Very unfortunate.

It is all just entertainment and it has no meaning.
Real athletes do not take drugs.
What’s impressive is that he looks like a bodybuilder, but has world class powerlifting strength.
He looks less like one once he gets above 280, but he's still a lot leaner than those powerlifters. They don't care about being lean at all. I know Larry has gotten to 300 before, and he didn't like it because he wasn't as lean and didn't feel as good at 315. Keep in mind he's not as lean even at 275, so it's not like he's competition ready doing these lifts, he still has the advantage of eating a lot. As long as they're similar weight it's not a disadvantage to be leaner. If you're very lean it is, but Larry is not very lean like a bodybuilder in these, just leaner than the guys he's competing against.
thats what got him famous
@@billj4525 I crazy that he looks small for a bodybuilder at 275, I sure that why he opted to compete in the classic division. I sure he will do much better next time, especially since his next prep will be longer than 6 weeks.
Because he came up as a powerlifter and then he jumped ships into bodybuilding specialized training. Any powerlifter/bodybuilder can do it if they periodized their training to cover both over time

Not when your 400+ bw🤣
I can put 425 up rn at 210lb body weight natural. If I Jump on a first cycle it would probably go up to 475-500. And then a second and third cycle get it to 550. So I can only imagine these guys at 300+lb on all the gear can push weights like that
@@bigzachfulI’m natty myself but gear doesn’t work like that 😂😂 some are just strong and the juice gives them more power and then there’s those who juice and barely hit 315 for one at 180 body weight.

You could argue that Andrew Hause's squat (too high) & deadlift (didn't properly hold it) shouldn't have gotten 2 white lights, not sure about the bench but I've seen judges not accept a tilt like that.
exactly my thoughts
His bench was ropey and questionable and the deadlift had no right to be allowed. Nearly pulled him over and dropped it.
I was wondering why most of the squats were done by walking out of the rack/monolift. And his lift was done without walking out.
Squat didn't break par, DL slipped out of his hand. Neither should have counted that day.
@@RJB_TV his squat was fine

LARRY WHEELS PERSONAL RECORDS IN GYM IS:
SQUAT 410KG
BENCH 307KG
DEADLI 425KG
Gym lift doesnt matter. All those lifts wouldn't count in competition either. He lacks squat depth, Bench was touch and go and his deadlift is straps and a hitch.

We need Larry back in powerlifting
Sumo deadlifts and conventional deadlifts should not be categorized in the same lift. Even though Jamal smashed that, they're entirely two different lifts.
also he used a bendy ass bar
There is a reason it is valid to choose your style. A good sumo lifter will never pull conventional the same amount nor will a good conventional lifter pull the same weight on sumo. The conventional records are pretty similar too the sumo ones (in fact a little higher). It depends on your body type. Eddie Hall said he could never in his life pull 500 KG sumo for example. If your body type is best for conventional, you won't pull sumo that much.
Long story short: sumo totally fine in comp.
@@PhilippHectorlong story short, sumo is for betas
@@drock213lol idk why this is so funny
@@drock213 if you say so. I pull conventional because of my pretty long arms. If I had short arms, I would pull sumo.

@@kurtwuttke5787 ofcourse! But I haven't seen the others tried it with with suit and straps for multiple reps yet.

That 855 lift at 5:32 was ridiculous. You make it look too easy. Time to reclaim those records!

Jeez I thought he died for a second 😅
6:43 bro the last deadlift should be 3 red lights
Depends if he got the down command. His hand ripped open but he had the strength obviously
yep ... larry got penalized for the same thing in his attempts I remember the bar coming out of grip twice.
but this guy just gets the record with the same issue.

