- A lot of you guys have been asking me this question ever since I got my 335i tuned by Derek at Moore Performance so I decided to answer that for you guys! My car has been tuned now for about 6 months and I have put around 9,000 miles on it since tuned.

Thank you so much for posting this content. Been following your channel throughout Covid, lost a couple loved ones, but gained a new one yesterday with the keys to a 335I N54 coupe with 61k miles on it. She is a peach. This channel was my motivation. I look forward going through your older vids ( pre 235 and M4 fun) to learn. I plan on adding maintenance and reliability mods first before I spent any money on performance mods.
Do you recommend any forums to learn more?

I been tuned for about 3 -4 months now and so far so good no issues . I got my car with 98k miles in feb of 2017 , now it has 118k miles . So far I’ve only had to replace lots of tireslol ,brakes pads, oil change every 5k . Running mhd stage 1 +. Only mods you can say I have apart from the tune is CAI , Tial bov, aftermarket charge pipe , and oil catch can . I have been a little reckless and still haven’t replaced sparks plugs or coils since I got the car even after I tuned it ,and I’m shocked the car runs so smooth even than . I’m doing maintenance this month though and ordering them from FCP Euro . Not gonna push my luck 😬

I agree with everything you said, I just wanted to know what type of tune you did first; JB4, Cobb, MHD or some other local Indy Shop tune?? I would definitely look into getting the Intercooler since you're tuned. These cars are a blast to drive after you put a tune in, they should come stock like they perform when you tune them.
I completely agree! I went with MHD first time. I still use MHD to tune my car

What spark plugs n coils do u recommend

Bosch coils
NGK Platinum or Iridium plugs.

Damnn! I've been looking into it a lot lately but i'm not sure if it can hurt the transmission?
It's the first mod I did on my 335, flashed it at about 65k and am currently on 72k going strong still it shouldn't really induce any negative wear if there's less slip involved each gear change plus the ZF6HP21 is the same gearbox the E70 X5M uses so i don't think it'll cause any problems. but it completely transforms the car, you get instant torque converter lockup so the car doesn't lurch from a low load set off, rev matched downshifts in S and M modes and my favorite is it removes the auto upshift at redline in manual mode so you can essentially revbang it... not that i do that a lot haha

Hey man, I have. 335xi, and when I got it about 5k miles ago, I put index 12 injectors in, luckily replaced them in time, before the dreaded rod knock, also did eldor coils from oembimmerparts and oem stock performance bosh plugs, it was running 100% perfect but now still has a very slight idle misfire, but no codes and I don’t think it’s actually a misfire, but I wanna do the mhd tune very soon, I’m buying a charge pipe, and maybe a blow off valve, but don’t want to go full bolt on yet, just add a stage 1 flash for a little more power on 91, do you think I should have my valves walnut blasted before I go stage 1 even? I have 128k miles, turbos were replaced last year at bmw, and oil pan was just re sealed last month

Great video Omar! so I want to share with you that I finally did a lot of upgrades/MODS to my 335i these changes include:
OIL CHANGE + FILTER
SPARK PLUGS & IGNITION COILS
Burger Motorsports N54 Dual Cone Intake
TRANSMISSION OIL + OIL PAN (FILTER)
VRSF Downpipes
VRSF charge pipe + HKS blow off valve
ARM Motorsports intercooler
and after all of that I purchased the MHD app and I did a flash to "Stage 2+" and the car runs FuXXXng amazing but I got so scared because after a pull the car throw me a code for the transmission (I got fucking scared) because I was in the middle of nowhere in Mexico coming back to the US. you have ana idea why? should I do a mod to the trans?

You should get a rear bumper with a diffuser in the future, but maintenance over mods

For my stock 335i E92 it's completely stock and all I want to do is VRSF CDP and a stage 1 mhd tune. That's all ya really need at least for me.

Is there a certain year that these cars are best in? I'm looking for a 335i 07-09 primarily because they look very similar. I found a great deal on a 2007, but I'd like to get your input as far as which year would be best. Thanks! 🤙

Question; as you know, my 335i only has 57,000 miles on it, it's not an everyday driver, and I recently got new plugs and oil change! Nothing was wrong with the coil packs. Will I have to still do some data logging?, or change the coil packs anyway to get MHD flash?
I think you should be fine with your MHD flash! I know you take good care of your car Steven, so I can't imagine you having any issues with the tune! You'll love it

I just replace spark plugs and coil replace 57k and running strong maintaining 335i is key .

If you drive these n54 like a man they won’t last ! Blew my motor after modding for 4 months
Any tuned BMW Motor is gamble. My N26 was destroyed in 2 weeks after a tune… I’ll never a tune a BMW again.

If those problems are not from the tune why mention them? who cares if the water tank broke, does it have to do with the tune? no.
