Don't ban the dude, flag his account as "Untrustworthy" and enjoy having the guy never be able to join a guild for at least a year or two. Whoever considers pulling this shit will reconsider quickly, and it's not such a severe punishment that players would object to it.
The people who are saying it was the rogues fault for accepting the duel in the last clip under false pretenses would also say Runescape lures are acceptable by that logic. Just because the player accepted something under false pretenses to their detriment, does not mean the person manipulating them isn't at fault. They shouldn't have done it, %100, but it's on that priest for knowingly and maliciously killing off that other players character, ESPECIALLY in a Hardcore setting.

If it wasn’t hardcore they would laugh it off as guild mates messing around, but since it is hardcore that is a massive breach of trust. Also it seems like a clear breach of the rules pop up you have to accept for hc wow. Personally I’m not doing any duels in hc, unless the person is an irl friend and it’s on flat land with no mobs around to avoid any accidents.

I tried to hamstring it and panicked a little bit (I also didn't drop to Def stance). I fixed my macro's now that I do turn Def stance when I equip my shield in a "panic button" and a stop attack. It's been 19 years or so since I played vanilla so I forgot a majority of things (like jumping having my side to the mob rather than my back).

Pretty sure defensive stance would count as a cooldown. I’d put two separate macros for when you already have a shield equipped so you can switch midattack without triggering a global cooldown for both defensive stance and itemswap

Then they think Classic will just be the same, that keeping aggro will be a breeze like on normal servers. 3. DPS / Healers think the same thing - "the tank can keep aggro nps - spam 1-2-3" 4. And then the tank realizes he had no clue how hard it would be, starts raging at the dps/healers. 5. DPS/Healers start to rage at the tanks. 6~~~. And now with Hardcore - well that's way more fun.

The issue with the modern world be it gaming or real life is simple: Zero consequences. We're so afraid it could happen to us, we will fight against any kind of permanent and often any temporary consequence. Well it wasn't that bad was it? Come on, everyone deserves a second chance right? We will push the line back again and again until there is no line. Rules in games are so flexible they don't really matter, and it's much the same in the real world. Oh you'll end up in prison? Really? There are two million prisoners in the US (0.6%), even if you add in those in jail, we're still well under 1%. But that's a lot right? Well for comparison there are twenty-five million millionaires in the US (7.5%). We live in a world both digitally and otherwise that has no penalties, no consequences. So me personally? I'm all for actually having some consequences, even if it's only in the digital world.
Regarding the duel that ended up in a death from the mind control, you are not suppose to be able to die from a regular duel. Only duels to the death count as perma death. So yea, that guy will most likely get banned for griefing the rogue.
I've seen quite a few WoW Andys try to criticize FFXIV for how strict they are with banning people, but the irony is that it plays a large part of why the FFXIV community is generally so much more mature then WoW's (yes there are exceptions, obviously), and by criticizing it they're really just pointing a spotlight on themselves and saying "I am the reason why it's actually a good thing!"

you dont accept a duel.... The meaning of DUEL is a combat between two persons... in WoW's case, Duel to the DEATH. Dont trust anyone. When you get asked to accept a duel in WoW, its either you or me that dies. So when you accept that duel, YOU are taking that chance of dieing.. sucks that it happened but thats what a duel is. Duel to the Death.
@@psykosis1684 No, you're describing a Mak'gora. Dueling can be friendly and for fun or practice. That's why there are 2 modes. For instance, the last clip was a 'friendly' duel that one person turned deadly without the other person's consent.

I hated Vanilla that so many lazy people were demanding summons, or asking me to get them 3 stacks of foods/waters & shit like that. 1 life you have to play real carefully, from the people you even group with. Fryden was lucky that guard rolled a 5, failed his perception check and partially tripped in the middle of his attack to go from 48 to 15 right there... That scream at the end was amazing.
I'm not sure, but they had retal up, which means they hit back when they get hit. I know the tauren was using a sword, and maybe the other warrior was also (not sure, too smol). So it's possible that they both got sword procs which give them extra attacks, and then extra attacks mean receiving extra attacks because of retal.
It seems to be just retaliate and auto attack damage. Possibly an overpower in there, but the opponent's rage doesn't noticeably drop during the burst so doesn't appear he was using heroic strike or execute there.
Maybe the retaliation loops? Like war a attacks war b and triggers war b retaliation which in turn triggers war a retaliation which triggers war b retaliation etc except the war who died hit glancing blows while the war who lived hit crits and crushing blows
I read some other comment mention that Retaliation loops unless a dodge/miss/parry occurs, and since it didnt they just basically rolled dice on who dies first to the reflecting damage.
Yeah I dunno why you'd keep attacking a warrior who has retaliation up, that's where you hunker down with auto attack off and shield block for 10 seconds, then turn your own retal on and hit him

