Glad you got to put it in your hands! For me I just want it to be 1/8" longer in the handle for slightly better purchase. I'm not normally a lanyard person, but I've considered it for the Yonder. It would have been cool if Zac had included a split barrel for that. Agree with where you ended up ranking it. I like it, think it's practical, and have nothing but admiration for the designer. But at the same time, there have been so many great models released this year. At least 5 of them fit my hands better and/or have a design that speaks more to me. Still great and it will stay in my collection for sure. Happy Thanksgiving JB and everyone! Stay safe over the holidays and #DSKFS
This is a beautiful knife I love the wooden scales and the Damascus blade and a reversible pocket clip winner winner chicken dinner thanks for sharing JB
I think that is a nicely designed knife. I have had good experience with Civivi knives EXCEPT that good looking unpronounceable wood they use. In my experience that wood is very chippy especially around the cutouts and screw holes. FOR ME, if I was to get one, I would get whatever was offered that wasn't that wood. But that's just me. THANKS for this look and review JB! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
I don't see it, it's a handy size and blade shape and this particular example is very nice looking. But if this in is the knife of the year conversation it's a off year. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Nellie.
That damascus is beautiful. I'd have liked to see a CF handle scale with that instead of wood. Too bad it's got such a tiny handle though. My big arse hands would bury that thing. Maybe they'll make a bigger one like they did with the Elementum
The fact that he is caling it a spey blade not a reverse tanto is making that knife knife of the year. And Zach is great guy.....i know only two Zach - s and they are both great.
It's a pretty cool knife. The way Civivi does their Damascus now is the best looking on the market by far. (Besides custom makers obv) I feel like part of winning those awards is a popularity contest. I say that as someone who thinks Zac and Ben and them are cool as hell, but I don't know about "best buy of the year"... 😂🤷 Hey happy Thanksgiving Big Red, I'm thankful for your content! 🍻🙌
I regret buying this knife this week. It is good looking, well made, but it is just too small for me. Deploying the blade is not bad as the action is smooth, but using the crossbar to unlock the blade is just difficult - I can't find an easy way to stabilize the handle in my hand so that I can pull down on the crossbar. I can palm a basketball, so my hand is pretty long (not beefy) so maybe this difficulty is just for those with big hands. I think the Kizer Assissin (2.99" blade) with a button lock would be better for me as one just needs to depress the button to unlock the blade. I have the larger Civivi Baklash with a liner lock, and I have no problems with deploying and unlocking its blade.
Well, its shot in 1080 so if you are watching it in a lower resolution you can always change it by clicking on the little gear icon and change it to a higher resolution. The more you know!
Not a fan of civivi’s button/axis locks. They feel slow and clunky ( compared to others) and the sound is very off putting to me. And that Damascus 🤢lol if it wasn’t designed by Zack nobody would be taking about it .
Check out the Civivi Yonder: amzn.to/3V3JL7g
Happy Thanksgiving JB! Glad to see this design and execution by Civivivivivivivivvivivivi

Happy Thanksgiving Bob!
Hello it is beautiful thank you
Thank you very much!
I think it’s a beautiful knife, but I would have trouble saying that it’s the knife of the year
Me too Adam!
Yupp, I’ll need to pick one of these up… definitely is not a spey blade! Like Larry, the Cable Guy says, “I don’t care who you are!!!”
LOL....thanks Rory!
It's for someone just not me sir happy thanksgiving sir
Happy Thanksgiving
Another interesting knife
Thank you Kevin!

Looks tame
Nice knife!
Just fyi, the video quality is severely lacking..
