2 Match-Ending BJJ Chokes From Turtle (Even If The Chin is Tucked)

- Would you like a couple of extra submissions from the Turtle position? Cool, well that's what I break down in this BJJ technique video. In the video I show 2 chokes that can be done from the Turtle position in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
This question comes from our friend Pauline who trains BJJ up in Canada and is wanting to get a couple of extra attacks from the position.
In this video I show two of my favorite "go to" chokes from Turtle. The 1st is a basic rear naked choke style submission.
I'll do this one anytime I see or feel the chin raise up away from the chest.
If the chin doesn't raise up much then I move to the other submission option which is a Guillotine Choke. This submission can be used for the submission itself or it will cause the person to roll away to avoid it.

@chewjitsu I ended up on top of my partner with hooks in who was in a locked down turtle position and his hands criss crossed under his chin. I had that position for 2 minutes and couldn't get anything. Very frustrating! Can you make a video on breaking through a really tight turtle defense?
Wow, what is this black magic you are speaking of when showing the rear naked choke from a side position. Can you also do a video on how to apply a rear naked choke from an unusual position? I always assumed back mount was the only position and I recently added the turtle variation (that is how I found your video) but from the side position is totally new for me. Great video!

I just started about a month ago and I found my go to sub to be a leg lock I'm not to sure what it's called to be honest but I always find myself in that position and I've tapped out some of the higher white belts that have been training for about a year with it
Bro same! I do the straight ankle lock and I even got a blue belt (Probably got it because they always rek me and he takes it at a decent temp so he wasn't expecting it
@@genises200 don't get me wrong I'm a big enough 14 year old 5'9 (my legs arnt that long ahaha) 75 kg but I train with mainly adults and they don't take it easy which I like because I don't feel like I'm great when I'm not if you get what I mean. I like to have a challenge rather than just being let away with it . So because I'm smaller triangles and things like that don't work to well so any ankle locks or kimuras i seem to get pretty easy
