Crimson is a really good option for this build as well. You get a ridiculous amount of radiant+crimson uptime with radiant dodge and heat seeking knives.
Definitely on controller but definitely not on mnk. Glad to have red death coming back
Can't stand crimson but I'm hoping bungie keeps the feel of red death while giving us a little extra on top to make it interesting.

If you land crits on a team mate, it will extend the timer for your strengthened knife too, giving you more time to get a OHK

You do not need a strengthened knife buff active for that second bounce. Even at base, it is very useful to clean up weak enemies
The Craftable Stasis Pulse Disparity is reeeeaaaally good with Athrys's! 4 Burst, Rapid Hit + Headseeker. Not only is capable of buffing your knife quickly but it's just a really good Pulse all round.
Interestingly both Belisarius-D and Sacred Provenance roll the same perk combo. I'd say to run an energy pulse instead for the Conditional Finality swap, but your choices there are much weaker (Veles-X is a ritual weapon with a mediocre static roll; and Insidious is decent but I'm not a fan of column 4 for that gun and also no Hakke trait). Maybe one day Right Side of Wrong will come back? Perk pool on that is kinda nice even by modern standards.
Fun fact: the throwing knife (even without athrys) has higher richochet tracking than shield throw.
As in i have not found a wall bounce where the shield will track but the knife won't. It is a little dumb.
I got hit with an Athrys’ on Meltdown. Thrown from inside, hits a wall, then bounces 90 degrees and sloooowly floats towards me. Like a quarter metre a second. I was mesmerised. Then I died. But it was beautiful to watch.
This exotic has been such an underated possible meta kit. I've played against really good players with this and you just cant hide.
Hey, Cammy, just FYI, the second bounce is there all the time, but the extra damage isn't.
Edit: I've been screwing around with this build but I have been using a second primary weapon for close range, like drang or an SMG for checkmate
When he says he has enhanced he just means the damage boost

i dont know if you have tried, but snipe shot on revision seemingly has the same hipfire accuracy as the pulse mode. It also keeps the reticle up like it is a pulse. Makes for some spicy no scopes for free.
Been maining this exotic since beyond light, jav-4 is such an excellent map to showcase on because of all the flat walls. If you’re feeling quirky, try it with a golden tricorn retraced path, it’s hilarious how quick you can melt someone
Revision zero and aim bot knife has been one of my favorite load outs for a long time and it let me get my first flawless
small correction; hitting headshots doesn't give you the second bounce, it gives you the damage perk. The second bounce is always active
Also if you haven't tried it yet, using that build with a tricorne weapon is very fun. proc knife damage off the first kill, use knife damage to get second kill, bam jurassic green 2-bursts
Arthrys would go nasty with a Swashbuckler bow for easy one-taps, especially the one from Last Wish that's solar so you can extend radiant and other subclass buffs with kills.
Do you get the one tap with a swashbucklet lightweight bow? I know its just barely enough with a precision.

@@nickgrout2502 In current sandbox you need Radiant as well for Swash LW bow. However getting a knife kill on Gunslinger will make you radiant and proc Swash, so you get the 2 for 1 special.

Unfair build for 6s is arc titan, peregrine, monte, and swash point of the stag. It is way easier to get the one shots compared to the athrys or cryo. Less involved to loop. Super addicting when it works
I just struggle to use Monte on any map
I’ve recently fallen in love with revision zero and put over 1k kills on it over four days, and the sniper mode is fun, but it’s got a nasa telescope level of zoom and I have no muscle memory for that, so I suddenly forget how to aim with it
I loved this build when these gauntlets first came out, should dust it off again
You don’t need to proc Strengthened to get the second bounce or tracking; it just gives the mega damage buff
Makes it easier to get the OHK though
@@LuminaD2it does, but you still have tremendous functionality without it and can make all sorts of plays
100%. I main these in everything PvP on my hunter and they are a god send. You can get so many picks in Trials and Comp just from weakening someone and bouncing the knife correctly as they run haha. Them getting into cover actually helps you bounce it better in some ways
@@Dannilad09how much do you actually hit the knives? Main thing it always has prevented me from trying them is the fear that I won't be hitting enough knives to make it worth it

Real quick, the buff only grants the bonus strength and bonus damage. The bonus bounce and aimbot is on always while you have them equipped

When I saw this on stream I had to farm the lost sector for these gauntlets. Took an hour or so but the got roll I wanted. Used vwing & ikelos smg and the games we're wild for me. Got a few wins in, definitely a fun build!!

Yeah it's crazy you had to get in close to get it but hunters one hit knife without having to aim. We're just lucky not all hunters are using atherys embrace.

Running monte and a swash bow with a teammate keeping up radiant buff covers most bases I think, but I don't feel that's necessary since you can usually play ranges and whip out the knife when they get too close.
It feels like a swashbuckler primary and possibly special would make for some wild plays.
I used True Vanguard's loadout which had Necrochasm and Long Walk with Athrys. It did wonders in Trials after I got fed up in duos. It also did so good in 6s too, Which caused me to get nearly 500 kills on Necrochasm.

the knife has the second aimbot bounce at base, getting precision hits just lets it one shot to the body
a friend and i do a 1v1 every now and then and he always uses athrys's embrace I've been hit by so many knifes that do a full 360 turn there funny but super annoying lol

Cam, PLEASE try this build but with a crafted retraced path running Well Rounded and Golden Tricorn. It is one of my dirtiest, most slept on crucible builds for 6s

I have a clip from a while ago where i miss 4 sniper shots in a row because im bad and when i go behind cover to morne my loss of braincells I get a knife from half way across the map to the back of my head. Sad times.

If you ever go for revision zero when you get a snipe it’s completely reliable to just no scope and aim at their head instead of struggling with the insane high zoom. I guess this is more for mnk but if try using it like a deagle from CS and always to get a kill long ranges with a HS

I never played vanilla d2 but this sounds like they think some version of that would be good for the game. Personally, i dont always think about having special when i play casual checkmate and end up spamming it at the middle/end. So it seems like it could make the game more boring bc then you will really see the meta devolving into really good primary weapons and thats it. Who ever is in charge over there loves gambling the future of the game away. Literally make some maps and call it a day.

Also don't tell people to try it with solar weapons with Golden Tricorn like Summoner (my personal relic but it will be back next month) or Jorum's Claw from Iron Banner. The bonus 50% damage you get for golden tricorn x2 from getting a knife kill while golden tricorn is active is too powerful to be mainstream 😢
But I really insist that you don't say anything about crafting a Tyranny of Heaven with enhanced swashbuckler to pair with a kinetic primary. I don't know what I'd do if people found out that you could use your kinetic to prime the knife buff then switch to the bow and get the knife kill to have a few seconds of one shot kills with the lightweight bow with swashbuckler + radiant that you can keep up as long as you chain kills since kills refresh swashbuckler and there's a solar fragment that refreshes radiant on solar kills 😭

Does trinity ghoul proc it after one shot? It counts as three separate hits so theoretically if you hit the head you can instantly proc it. I haven’t tried it tho.
It works this way on Cascade Point, so don't see why not.
Do you need to hit less rounds on revision zero when your using 2 round burst to get the sniper mode?
It’s 12 precision hits regardless of the firing mode
