🎵.. All the love you passed our way .. 🎵
RIP Stevie Ray & Charlie W.
So amazing that he literally pops a tooth out while playing with his teeth, and he just keeps on playing like it's no big ! RIP Stevie Ray
You can read his lips I lost my tooth.. Haha he was the best saw him 4 times and night before he played his last show. Alpine Valley Music Theater
You may have missed it, During the 1st verse, Stevie breaks a string and his tech switches the Red strat for his white strat. There is no break in the song to notice this happening.
He doesn't break a string, he's unhappy that it's too far out of tune to fix on the fly.
He didn't brake the string. This song he wrote in the memory of his good friend who owned a guitar shop and passed away too soon. The white guitar was a present from him to SRV so he always preferred to play this song on that guitar.
Everyone misses the guitar change, 🤦♀️
Badass shirt!!! He was a GOAT!!!
'Tightrope', 'Crossfire', 'Change It', 'Tinpan Alley', 'Life By the Drop', all have great vocals.
Couldn't Stand The Weather is a good vocal song to add to this great selection of suggestions
Tick Tock - Family Style
@@acemodez3169exactly what I was going to say. Love that one
Never paid much attention to Stevie Ray Vaughn...until today. And I'm glad I did, this was fantastic!
Welcome to the SRV club! You will never be disappointed, watching, or listening to SRV!
The GOATOFGOATS! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 The goatiest goat in all of goatness
More vocals:
**Leave My Girl Alone at Austin City Limits 1989**
**Tightrope at Austin City Limits 1989**
This performance/song has always been a favorite of mine. Cheers to all the lost friends. 💞 And yes, his outfit was killer.
NOTICE HE STARTS WITH THE BROWN GUITAR AND CHANGED TO THE WHITE ONE (CHARLIE). Life Without You" was a song Stevie wrote after the untimely death of his great friend and mentor Charley Wirz. the song shows his love for Charley and how much he truly missed him. The White Stratocaster Vaughan played that was fitted with Danelectro Lipstick Tube Pickups was made by Wirz with the help of Stevie's Guitar Tech Rene Martinez. The white guitar is named Charlie after his friend who made it and passed away suddenly. ❤❤❤
Gotta react to tin pan alley with Johnny Copeland. Guaranteed to blow you away
By far my favorite performance!
Love you show, thanks for jamming Stevie. Another great song that he sings a lot would be Pride and joy. And Look at little sister ,keep on rocking. Thank you very much.❤
He was a major fan and influenced by Jimi Hendrix and did Voodoo Chile, do that one please. Anything by him is phenomenal.
ummm no, him and bb king adored each other ... stop tryin to excrete your pop guitarist with him ...
Check out Tightrope, you might find your vocal fix there.
I was lucky enough to see him at the capitol theater in 1985! If my mother knew where I was I would still be grounded. I was 15 taking a 117 mile bus ride to go to this concert...that message in the song Life Without You has stuck with me for over 37 years. I highly recommend you watch that concert! B.B. King used to say "You need to be black twice to play the blues, But I never noticed with Stevie Ray Vaughan!"
This was the year he became sober. He and Tommy Shannon (bass) were long time cocaine abusers, and now we see Stevie with some gained weight, and a more solemn demeanor. He can still play amazingly.
1986, was his sobriety year, actually! He did take that time during that song from then on to spread the word about the importance of Sobriety for a happy, healthy life. It was his mission to help as many others as he could, and he would help whoever asked, not letting his fame stop him. I want to add that the late Matthew Perry chose to do the same with the remainder of life, also cut short. It was what he wanted to be remembered for, so in honor of Stevie, I ask others to remember Mathew in that way. Though Stevie feared he would not be able to play as well sober, his performances were better than ever. He was as humble as he was talented, I would add. ❤❤❤
Great reaction, you don't just hear his music, you feel it! " leave my girl alone " " willy the wimp " " superstition " are a few to check out. 🙏
Salvo , Absolutely hands down one of my favourite all time favourite clips of Stevie . The broken string , The playing behind his back , but oh what a beautiful song and great playing .. Sending you Xmas love ❤❤❤
Pride and Joy is his song I hear most on radio. Greeat song with a good lyric/guitar balance
Absolutely love "Change It" from Live Alive. Or any other Change It. Absolutely LOVE that SRV shirt. Love that image of him. Where'd the shirt come from? ☮️
One of the best things i ever heard was SRV warming up before a concert!
