I love that the cards even include the urticating hair type! I feel like quite a few people don't know there are different types and it's something really cool to learn about
I think the cards overall are such a great idea!

Only thing missing are battle attributes. How will I know if B. hamorii can take on G. rosea? I hope these cards get out there to pet stores someday, especially the big chains like Petco/PetSmart, where employees are often somewhat less than knowledge, vs. sole reptile/invert shops.
Species info is something I feel needs more light shed on it. So many folk see our amazing animals and just want them without a second thought to the animals needs.
You can tell you put a lot of work into his product and idea I hope it works out well for him and these become popular

Wow. A Kickstarter project that actually delivered. Not only that, but shipped a very professional-looking product. Wonders still happen.
(I've been burned by too many Kickstarters, so I don't even visit the page anymore.)
An impressive amount of sourcing went into this. From what I can see, Danny had to find companies that could produce:
o The Keeper Card outer box, complete with printing and "web" sticker.
o Green pouch bag with black web highlights and fishnet outer layer (we used to call them dice bags in reference to Dungeons & Dragons).
o Translucent plastic keeper box with snap-close feature.
o The cards themselves and associated hardcopy, including decals with adhesive.
That's a lot of doodads for just £15 (around $20). Very, very impressive.

Along with the several new T's I will be getting her for Christmas, these seem like the perfect gift for the "Little Keeper" :) Fun little aside ... Your biggest little fan, will be giving a presentation to the Zoology class at the school I work at. She will be bringing in several of her favorite T's and answering questions for the HS Students :)

I love love love the non mocha color on u!! It makes u glow vs. Wash ur tone out. Just my opinion but I think u should try more of THAT shade!!

This is a really sweet idea. Each T should come with such cards attached to the box. I know I would pay a bit for my Ts more to get them.

These are so cool!! I just sent in my pledge🤘🏼. I’ve been wanting to create a similar thing to have up at The Tye-Dyed Iguana, but just didn’t have all the tools (I’m just now getting into digital art). I really hope he reaches his goal, because I too would love to see more cards added!!

I wanted one for my dad, too. Now you can order 2 without paying shipping twice. SUCH a good idea, I've tried to make up little symbols on my labels to remind myself of humidity requirements and stuff, but flash cards would be a lot better

I have five tarantulas, my wife still does not know they are at our home, and she has spider and insect phobia :) I think if she sees you messing with spiders it will calm her down a little :P

I don't think "Type I-Type III" urticating hairs refers to severity. I would assume it has to do with type of urticating hairs. You know, how like avicularia only have type II urticating hairs so they have to directly transfer them with contact (rubbing them directly onto something) vs. type I urticating hairs where they can be kicked into the air? Maybe I'm wrong because I don't know what type III means, but that's what I'd assume when I see that.
Those cards look like a great resource for new keepers and a fun thing for keepers of all levels. Great video, Kat.
Got to admit that the cards are well done. But being the miser that I am, I will probably continue to get my info from google and RUclips. Heck, the T Collective seems determined to do a care video on every known species. One could argue about some of the life span info. The T Keepers Guide says B Hamorii females can live up to 40 years. That's double what the card said. It was still a smart idea for a video and I enjoyed it. I will be getting a GBB sling in on Thursday, so that can be scratched from my must have list. Until next time!

On the card at 4:03 are several mistakes and inaccuracies. 1. tarantulas don't have an epigynum, only "modern" spiders (Entelegynae) have! 2. They don't have a cribellum, only "Cribellatae" have (which is not a taxonomic group). 3. I know especially in the US most people don't care and it's almost completely accepted, but the body parts in spiders are not really called like that. The names for different arthropods are: Insects: cephalon, thorax, abdomen, Crustaceans: cephalothorax, abdomen, Spiders: prosoma, opisthosoma. I know, I'm pedantic in this case, but those parts have a different evolutionary history and are not the same things, even though lots of people use the names as synonyms. At 5:17 Aphonopelma "seemani" has a typo, it is seemanni and F. O. Pickard-Camebridge, 1897 has to be in brackets, as this is not its original name. The cards are a nice idea but they need some work to remove the mistakes.

I would say it's more like top trump cards over pokemon cards, I saw Tarantula Dan's unboxing of these cards the other day and they look pretty interesting, now if only I wasn't too broke to afford a pack.

Hey kat quick question I've got like 80 tarantulas but they are all terrestrial I've had a lot of arboreal but I can never keep them alive I've gone online to see on how much moisture food lights for each species but they still keep dying any idea how I can stop them from dieing
I'm watching this after the end of the campaign and I'm somewhat sad I couldn't pledge the 50 to get everything and the shirt lmao. Their websites up though so that works out!

I have a juv Lasiodora parahybana female that is happy eating 2-3 crickets a day just wondering if its actually okay todo this or if there is a risk doing this?
i would only feed a few large prey every wk or 2. feeding them too much is called "power feeding" and actually makes them mature faster/ live less long
