I certainly feel like we're a fringe top five team. there are still some questions obviously in the front Court. even if that doesn't come to fruition as a unit, we're easily a top 10 team. if however, the front Court is a success. this year has a unit not individually which is easily feasible with the likes of Jalen Washington, who once was a five-star prospect before his HS injuries, add to him a very athletic fifth year Jaylen withers, a high motor skilled athletic zaden high in which people have been raving about his ability and VA Lubin which when he was healthy was one of the best bigs in the SEC at the end of last season and even when not healthy started. I think these guys are easily capable of being a successful unit and let's face it. they don't have to do all that much with what's possibly the best back court in the country and highly capable wing players and Drake Powell and one of the best shooters in the country Cade Tyson. this undoubtedly will be a much more athletic Carolina team. they will play fast and again if the front court comes together. this is easily a top five team in the country
Flagg not going to be a 1st team all American . He will have a good season . He is not a 20pt a game player more like 15pts, 7 rebounds and 4 blks. He a reclassify freshmen that 17 years old 1st 2 months of the season. He won’t out up Zion numbers.
@@JohnCramer-yz2rn certain metrics like vertical jump but overall Flagg has really good hand to eye coordination, that gets the node over 17 yr old MJ, Flaggs 3 point looks better too, sorry MJ is my favorite player, but UNC fans we,ll have to adjust to this he'll be in the running for national POY
I don't think you realize how good this team can and will be. Elliots 3 point shot will improve enough for defenses to not be able to back off of him. We are gonna see a HUGE sophomore jump for him. Cade Tyson is gonna be a really good addition for us and he will open the floor up for all of our guards to do whatever the hell they want to. Ian Jackson is the real deal along with Drake Powell. We have depth and plenty of experience. Have confidence! The front court just needs to do enough they don't have to be great. No one in the country can compete with our backcourt and I really believe that. I forgot to mention.... WE HAVE RJ BACK!!!!!! 😂
@@astafford9410 I agree with everything you said. But rebounding and our bigs are my biggest concern and I think that is a big enough concern to say we are not a top 5 team right now. I need to see it against physical competition to change my mind.
That's fair and in the back of my mind I'm thinking will we have enough rebounding lol. I think lubin is gonna be able to rebound enough. I also really think Zayden High is going to be better than people think. If Jalen Washington can just give us 10 points and about eight rebounds a game we should be fine. I really think with RJ putting the ball in the basket and I think Cade Tyson is going to be special. Dude can shoot the three and drive. His ability to get to the basket is really underrated. I think this will be a better 3-point shooting team. He can shoot the ball so much better than Cormac
@@myrongoodman5261as UNC fan , we are definitely a top 10. We can win without a dominant big man. 2021 baylor team bigs were 6-8 and 6-5, there perimeter players lead them to the chip. Look at Houston last few years , last year they didn’t have anyone over 6-7.
The guard play for UNC will be insane this season. If Washington and Lubin are able to give us anything at all down low we will be nearly unstoppable!

UNC def will be a solid team I personally got em round #10 pre season. UNC backcourt is gonna be a problem, Ian Jack and Drake are gonna show out
I feel like the only reason HD was looking for a big is because hes worried about the durability of J. Wash. Not his ability.

I think he will average 14 ppg 6 boards 2 blocks 3 ast per game not a big time scorer

@@astafford9410 we play physical like Houston we can make up for not have a 6-11 big. Houston got no bigs over 6-7 and 6-8.