I think the hunter that screamed "AGGRO" when the elemental aggro'd him was using an addon that automatically says if he gets aggro while in a group, and was AFK. So he didn't type the aggro, lol.

No AH. it's legitimately the most nostalgia I've ever felt playing classic. Having the AH or trading seems like cheating to me lol, but I just haven't decided on what class I want to play. I played lock for going on 15 years so if i do I'll probably roll away from a pet class or a caster.

I would say for Blizz to implement a Griefer tag, that is attached to not just the account, but the IP address that everyone can see, but I feel this would only exasperate the issue. You know... A whole wave of people wanting the tag because they want to feel special by having it. So yeah... Just ban the MF.

Accepting any duel you are not prepared to fight in is foolish and irresponsible even with it having been a "Guild mate wanting to test a macro". 🤔 Do WHAT you can WHILE you can ( my philosophy anyways ). This would include but not limited to such things as.. *Test the average Intellect of fellow guild members with new macro idea. *Find ways to kill off ( Permanently ) as many players as possible both friend and foe alike. *Build a twink as it will truly have the most impact ever now with your dead opponents never getting back up without many many more hours lvling a replacement toon. Can you feel a theme? you only get a couple months doing things like this b4 others are doing it as well, daily users decline and generalized tips and tricks vids all over youtube on what to avoid. Not to mention during the first crazy week or two the AH gets flooded with super cheap hard to get *Twink items. One problem with that person Xaryu was looking at and said should be banned, is that the person who MCd betrayed the trust of a group member and guildie. Deception can be fine… it’s part of having assholes in the game… but this kind of deception is the kind that should be punished… the person has all the reason to trust and no “good” reason to distrust. i would create a lockout for accounts as a GM. they would be capped to only uncommon gear and 1 level under max cap. as well as other things like only having a single character and only being allowed on the highest populated realm, for wait times and the most mockery possible.

about the mindcontroll clip: i believe that if players are dueling and if player gets crowd controlled without taking any damage from other player and then dies to fall damage, the crowd controlled player should get revived where the crowd controller is currently with immunity to damage and aggro until they start to do ability/move/use item and duel ends and perhaps crowd controlled player also gets some form of punishment like not be able to enter to dungeons like if they would have just left the group at start of the dungeon + slower for same amount of time, although to control this to be abused there could be a limit on amount of duels you can have within certain period of time outside of the popular duel spots. within popular duel spots its unlimited but outside you would have limit of... 2 per hour.

I ha da 37 priest healer in my grp yesterday that auto ran in to the LW trainer for undead outside UC and got clapped by an elite guard 😂🤣

you dont accept a duel.... The meaning of DUEL is a combat between two persons... in WoW's case, Duel to the DEATH. Dont trust anyone. When you get asked to accept a duel in WoW, its either you or me that dies. So when you accept that duel, YOU are taking that chance of dieing.. sucks that it happened but thats what a duel is. Duel to the Death.
@@psykosis1684 No, you're describing a Mak'gora. Dueling can be friendly and for fun or practice. That's why there are 2 modes. For instance, the last clip was a 'friendly' duel that one person turned deadly without the other person's consent.
@@zzrhardy I think this stuff are interesting. Because it's a 1 life game and you are punished for any risk you take. I hated Vanilla that so many lazy people were demanding summons, or asking me to get them 3 stacks of foods/waters & shit like that. 1 life you have to play real carefully, from the people you even group with. If this was a new game, I'd like it more the only bad thing is the dc's but even that you can mitigate some risk.

