- In this new video series, I take a look at shows and movies made for kids that are supposed to be cute, but in reality they're waking nightmares. What better way to start off the new year and series with the creepiest shit I've ever seen.

I have been trying to explain these creatures from my childhood to other people for years. But I never knew what they were called or the movie title. People looked confused and utterly frightened when I tried to describe them. Mystery solved.

my headcanon theory is that aunt ruth somehow sabotaged the sale of the house, or found a legal loophole open to some shennanigans, and was just trying to get grandma out of the way so she could evict the rest of the family and steal/inherit it herself.
(or maybe she'd already paid an orderly to 'accidentally' mix up her meds or something. she 100% gives off that "let's speed the inheritance along by any means necessary" vibe.)
i mean, otherwise, why does she care so much where the old lady lives? grandma dropped one phone call, and it wasn't even for her.

I could've sworn these things were played by little people actors-in-suits. In my memory, they're just like the Garbage Pail Kid movie effect, or uh.... I guess a lot of things from the era. I'm actually pretty happy to see that they were just puppets. Still dislike them though.... it's amazing how awful everything in the world looks when it's all desaturated. You know it's supposed to be colorful (like the cartoon you showed), but it just looks depressing and old and worn-out. That makes them so much worse for some reason; these dirty, forgotten, thrown-out felt creatures... they _look_ like they smell bad. Ugh.
And they're so mysterious too; you're RIGHT, I cannot recall seeing them at all as a kid. Cabbage Patch Kids? Sure. Those f*ckin' My Buddy monsters? Unfortunately, yes to them too. But these knockoffs? It's like they glitched over from the Mandela Effect Dimension, from someplace they were actually successful. Nothing about them adds up.
So yeah, this was a *great* first entry for your new series!
There must have been a lot of disappointed kids that got one of those dolls expecting it to walk and talk and be their bestest friend. Only to realize it's like every other cabbage patch kid, teddy ruxpin, tickle me Elmo, etc. etc.
I've been trying to find films that are so vulgar they're hard for me to watch. I love gore and horror and am not easy to be like wtf. Until I stumbled upon this German 80's gem by the name of nekromantik. Holy shit!! You're f'n awesome btw. I usually find these videos unbearable but your personality and reactions are refreshing and hilarious 🖤 Oh also ya gotta checkout Kuso.
I'm so excited to see this series take off! Can't wait to get creeped out and possibly have nightmares. Also toys back then were weird, not like that has changed at all today.
1:40 I was wondering if you had ever seen that!? It changed/traumatized my childhood right up there with my parents divorce and Artex's death scene.
We had it on VHS, it was our older siblings tapes but we got them after the older ones outgrew them. (There’s a considerable age gap between us younger kids and the older ones.) Us younger kids would fast forward the satan part at first.
Speaking of Neverending story, I found out a few years ago Artex could talk in the book so…yeah, as if that death couldn’t get more upsetting.

Oh, I heard her. I just have no idea what the hell that means lol. I guess like a strong bear hug, but she shouldn’t give kids any ideas, they might see an opportunity to squeeze the life out of the demon behind the mirror and escape. 😭
