- Let's be honest, Village, today was chaotic but we got there! The Mamas get into all things marriage & partnership. Fee, Codie, Melanie, and Ashley discuss how to move through challenges with your partner, which relationships they look to for inspiration, and what it means to choose your partner. While they all have different relationships and perspectives, they're all in agreement that in every marriage - you have to just do you!
So Village, how do you face challenges in your marriage? Are there certain relationships you look up to? Get in on the conversation and let us know over at podcasts@blacklove.com. PLUS you can always submit a DM over @themamasdenpodcast
Make sure you connect with our Mamas

Thanks for always being so transparent and just sharing your raw thoughts! I love that about you 💕
I can really really respect the different viewpoints at the table, I can relate more to the woman in braids...THE ONE THING that I am afraid of with marriage is the level of commitment...I don't want to fight so hard to be with someone and make our relationship work...I am the type of person that if it's not working then we have to just walk away...and when you're LEGALLY MARRIED it's not that easy to walk away...I don't know if I want that level of commitment...bcuz then I feel like I'm FORCED to be with him...if that makes sense
This hit home😢 thank you for the podcast
Thanks ladies, thoroughly enjoyed!
Marriage isn’t an achievement insofar as you figure things out and then you’re coasting. That’s not the nature of love or marriage. Marriage and love are a journey and with that comes unforeseeable problems but love fuels you to work through it.
John Gottman says most of the problems in a marriage are unresolvable because they are problems of personality quirks of the partner. It’s about how you handle and respond to these issues.
Love this show but I wish it was on TV
Love this conversation🤍
I like y’all a lot!!
Read the work of John Gottman, Eli Finkel , Sue Johnson and Esther Perel. Anecdotal evidence is unreliable and often the sample size is too small. We know more about love and what makes a healthy marriage than ever before.
