I had to stop watching femi. I was with her in the beginning but multiple nail techs told her she did not invent the lazy girl method. Many underground techs have done this for over a decade to save time on our own nails when nail gel made a big boom in the mid to late 2000s. Then we noticed the replies we made telling her this disappeared and she doubled down on saying she coined/invented this method. Ironically I even remember seeing comments of some folks recommending using gel under her tips when she was saying her hands were getting dry from uv lamps. I hate being silenced. And I hate how she's getting credit for something she didn't do. Its the aquarium nail thing all over again.

This set is so beautiful! I'm considering trying this method cuz it takes me so long do do my nails too. But I'm strictly gel. I haven't tried my hand at acrylic yet. But I'm really really considering on going back to school for nails and cosmetology in general as well. I love following all these nails journeys! 😍

Hi. I recently completed a cosmetology program. Full transparency, cosmetology programs are focused mainly on hair although you are qualified to do nails, hair and skin treatments.. The school I went to did 2 days of acrylic and it wasn’t taught by an instructor. But by a licensed nail tech who happen to be taking the cosmetology program at the time. I mentioned this just to give you heads up. When you go searching for a school ask to see the kit for the subject you are interested in. If it’s small or look dated, you probably won’t get thorough instruction.
I've trained to do gel and acrylic and by a mile, gel is the easiest method x

I know this video is a year old! But I needed to watch the femi method with the encapsulating of flowers and stuff. I’m wanting to do a steampunk set, I can’t decide if I want to do the background in flowers then the metal gears and stuff…or in something else. Which I have not come up with the something else. I have been collecting the charms and everything I’ll need. I want them to be stilettos.
Anyway, this design here is very pretty! I love the flowers the gold flakes everything was done perfect! Of course. 😊😅