Fryden was lucky that guard rolled a 5, failed his perception check and partially tripped in the middle of his attack to go from 48 to 15 right there... That scream at the end was amazing.
The first death with the Tauren dueling to the death, can someone explain how he took such a high burst of damage?
I'm not sure, but they had retal up, which means they hit back when they get hit. I know the tauren was using a sword, and maybe the other warrior was also (not sure, too smol). So it's possible that they both got sword procs which give them extra attacks, and then extra attacks mean receiving extra attacks because of retal.
It seems to be just retaliate and auto attack damage. Possibly an overpower in there, but the opponent's rage doesn't noticeably drop during the burst so doesn't appear he was using heroic strike or execute there.
Maybe the retaliation loops? Like war a attacks war b and triggers war b retaliation which in turn triggers war a retaliation which triggers war b retaliation etc except the war who died hit glancing blows while the war who lived hit crits and crushing blows
I read some other comment mention that Retaliation loops unless a dodge/miss/parry occurs, and since it didnt they just basically rolled dice on who dies first to the reflecting damage.
Yeah I dunno why you'd keep attacking a warrior who has retaliation up, that's where you hunker down with auto attack off and shield block for 10 seconds, then turn your own retal on and hit him

I think the hunter that screamed "AGGRO" when the elemental aggro'd him was using an addon that automatically says if he gets aggro while in a group, and was AFK. So he didn't type the aggro, lol.

@@AyasLoft honestly I haven't rolled on the official servers yet but I've played HC for so long I understand and enjoy it. Ironman is my favorite. No trades. No AH. it's legitimately the most nostalgia I've ever felt playing classic. Having the AH or trading seems like cheating to me lol, but I just haven't decided on what class I want to play. I played lock for going on 15 years so if i do I'll probably roll away from a pet class or a caster.

I would say for Blizz to implement a Griefer tag, that is attached to not just the account, but the IP address that everyone can see, but I feel this would only exasperate the issue. You know... A whole wave of people wanting the tag because they want to feel special by having it. So yeah... Just ban the MF.

What happens in WHCC stays WHCC. 26m in when the unsuspecting Duel acceptor was jumped off the elevator in TB. This was fair play. It is Hardcore. Accepting any duel you are not prepared to fight in is foolish and irresponsible even with it having been a "Guild mate wanting to test a macro". 🤔 Do WHAT you can WHILE you can ( my philosophy anyways ). This would include but not limited to such things as.. *Test the average Intellect of fellow guild members with new macro idea. *Find ways to kill off ( Permanently ) as many players as possible both friend and foe alike. *Build a twink as it will truly have the most impact ever now with your dead opponents never getting back up without many many more hours lvling a replacement toon. Can you feel a theme? you only get a couple months doing things like this b4 others are doing it as well, daily users decline and generalized tips and tricks vids all over youtube on what to avoid. Not to mention during the first crazy week or two the AH gets flooded with super cheap hard to get *Twink items.

One problem with that person Xaryu was looking at and said should be banned, is that the person who MCd betrayed the trust of a group member and guildie. Deception can be fine… it’s part of having assholes in the game… but this kind of deception is the kind that should be punished… the person has all the reason to trust and no “good” reason to distrust.

i would create a lockout for accounts as a GM. they would be capped to only uncommon gear and 1 level under max cap. as well as other things like only having a single character and only being allowed on the highest populated realm, for wait times and the most mockery possible.

ToS doesn't cover trolliing. HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!! Code of Conduct, which acts in conjunction with the ToS DOES include trolling and greifing! Thus, that priest actually went against ToS through the CoC.

How many hotkeys does the average casual have? I used ALT/CTRL/SHIFT + a variety of letters, numbers and F keys because clicking is dangerous.
Also, you have played Neverwinter on Xbox console right? It's I think it's made by the old world Warcraft people because it is really close to the old. While it doesn't have flying it just has horses but man they can suck a dollar out of you
about the mindcontroll clip: i believe that if players are dueling and if player gets crowd controlled without taking any damage from other player and then dies to fall damage, the crowd controlled player should get revived where the crowd controller is currently with immunity to damage and aggro until they start to do ability/move/use item and duel ends and perhaps crowd controlled player also gets some form of punishment like not be able to enter to dungeons like if they would have just left the group at start of the dungeon + slower for same amount of time, although to control this to be abused there could be a limit on amount of duels you can have within certain period of time outside of the popular duel spots. within popular duel spots its unlimited but outside you would have limit of... 2 per hour.