That thumbnail got my heart racing more than any preworkout could.
NOOOOOOPE...Larry did it in 3 different weight classes. until someone can do that. those achievements mean nothing to me.
bro got me for a second..........
Larry definitely had good genetics for strength an endurance for lifting heavy weights respect 👍💯👀🏋️💪❤️🙏 good job champ been following you since day one🏆
Coach in every clip so good
MF HEART SKIPPED A BEAT WITH THAT TITLE 😂
LARRY YOU CAN'T DO THIS, WE ALL THOUGHT YOU DEAD BRO!
I really, really hope Larry will come back to PL one day and break all these new set records!
Larry always inbeded in my head as super human idc who gets hyped and tries to surpass him
the face he made when bracing for squats😂😂
He did sumo and you did conventional. That's a big difference.
Why wouldn't larry do sumo then he would break all the records than if that is so different in weight you pull .. everyone one is better at something slightly different
Jamal pulls almost 950 conventional...
Larry stay with us bro
bro, with all these body builders dropping, the thumbnail legit had me thinking "oh no, not another one!"
You could argue that he still has all 3. 1st one, sumo is a different lift and shouldn't be compared to deadlift. 2nd and 3rd ones, their deadlifts were still moving and should not have been given down calls. Plus a dodgy high af squat on the 3rd one.
id agree. larrys were cleaner. and the bench was just insane.
Jamal's deadlift is really insane 🔥
Them wide legs, looks like cheating
Insane how two inch rom sumo bs can be counted as valid. Larry still holds record for most work done (rom*weight) during a meet in that weight class.
@--SPQR-- Jamal can do very close to that conventional too.
Larry just being humble af 😂
That title man ! That shit made me drop my pre work out for a sec
Everyday login youtube just to see Larry hasn't posted. Today is finally the day😊
Larry’s gonna make a comeback and break all those records 😂

It's time for Larry to re-take the crown.
Welcome back.
Rest in Peace Larry
larry's form is so good no one can beat that
Larry's biceps has transformed completely
I just came here to make sure you are alive 🎉
You’ll always be a legend
RIP
"I nearly died in this rep" "i fought the devil with this rep" "i died and came back to life to finish the rep" bro lessgo
'RIP' is famous in arm wrestling culture 🤣
Larry needs to rejuice up and go break the new records, the come back story! 🔥
Your ratio is far better if comparing body form to lifted weight. You maintained a good body form while lifting heavy weights.
For me that was always impressive !!
Michael Schumacher once said; "Records are there to be beaten, and I'm quite relaxed one day it will happen."
Larry es sinónimo de fuerza 💪
You are a legend
Time to set new records Larry 😂
I had to re read that title more than twice😭😭😭
If Larry works professionally for only 1 year under the supervision of the famous Iranian coach Hani Rambod, Larry will soon go to Mr. Olympia, of course, he must be under the supervision of Hani Rambod.

Dam I was so happy about the thumbnail 😂💀
bro that thumbnail did us dirty
Larry made them look way more impressive, i mean the guy just yanks the weight from the floor like it was nothing
it's insane that it took three elite lifters to take your records. huge respect to them! but man larry is something else!
Dudeeeeeee I was like noooo fucking wayyyyyyyy for a second then don't do that man 😂
It's took a guy @300lbs + to beat the record.. no surprise.. Larry your still in your own league. PR KING
I thought something bad happened to Larry , I glad it's his record .💪🏋
Idc what anyone says that sumo deadlift total of Browner’s should be totally discounted and his total erased from the record books. That’s not to take away from the Browner or the strength it takes to do a heavy sumo deadlift, but it’s not the same because the distance the weight moves is cut literally in half thus making it an entirely different movement. To put things in perspective imagine doing a wr bench press raw with your grip all the way out to the beginnings of the sleeves and the short distance of that rep. That fully extended bench rep is tantamount to doing a sumo deadlift. That is why Larry’s record for that weight division should still stand.
Made my heart jump
Difference here is that Larry Wheels was hitting these records long time ago and while being alot leaner than everybody else. On top of doing other sports such as strongman, armwrestling and bodybuilding.
We will remember you 🕊️
Bro knew what he did with the title and thumbnail
my heart stopped for a sec after reading the title, and before this i watched a footage of him being insanely vascular😮, what a coincidence.
Larry’s lifts were the cleanest lifts though! 🔥🔥🔥
Not going to lie, you had me in the first half.
SirDave did 1085kg total and was under 125kg on the last meet
My heart dropped to the ground oh my god
Last deadlift was a shocking call by the judges. Very clearly dropped it.
