Harbinger video by far. It gives more chills about Legion than the other two combined, as good as they are.
This was a fantastic time to play WoW. I remember being so pumped in the weeks leading up to Legion's release. It was proof that current WoW could still be an amazing game, and that it could still offer a truly wonderful experience. As someone who had played since the release of classic WoW, the Legion expansion truly surprised me with how good it was. I couldn't believe how much fun I was having with it, especially after I had experienced the highest points of Vanilla, TBC, and WotLK. I think Legion was practically just as good as TBC and WotLK were. I already fondly look back on Suramar. It's kinda weird being nostalgic over something that can be considered recent. Legion was always going to be hard to follow up with. However I think Blizzard spent an outrageous amount of money on Legion, and then tried to produce BfA with a fraction of the amount spent on Legion. That's the only way I can explain the blatantly apparent downturn in the content. I can't comment on the most recent BfA content, However after Legion everything about BfA just felt cheap.
Kharazan needs to be important once again...

The main elements are there: Khadgar is powerfull, but he recognized the temptation, and the rage that would burn inside him... making him a prime target for the Legion influence and eventually possession.
Galadrien from LotRs, Gandalf, and maybe Yoda from Star Wars, all bringing a very interesting message: don't give in to hate/fury, have hope in the light!

I really love this scene 1:17. How Medivh puts his hand on Khadgar's shoulder and the way he says "You look terrible old friend. Why have you come here?" with the violin sadly playing on the background. Kinda makes me think that Medivh was a really good person. Wise with his power, caring for the world and its people. A man who understood his role and responsibilities. He could have been a great Guardian if it wasn't for Sargeras. :(

Medivh worked tirelessly for most of his life to combat the Titan Lord inside of him. He literally fought off a TITAN. That takes guts and will power. He is a good person. He fell prey to something his mother did, and had no part of it. IN Warcraft 3, he works to try and correct all the wrongs he did while possessed. He's still around; not fully alive, not fully dead.
He is the only human who ascended to full immortality after all, he became an "eternal" being on a level of ancients and dragon aspects

certain Fairy Type's ability can turn any (or most) learnable Normal type moves into Fairy Type. I am not sure but, I believe there was a psychic type ability that could turn them into psychic.
Kadger is a Druid/Wizard which would make him Fairy/Psychic type, and Fairy type attacks are highly effective on Ghost and Psychic types. which is why Hyper Beam was super effective.
The abilities turned normal to flying or fairy. There is also one that turns everything normal.

Actually Khadgar point was invalid, I don't know if the reason is that Blizzard wanna rewrite the lore or what.. but Medivh only failed because of Sergeras spirit inside him.. but in this trailer they made him a weak spirited man who fell weak in front of his desires and that huge magus power of the Council of Tirisfal , which is not true indeed, because the previous Guardians succeeded.. and Khadgar knows that Medivh failed only due to the devil spirit that was merged with him since his birth

***** Actually they mentioned something to be with Fel power or what so ever, so therefor Blizzard might have changed what they did in the previous Medivh story.. Medivh wasn't corrupted with that power, He and Sergeras actually were one since birth.. so the power has nothing to do with that corruption

Both of them were also corrupt and not so nice. You can call Illidan a antihero if you want but his methods were very harsh Look what he did to outland to akama and his people. Khadgar wants to keep his sense of morality and honor ultimate power corrupts ultimately. So to stay good he will need to fight with allies at his side.

lol Medan exist. look it up. He is very canon and just recently, devs said Medan is busy with 'something'.
This video states that 1) there has not been a guardian since Medivh and 2) there is no one left that can bestow the power of a guardian. Ergo, Med'an couldn't have been made the guardian. Doesn't necessarily mean he's been removed from cannon, but a huge chunk of his story line has been made non-canon. I'm just hoping that they take it further and erase the little mary sue all together.
according to lore writers he went with Maraad on a portal world for training before Draenor but only Maraad came back for the Draenor campaign, since then its silent around him. but yeah still part of lore
Why ride a gryphon if in the trailer he can turn into a raven? Those two events can't be that far apart. Here he already knows of the Legion coming, in the trailer he warns Stormwind about them.
Also, is it coincidental that Jaina leaves Dalaran while it is above Karazhan? From her recent outlook on life, she would definitely accept to be the "Guardian" and solve all problems alone, without the Horde. All she needs is someone to tempt her. And the Legion does that from time to time. When their first target fails to fall, they go for the second best.
