    Watch a full tutorial as a 2020 Toyota Corolla will have an amplifier and subwoofer installed. We will be installing our amplifier under the driver side front seat and integrated to the factory audio sound system.
    NOTE: Our corolla was not equipped with the upgraded JBL amplified audio system. IF you have JBL, you will need to tap into the JBL amp with the harness linked in the description below for your audio signal.
    This video applies to Toyota Corolla models for years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and newer. NOTE: this process can be done for corollas with the earlier generation (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019) however the dash design is different when installing your line out converter to the factory audio system. This video also includes kick panel removal, complete installation for the powered subwoofer / amp, wiring, and testing!

    Thank you for this, hard to find any wiring schematics. I just installed this exact set up almost, and the speaker wires are the same, on my 2022 Corolla SE, behind the head unit(radio). Getting the power wire through the firewall is by far the hardest part. I tried going through the passenger but it was too tight and I did not want to remove the windshield wiper and cowel. I removed the battery and had a bit more access to the grommet back there. After some cut up hands everything is installed almost exactly like how you did it. Last thing I need is an AUX cord to connect my base knob but other than that I’m set! Finally, so stoked. Much appreciate you taking the time to film this.

    Question: I have the 2020 Corolla XSE with the dreadful JBL so-called upgraded audio package. Can I tap my Wavtech Link DQ LOC from the JBL factory subwoofer leads to gain the lower frequency hertz??? I have played 40 and 50 HZ test tones and metered the voltage and get nothing. I only get voltage when I play midrange frequencies around 200-300 HZ. Thoughts? I hear the factory sub is DVC so I assume I would connect both positives together to the pos lead of the LOC and the same for the negative. I am running a mono 1200 watt rms Pioneer amp at 1 ohm (stable) to only power a 1200 watt rms American Bass subwoofer.

    Hi Chris! Great videos, like always!
    I'm trying to connect an Alpine KTP445A amp to my Corolla Sedan (2023), The speakers are already connected with an individual harness for the speakers with the 445A harness, was the only thing I finded until I see your video...
    The doubt that I have, is if I have to buy PAC LPHTY02 to complete my installation or if I can connect the power cords individually of the other plug an can work correctly.
    I supposed that direct 12v, ground and key ignition 12v are basical, but the telephone wire, remote one or other are compulsory to work. Or being connected to the main unit, they are doing their function yet.
    The thing is that, where I can found a diagram of factory plug for knowing which wire are every one. Cause 12v and ground I have located with your video, but in my car are different colors...

    Was wondering if there's a more ghetto alternative for me.
    Will be a Corolla 2.0L Hybrid Sport Touring, with the battery and a power socket (lighter-type, IIRC) in the trunk. So, have a powered subwoofer, nothing too fancy or demanding, that I can plug in and out, and with a Blutooth receiver for the signal), with some app. Plus tere are some interesting storage compartments in the Touring that could be useful to tuck away some stuff.
    Subwoofers don't need high-fidelity signals, just anything below 100hz, which is pretty easy going for a wireless transmitter. With Android Auto, might even write an app myself.
    First, I'll probably upgrade the speakers, and work on a bit of sound insulation, something I already did in a old Almera. Will see how it sounds first.

    Will this work for a ‘20 Corolla hybrid?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Год назад

      Hybrids are tricky in that they don't have a traditional alternator, and instead High to low voltage reducer / regulator to charge the 12v battery from the high voltage hybrid battery. Most converters by toyota are 30 amp output, so this "may" work, but may be too much for your hybrid's electrical system to support. You can still add a sub, but consider something a bit more conservative (20 amps max).

      Is there a way to do this just by getting the signal through the back speakers? and can a 0 gauge wire fit through the firewall?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Год назад

      @@AV_Cinema If you have the JBL amplifier, generally this gen Corolla has the 9 speaker system, and a factory sub in the rear deck of the car. You can tap into those leads at the factory sub for signal to your new amplifier.

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Год назад

      @@gtech039 Zero gauge should still fit, but will be very tight getting through the firewall. You may need to drill instead. As for signal to tap into, with the JBL amplifier, you will need to tap into the factory sub located in the rear deck, or at the factory amp under the seat.
