Also Chris NO one ever shows how to use Dollies for dent repair work which is so helpful great to see more of that work so grateful Chris.
South Africa - Cape Town - approves and loves your BEGINNING WITH THE END IN MIND PRINCIPLE application.
Thanks brother!
Much appreciation 😊 . I have spent many years learning the art of blending and spot panel work. Some days I feel like a master, some days I wonder if I really know what I'm doing 🤣
🤣 oh, I have those days as well.
As a senior Bodyman of 48 years I can say that this is one of the most comprehensive and accurate videos I've seen on here ..great job !!
Wow, thank you! Appreciate the comment and support brother!
@GarageNoise can't believe 7k views and I'm the first to give it a thumbs up. Great job on repairing the fender instead of just being a parts changer, filler work can be a painful experience filler on and sanding again and again but that end result makes you feel so good to know you saved it and the profits go to you in labour instead of the parts shop.
Thanks Chris, great explanation on what to do when you hit bare metal. Really helpful.
Bravo Excellent great tips on hammering dents out thanks for the video
Glad you enjoyed it
I always enjoy watching your methodic approach to straightening and massaging metal. Inspires me to go out to the garage and get working. Thanks Chris!
Nice work Chris, you do a great job explaining everything and for that I thank you 🙏🏽.
Thank you!
Looking forward to watching this Chris! Thanks, Phillip Hall
Thanks for watching!
Hi Chris, another well made tutorial with all the info you could wish for included in the video, I like the ide of using P80 to flatten the filler down a bit so you can start the blocking process which means less blocking , I always look forward to these videos from you as it makes learning a bit easier👌🙏👍John UK
Appreciate that, thanks for the support!
very informative! Thanks for showing us more on filling and blocking!!!
Great clip Chris cheers
Looks so easy. Nice job as usual!
Thank you!
ty excellent demonstration!
Love all your vids man! Can you do a short or a quick video on the best way to clean your body filler spreaders?
As always enjoyed that. Thank you
Great work Chris thanks
Very welcome
Hey Chris! Another fat 👍! Great video!
Thank you!👊
great one!
Thanks Chris!
Any time!
Thank you for your videos man
Your welcome! I appreciate the comment and!
@@GarageNoise I have a question though - if there was rust on that area, shouldn't the metal be sealed with epoxy before applying body filler?
Great video Chris. What type of filler do you recommend? I'm going to try and do my own body work. Thanks.
I would use the upol light weight gold , sand great, reasonable price here's a link.

Ty so much
Chris, was watching one of your videos. I saw you had a infared paint curing light. Looking to buy one, and wanted your thoughts on this. Always watch your videos great content. Thanks
I love mine comes in handy. I bought a vevor one don't know about the durability of it but it works great.
Nothing a set of aftermarket monster fender flares couldnt fix secured with some drywall screws lol.........just kidding. :)
I've met that guy! Lol
Great video. What sanding block setup are you using?
Thank you for the excellent video. I am working with my daughter on a 1969 VW beetle father/daughter project. We have most of it straight with the hammer and dolly but need to work filler. Ain’t nothing flat on a beetle and I am finding block sanding to be difficult.
Any tips for curved panels?
When you spray 70% alcohol do you dilute with water? Or is it just alcohol
Off the record, how would you paint a 2ton gloss and satine black motorcycle tank, and if you have ideas, let me know. Thanks.
Hello @Garage Noise is it possible to know what glue pulling system that is you are using?
Keco tools
So you use 80 grit to smooth down metal 180 for bondo to lay then 320 for primer?
80 to prep metal 80 to sand filler then 180 over filler then 320 and then primer . Primer gets sanded with 320 then 600 then paint
When you're blocking and you have a low spot with guide coat in it can you put body filler over that or do you need to sand the primer off before you put filler
Some filler is made to go over primer some is not. You definitely must sand it with at least 180. Best bet is to use a glazing putty like icing it's designed to use over primer and a 180 grit scratch. 👍
Hey brother how long did the body filler repair actually take you to do?
Roughly 4 hrs labor for bodywork
Thank you sir
Yummy, now I want to eat a cake !!
👍
👌👌👌
Nice job no blend still
We'll see, I may blend the door it's tight. I won't blend the hood tho. Thanks for stopping in!
What do you do between coats of filler to clean off excess guide coat?
