It's amazing that people are trying to parse in HC wow, they just have to get on top of that dps meter, so it can also appear on their tomb stone.
the rogue that died to the spiders was a horde using a model replacer. you can tell due to the deathlog showing notifications for horde. The priest couldn't have healed him if they wanted to
He also has Cannibalize, as well as a title that doesn't exist.

One Tipp avoid dungeons and groups
If there’s any place that seems “fine” to die in, it’s gotta be in a successful attempt to kill KTZ. Even if he died before the boss did, he was an essential part of the clear. He beat the game. It’s over.

Whenever I think the world can no longer surprise me, we get a Kungen clip where nobody dies.
1. Tank without a shield
2. Pull right before the last boss when healer and dps have no mana
3. Threaten irl violence when you die

Why is everyone mentioning the shield thing. Bro its SM you don't need to tank with a shield until like Mara. The objective sole reason why it went to shit was the priest body pull, which was likely due to being underleveled
I never understood why classes that don't naturally cleave pull more than 1 mob. You're just tanking damage the whole time while you kill 1, then kill the other.
They could be tagging mobs in a densely populated area

I still don't know how anybody dies to regular non-bullshit mobs or flash spawn, idiots somehow managed to get their character killed by fall damage out of all the stupid ways to die.... Geez, and they will be the ones for sure to hate and complain about ragnaros players

I was the Mage (Magicbaldguy) at 7:20.
We thought the Hunter pulled because the first attack on the boss was "Claw". Turns out after the tank whispered me later from looking at his vod, the Priest body pulled by getting too close. We did all of SM during that entire run too.

It looks like the priest body pulled then immediately dipped afterwards because he’s at the door as the tank is dropping target dummy.

24:00 Bro you NEVER help random people in hardcore. Only in the teens, 17 or so, but lost my hunter because I tried to help a priest in Westfall. He pulled 4 Defias guys near one of the caves. I pulled 2 off him. He leashed the other 2, so of course they aggro'd onto me. He had 80%+ hp and mana. I got netted, pet died, he came over next to me and just jumped while I ticked down to death.
NEVER help randos.

The amount of people in my guild that can’t make it past 20 and keep dying to the dumbest shit are insane, literally they’re doing the same thing over and over expecting different results
I've met countless numbers of braindead warriors and then I always wonder why its so hard to find tanks. I ran Wailing Caverns with a warrior once that charged into the trash raptors that would call for help and he would slightly edge closer to the next packs. At some areas this pulls 1 to 2 extra packs. The warrior did this twice in the same zone and we warned the warrior beforehand.
We were able to complete the zone and 30 minutes to an hour later, that same warrior died in the barrens.
Glad you made it out alive (through wailing caverns) and not died from the incompetence of someone else (the warrior).

I like how the SM clip is basically the game, "Who done it?" Maybe it was the paladin, with the level aggro, in the cathedral. Maybe it was the priest, with the attack on the boss, with no alibi. Both are prime suspects using the clip.
It was likely a resisted Mind Soothe on the boss by priest. You can see the mob running at 7:45 has the Mind Soothe animation on it, priest tried mind soothing boss and it resisted and pulled. Would also explain the details first hit tracker being "?".
Priest wiped that group hard. All the mobs aggroed to him because he hit the boss
I could immediately tell the guy at the end shouting was Croatian or Serbian due to his rage, felt even better once he switched to native and confirmed it 😂

I don't understand why people risk 100 hours of leveling against a few minutes running down to Molten Core.
Same reason people run yellow light to arrive fraction of a time earlier. Convenience and lack of willing to work.
Repetition leads to complacency.
About priests: All spells can resist with 1% (plus whatever higher level mob it is). So there is always a 1% chance to resist mind soothe. And when it happens, mob immidiately aggroes. So make sure not to mind soothe if there is a risk of dying on pull.
That is assuming you are hit capped, which you can be sure no vanilla character at low levels ever is even near off. So the actual chance of the spell being resisted is lot more than 1%.

