A great way to learn with the efile (pressure wise) is to apply several layers of different coloured gel polish and practice taking off only one layer at a time. It’s really best to take a course, but I get that it costs a lot and some people are just nail enthusiasts and don’t want to be a licensed tech. Watch Young Nails videos too. They explain the efile speeds and bits, which is really important to know. Xx

There were very few dedicated gel techs doing videos, and even fewer videos using gel products in the traditional application method of applying it on top instead of the "lazy girl method". I learned sooooo much from her! I wish I could remember how many subscribers she had when I first started watching her....but I wanna say it was like 3 or 4K. Now she has 35K subscribers and her own gel line! It's so inspiring to see that!

@@Elevatedbeautybar6 The only other channel I've watched for gel is Young Nails.....I knew about them before finding Lissette. But they also do acrylic so it was hit or miss to find a gel video. I've used many different gels and I can honestly say Lissette's is the best multi purpose product. It's thick enough to sculpt with on forms and tips and can be warmed or moved around enough to make it thin enough to encapsulate with. With other gels I typically have to use several different viscosities for each different step. Her gel is perfect for a beginner and someone more experienced. I absolutely love it!

I also find it relaxing to watch. Thanks also for putting thought into the music as well. I don’t know if you have to pay for the good music but it’s worth it for your brand if you are. I have that issue too with my nail lifting away from the tip underneath. And I couldn't figure out why, it's so annoying. It's probably the glue!! I'm going to try base gel!

I’m new to doing my own nails. I have watched thousands of videos. I have a question. Some say that if your polish isn’t translucent or clear it will not cure. Is the gel you used to polish your nails translucent? Your nails look really good!

honestly I don’t own a lot of polygel to compare nor do I really do polygel. not really my thing so I can’t give an answer. but there are may my other youtubers who do polygel that may be able to answer your question.
I have a question about adhering the tips: I noticed you did not file under the tips before adhearing them to the nail with gel. Will the gel base adhere to the smooth surface under the tip without lifting? I love your videos and I appreciate you sharing your techniques for other lefties ❤️
Yes that's what happened to me. I was getting lifting because I cured it when it was on my skin a little bit and my nail would lift. Even if it just a very little bit on my skin

Try getting a coffee cup warming coaster. You can get it in Amazon. You can just set your pot of gel on it to warm it up and make it looser. I would bet Lissette has one in her Amazon storefront!

You glue your tip with rubber base gel. Q: OK so do you prep the tip first before applying the rubber base gel to the nail tip and attaching it to the free edge of your finger nail?? Q: Will this rubber base glue work with any nail tips or just gel tips?? I understand what you’re saying about lifting or separating from underneath the nail tip. I have This separation issue also and it’s annoying and I tend to pick at the nail!

How do you keep from getting a heat spike when curing? Every time I do hard gel it burns so bad. I try to apply thin layers or cure a little at a time but it still burns. Help! ❤️❤️
@@art_see_shan1849 oh!! my nails were overfilled! I have since learned how to properly prep my nails but I have been too scared to try builder gel again because of the heat spikes. thank you for that I'll give it another go.
@@tatyoh7 You can also start by holding your hand outside of the lamp so that the light still hits the nail, but it's not directly under it. Cure it for 30 seconds outside of the lamp, and then do a full cure under the lamp. This will help you a lot if you're super sensitive to heat spikes.
@@tatyoh7 You're welcome! It works really well for those who are sensitive to heat spikes. It will still flash cure the gel but much slower, and you don't have to keep taking your hands in and out of the lamp. Hope it helps you!
no, Rubber base is basically the bond for the hard gel. it helps with no lifting longer lasting nails its call rubber because its more flexible and also helps protect brittle weak nails.

no love I don't. I honestly never had a problem with just going straight it with top coat so I never really thought about needing to do it.

You may have thinned out your natural nail
Try curing for 2sec take out then gradually cure full 30-60 sec

@@tatyoh7 You're welcome! It works really well for those who are sensitive to heat spikes. It will still flash cure the gel but much slower, and you don't have to keep taking your hands in and out of the lamp. Hope it helps you!

The rubber base is used in case you plan on taking the set off pretty soon, right?
no, Rubber base is basically the bond for the hard gel. it helps with no lifting longer lasting nails its call rubber because its more flexible and also helps protect brittle weak nails.
but it can be easier to take off. all you can do is file off the hard gel and soak the base Gel off if you wish. hope this helps.
