Quasimoto aka "Lord Quas" is producer Madlib's villainous alter ego. He's wanted in 48 states and Puerto Rico.
He’s a Bad Character tbh

fun fact about the track "Fancy Clown", the track is actually rapped by "Viktor Vaughn", which is one of DOOM's countless alter-ego's. The whole track is an account of Viktor detailing a story in which DOOM steals his girl, hence bars such as "don't make me have to pound his tin crown face in" and "when u see tin head tell him to be ducking down" in reference to DOOM's metal mask of course.Really just a great, fun track where DOOM truly shows his unrivaled creativity.
That song is a masterpiece
probably my favorite off of the album
then the madlib beat has sample cuts of a conversation so if u listen closely, the girl is responding as viktor vaughn is accusing her of cheating. pure genius man
that's an awesome bit of trivia there, thank you so much for sharing!
Holy shit I loved that song already but this makes it even better

To me MF DOOM's lasting legacy more than his wordplay, bars, flow, was his ability to use his low voice not only as an addition to the instruments but somehow instrumental itself to the core of his music. All rapper's do that on some level but something was special about how DOOM put his voice into something, imbuing it with personality and dry wit through a voice that is constant.

The last track Rhinestone Cowboy is impeccable. I love how he doubted his first verse and jumps back in saying "No, no, no, enough." and spits an ever crazier verse! @Hej Kakosi LOL cool breakdown. R.I.P MF DOOM!
MF DOOM has some of the most incredible rhyme schemes and wordplay in all of hip hop. He'll have lines where every single syllable rhymes and it all flows perfectly.
e.g.
"Hack'thooing" songs lit in the booth with the best hoes
Doing bong hits on the roof in the west coast
And he does it consistently over every single song. There's not a single weak moment in DOOM's rapping
It's actually "...songs lit in the booth with the best host". During the recording of the album in the house that Madlib, Egon, PB Wolf and Jeff Jank lived in, DOOM was writing his rhymes up on the terrace/roof while Madlib was down in the basement making beats for DOOM to rap on.
Or, on figaro "Off pride tykes walk wide through scar meets, off sides like how worf rides with Starfleet.

the college dropout by kanye west is extremely sample heavy,
as is kanye’s music in general in the earlier stages of his career
getting into kanye west’s music will be an entire new journey for u inside of the one you’re already on. amazing video
All of his music is very sample heavy and throughout his career the way it's used changes too. Like early Kanye with the chipmunk vocals being a far cry to yeezus' really stripped back samples left raw and as standalone moments in songs. Nowadays with Jesus is king it's gospel sampling.
wilder cerrate kanye west is just honestly such an interesting artist to discover/learn about

China was a neat signer, trouble with the script
Digits double dipped, bubble lipped, subtle lisped midget
Borderline schizo, sorta fine tits though

Obviously not catching most of the lyrics, but he ho. The production on this album is amazing, your obviously enjoying that. Try to pick up on some of UK slang he has in his rhymes. Doom, UK's greatest rapper.
DOOM was raised in Long Island, USA. Most, if not all, his work was made in the US. DOOM is a product of America
@@that1guy246 for sure mate, but he was still a British citizen and his music is riddled with English slang which was more my point. OK Guvner 👍
@@kevykev3200 also he was denied entry back to us in late 2010 and moved to London
@@that1guy246 The dry whit and comedy side is a product of him being british as that's the hunour that derives from here. Hes british born, so hes british.
@@BillyWarHigh Exactly, you can hear the Spike Milligan influence in a lot of his music.
He put the orange square in the corner becuase of the madonna album with the orange in the album cover that made it pretty iconic so doom decided to put an orange square on the album in case it became a classic which it definitely done
The reason the orange is there is because its a comic book reference ,as well as some old vinyl album covers had a square or marker on the front album cover. Crate diggers ,get it.