So on the Ragnaros clip with the enh shaman. let me just copypasta rag's abilities, because its pretty self explanatory:
_WRATH OF RAGNAROS_
This is the "melee" ability of Ragnaros and serves as a tank-swap mechanic, when Ragnaros casts Wrath of Ragnaros he will send any nearby players falling dealing a small amount of fire damage and displacing them throughout his chamber. Luckily it's quite easy for melee to avoid, with modern-day timers and boss addons you can easily see when to stay in and when to run out.
For tanks this mechanic represents the main reason to bring fire resistance gear to the fight, it's possible for you to resist each wave of this ability and solo tank the boss until dead. If you don't have enough fire resistance to avoid being knocked back you will need another tank waiting by, ready to pick up the boss.
_LAVA BURST_
This is the "ranged" mechanic of the fight, Ragnaros will target a random enemy player with mana and blast them for a significant amount of fire damage. In addition, players caught in the blast radius will be displaced and because of this you have to emphasize proper positioning when setting up to pull Ragnaros.
in summation:
1. Enhancement shaman did not run out when he had to run out, tanks lost aggro due to knockback/threat wipe of "Wrath of Ragnaros".
2. Enhancement shaman was likely targeted by "Lava Burst" because he is a mana user, which is also why he is not standing in the melee cluster as he would otherwise kill them all if targeted by "Lava Burst".
its been a few years, sure, but i distinctly remember some bullshittery for enhancement shaman specifically for this fight, as i used to be that enh shaman myself, but yeah its been 3-4 years since i was last in MC so i kinda forgot how exactly the mechanics worked.
EDIT: upon review, its definitely the Lava Burst that gets the shaman here. there should be at least 1 healer in range and ready to save him and likewise the shaman should have his finger hovering over his health pot or fire res pot, ready specifically for this to happen because its basically guaranteed to happen at least once during the fight.
as you can see, Rag immediately turns back around to the tanks the second he finishes casting, because the shaman did NOT in fact overaggro.
All these deaths makes me wanna log on and level my hardcore character even more. I just started on hardcore, and I am waiting for my own first death... . its just a matter of time.

If you're running from mobs the entire goal is for them to leash. Running in circles or running into additional mobs is NOT the solution.

Priest is level 36, you can see it for two frames
It was mage pulling you can see the target of the mob
The duality of execute in classic, you attempt to execute the target, but the target has a chance to execute you too
16:00 One of the biggest mistakes a DPS can make, is overestimating a tank. They continue to DPS when their threat surpasses the tank. That is when they die. A good tank can keep the threat. Not all tanks are good tanks though, sadly. So, knowing when to pull back on the damage is key to survival in cases where the tank(s) isn't up to par. Maybe they were trying to get better gear for the tanks... who knows? But yeah... Not good tanks.

Watching these videos is so frustrating since all of the deaths are the result of really, really bad play. It's almost always the result of pulling too many mobs, being impatient, lack of communication with teammates, and/or not paying attention.
where are the hidden enemies...? come on asmon, if you saw them in plane sight they wouldn't be hidden xD

I just started HC mode a couple days ago and am loving it so far. I'm also leveling slow and carefully. Impatience is the biggest threat in HC mode
i tank in wow and can easily taunt back a mob before it even attacks. watching these is very instructive, though.

They're in purgatory. Driven by self hate and an unfulfillable desire to achieve something unachievable and never being satisfied with what they achieved so far.
Breaking through the bounds of this endless nightmare is the main reason purgatory exists. To free your soul from the shackles of your mental weaknesses.

As a casual player of retail who doesn't know, can someone tell me why he was so mad at the mage for clicking? Thanks in advance.
Clicking is objectively terrible, it's slow, people forget where stuff is in their bars and fail to do mechanics when they're trying to find spells to click. If you're just doing xmogs, pet battles etc.. it doesn't matter but if You're doing it in m+ you're a liability
After you've played the game a while, many people setup custom keybindings so they can use all their most common abilities just by using their fingers. No need to use the mouse. It speeds up your reaction time. For those who take the game more seriously (you would think this includes all hardcore players), NOT setting up those keybinds seems like a deliberate mistake.
Asmongold has likely been using custom keybinds in WoW since 2006/2007, so as soon as he sees a hardcore player mouse-clicking common life-saving abilities, he starts rooting for them to die. It is a kinda silly thing to get that mad about, though. I think he is just overacting for his audience.
Just having a few skills keybound can be a lifesaver... I play most games with a mix of keybinds and clicking.. more important than either is consistent skill placement for hotbars imo. If your interrupts are on the same spot for everything you play, even as a clicker you can get muscle memory for it.

Why would anyone think that after the release of official HC? There's still a ton of people just trying out how far they get and/or enjoying the experience without much ambition.
@@greentoby26 That's fair. The word "hardcore" in context of gaming usually implies gamers who take the game seriously. But for hardcore wow, that is often not the case.
Even so, your life expectancy definitely goes up if you have your "oh shit" abilities in easy reach of your fingers.

Why do all WoW players have to look back at the mobs? i see so many of these videos where people would have clearly escaped had they auto-ran in a single direction. They never see what they are running into, but they love to look at the mobs chasing them.

I DC'd and came back to as a ghost. I was freed early and never looked back. I can't imagine the pain of dying suddenly at 60 and its just over... All that time and commitment, just all for naught. I got off easy dying at 9th level. I didn't know it then, but my Internet saved me... like it knew... My Google fiber, consciously knew, as in AI... it said... "dude, I seen you do this already... not again... go live... live for me..."
Took him half a year to hit 60. Dies in half a minute.
You don’t need to know every single thing about the game, you need to know every single thing about the game IN THE PLACES YOU GO VENTURE. These dudes are first time exploring caves and shit like no duh you are asking for it man.