I was there that fatal night at Alpine Valley Wisconsin when Stevie's copter went into the ski slope. It's still one of the foggiest nights I've known in all my 60 years.
The last song Stevie ever played on stage was Sweet Home Chicago, accompanied by his brother Jimmy Vaughn, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton. It didn't suck
He was very humble
This man was amazing and what a tragedy it was the day he died. Gone way too soon. He was so so very talented!
If you really want to hear his vocals react to a song titled Life By the Drop. There is no video that I’m aware of but you can listen to the album version. It’s just him and his guitar and it is phenomenal. Enjoy.
Stevie didn’t break a string. He traded and got ‘Charlie’ from his tech. The guitar is named after his guitar tech, friend and close died from a heart attack. Life without you is written about life without his friend charlie
He changed guitar in the beginning to the guitar named after his close but passed away friend, song is written for him, he loses his pick at the beginning of the solo after the beginning song text, then puts the gain to the max on the amps, to get the long sustain, then behind his back, super super text in the middle, then loses a tooth (you know where) and never ever stops to play like a god
I just want to add The Rockoplast live in Germany in 84' version of Third Stone From the Sun (Hendrix). I saw him in 84 and 85 and I think he stopped playing Third Stone From The Sun in 85 and took on the Keyboardist. I saw this song live to in Tuscon Arizona at the Refugee Concert no words can describe it. Think Memorex commercial with the guy in front of the speaker with hair blown back!
Thank you mate.. just perfect!! just keep on going to keep up the going works!! Love your changel!!
A coup radio friendly songs that might fit your request are Couldn't Stand The Weather and Pride And Joy. That's just off the top of my head. Not sure if there are any live performances of them or not. Nothing at all wrong with some SRV audio. That album that you showed in the beginning, Soul To Soul, is the first album I ever got as a CD. It was so damn cool!!! I played it over and over again, and I still have it to this day. One of my favs is an instrumental called Scuttle Buttin. 🔥🔥🔥
" Pride and. Joy" - 🎤 Unplugged Version !!!🎸🎶🎵🎶 👌😁
Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland has some good vocals.
"Pride & Joy",1982
I have that t-shirt. It's my favorite shirt.
One of my favorites next to Lenny and Riviera Paradise! You need to check out Stevie performing with his brother Jimmie Vaughn the song “Pipepline” it will blow your mind. It’s better than playing behind the back.
Ain’t gonna give up on love 1987, Daytona Beach. I MO the best version, because of the extended guitar work.
For his radio hits, check out:
Couldn’t Stand The Weather - live from Austin City Limits
Stevie always has guitar driven songs but as for more lyrics and normal time. Try Stevie Ray Vaughan - Change It - 9/21/1985 - Capitol Theatre (Official) same concert as this one.
Love that one!
I have that t-shirt! ❤😂
check out life by the drop, he has a great voice, too
Life By the Drop. Short and simple. Acoustic guitar. Studio recording.
For more amazing vocals try Tin Pan Alley featuring Johnny Copeland. There are several different performances of this song, but the one with Copeland is the best.
SalvoG...did you notice the 2 things that happened during this song.....1) changed guitars from red to white.....2) lost a tooth while playing with his teeth
There's a guitar duet with SRV and Dick Dale (king of surf guitar) video is silly but the guitars are awesome!!!
for vocals pls try one of his originals Ain’t Gone N Give Up On Love Live at Capitol Theatre (same performance as this one).
You didn't notice that he changed guitars... to the one that his mentor helped to design before he died 😢
Try "Pride and Joy" - there are more vocals in that (but then, maybe you've done that one? I'm not sure what all you've heard).
Did you notice the guitar switch? 😉
Steve's first words I need a cigarette and a strat
Try Tightrope or Crossfire.
Sal, This right here proves…Album/Chart standing’s don’t mean Sh!t. Most facts on the internet are misleading and incorrect.
Life Without You is now a song from Fans to SRV.
Big mistake Not learning about Why SRV wrote this song. To his late friend and guitar tech Charlie. The “white” guitar is named Charlie because SRV and Charlie built it.
You missed the Guitar Switching out from the Red to a White Guitar, because he broke his string. Very beginning of the song.
You want more vocals? Check out his cover of Superstition by Stevie Wonder
You know your a bad ass when you break string s an get another guitar and start where you left off
Listen to his studio albums
His studio work is great, but I greatly prefer SRV live. So much raw emotion in his playing and expressions, and he's such a natural performer on stage.
He broke his tooth on this video you can see he said it to the side stage
