I’m am glad the trend is here! I’ve used the envelope system since I was a kid, but now having smaller envelopes and wallets and labels really makes things flow better for me.
I’ve been doing this FOR LITERALLY YEARS! I learned it in a finance class back in 2006. I have NEVER run out of money using this system. It has also been a life saver. Rarely, 🎉when I have a large expense, ie a very big auto repair. I can dip into another envelope that has an excess of money and use it to pay the balance I didn’t have in my auto repairs envelope, saving me from having to pull money from my bank. From one who never had enough money to last, to AWAYS having money left over! What an amazing feeling!
I get the “envelope” system but it seems like there’s a new video daily with specialized boxes and stickers for all this “cash stuffing”. Seems like a huge waste of money to me. Spend $1-$2 at your local Dollar store and do the same thing, without the specialty items.
Cash stuffing isn't just for spending though, it's for everything. Rent, gas, internet all of it. Sure you still pay via automatic drafts etc. But when you cash stuff you can budget weekly or biweekly for monthly expenses. Also cash stuffing focuses on savi g foe future spending via sinking funds AND saving via saving challenges. It's way more intense then just using an envelope system and way more fun imo.
@@theinevitableend9412you save up until you are one month ahead. Then if you are paid weekly or biweekly you stuff as you r paid. Along w saving challenges you can start making more progress faster. Some even pay everything w their creditcards to build their credit and then later deposit the content from that category towards the credit card payments and ofc what they can separately to a high yield savings account.
This is the ONLY WAY we can ever stay within our budget. We’ve tried multiple ways- it doesn’t ever work for us. It may work for other people- not us! Oh well 🤷🏻♀️
Didnt Dave ramsey and Rachel Cruze teach this before the cash stuffing community was a thing? I agree with you that we have taken it in different directions and there are many ways to do it even within that community actually, but can we really argue with the older generations who literally put cash aside in an envelope? That's what she is referring to, as Dave has taught it since the 90s.
I know this is an old comment but it can be done digitally. You can have more than one account at a bank and rename them. That way it can gain interest. I even hid one account from my dashboard to auto draft $15 every payday. I actually forgot about it 😂! I looked at everything at tax time and saw it had $525 in it. I left it alone but increased the amount to $20. I still have physical envelopes at home for smaller frequently used categories.
I keep a budgeted amount of money in our bank account just for that. If it’s something I want, and already have spent $$- it waits til I get paid again 🥰
U can categorize your spending in your budget If u Prefer not to use cash. I use both cash and digital budgeting. If I spend money from my bank account I replace it by putting the cash I have back in the account
Guys you better keep doing this because banks want to control over your money and how much you spend. Cashless society is trying to make its way through. Stand and say no. Boycott businesses who refuse cash - because really you can’t since cash IS a legal tender. Otherwise next thing they’re going to do is put a chip in your hand or on your forehead and control and track every single transaction and purchase. Cash is king!
Ya that’s the one thing I do disagree with when it comes to Ramsey. I use a credit card for internet and other things that don’t charge a transaction fee so I get cash back and pay it off every week.

Don't compare. Be glad you are doing something. I haven't started sooo. Competition should always be you against you 💯 🙌
@@savatiaharmonies your sweet. Thank you. But I was making a joke 😂
Keep doing it, you'll just keep getting ahead and eventually you'll be stuffing Bennys too 😊

How do you use the envelope system to pay for rent and utilities if it’s drafted from a bank account

I needed this reminder 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I loooovveee the blush wallet but I really wish there were just a couple more “envelope” sections!
How many sections does your beautiful wallet have?
Just don't lose the wallet

It would be really lovely if this wallet would be readily available to Australia as well.
I know there would be many people interested.
Does the wallet have labels?
This is NOT how the Cash Stuffing community does cash stuffing. Please follow someone that’s doing this every single day as a way of life.

Better keep it hidden and don't let anyone know you have it.
What about for people that uses credit card most of the time?

Except when you have thieves around you that steal your cash out of your wallet.
Link for the wallet pls???

Cash is so outdated, plus 'stuffing' and envelopes etc etc is time consuming, long winded and misses out on free money...interest from the bank!

Who uses cash any more?
Me...... I still use cash at some places
People who want to limit their spending and not be tempted by credit cards which leads to over spending.
@@captivated388 I'm not limiting my spending I'm just using only what I need to pay certain bills when I just choose to use cash
There are lots of people who still use cash. Credit cards are getting too many people in debt.
Nice but your probably single no kid I have 5
