"Nuvole Bianche" is an EPIC piano composition by Ludovico Einaudi. It's emotional, beautiful and the piece builds as it progresses.
Today we're going to look at the first main theme of the piece. I decided to focus on this theme because it's arguably the most recognizable part of the song, and it's a bit more accessible to piano players of different skill levels.
Not everyone will be able to play all of this, and that's ok. Play what you can, get inspired and then practice so you can learn the rest :)
To help further, I've taken the song down a half-step so there aren't as many black keys.
    Here we go:
    The chord progression - 0:53
The main melodic theme - 3:03
Playing it really SLOWLY - 4:49
    Getting more challenging - 6:09
Write your own Einaudi - 8:07
As you can see at the end of the video, the chord progression is not very difficult, and it doesn't use any crazy chords. So I would LOVE for you to experiment with your own patterns and melodies.

    Here are the timecodes:
    - The chord progression - 0:53
    - The main melodic theme - 3:03
    - Playing it really SLOWLY - 4:49
    - Getting more challenging - 6:09
    - Write your own Einaudi - 8:07

      Please, please do!
I love this song, but I feel like I'd get bored after a while playing it, or even mid-practice. Really nice that you identified the progression for us -- I struggle with it a lot. That plus the 'write your own Einaudi' part makes me want to learn this song. It open soo much room for even simple improv. Although too much would ruin it.

Take your time though. I got stuck at the intro trying out different lh/rh voicings, looks like it'll keep me busy for quite some time. Love that it's calm, space-y and slow enough for a beginner like me to meddle with it. Great vid idea!

Wow...I just happened on your site today and am so thrilled...first watched the "Halo" lesson...is a wonderful lesson...I started playing piano in my 40's...took lessons for a couple of years...played a little more...but my teacher "fast tracked" me and so I never learned what notes make up a chord...let alone the inversions...I just learned to play the notes of the sheet music...I got good enough that I could read basic/intermediate sheet music and then threw myself into guitar for the last 10 years...there was so much more content/lessons/etc. on RUclips for guitar but was not much for piano...plus I had started dating a woman who lived almost an hour away so was much easier to transport a guitar back and forth to get my music playing fix when I needed it...haha...
Things have changed in the last few months...I'm 60...and I want to get back into playing the keys...have broken out my old piano lesson books and am really happy with how it's "coming back to me"...but am really looking forward to exploring your site!!!!!...

    Hey Pianote,
Just wanna shout out to your channel and the instructor (sorry I don't know your name :") I rarely comment on social media but I have to say thanks to you because I went from a complete 'I-can't' beginner to 'I-can'. I started learning the piano a year ago with a tutor for around 6 months. It was tough at the beginning and I felt lost a couple times when I saw no progression, which led to less practice. The circle went on. I was hardwired to believe piano was not for me. Then I discovered your channel during lockdown. Oh boy, learning was SO FUNNN.
And all of a sudden, I went from someone who needed a lot of motivation to touch my keyboard to 'that annoying neighbor' who spent 2-3 hours playing endless : )) I'm a beginner still, but now I can play this version of Nuvole Bianche (my all-time favorite) and even look up for a more challenging one.
    All thanks to you, girl

Núvole biánche means ‘white clouds’ in Italian. To pronounce this title just say the ‘ch’ as a k. The vowels with the accents ( ú in núvole; the á in biánche) tell us where to put the stress when we pronounce the two words.

You tell it almost perfectly! Just remind that in Italian the letters “CH” sound like your “K” (‘cause historically we don’t have/use the K for ‘that’ sound). So, for pronunciation purposes only, is like to read “bianke”. Ah, don’t forget that the final -E needs to sound as well (and not as you pronunce the letter E in English).

Nuvole bianche, white clouds in Italian, is pronounced ‘noovola biaaanka’, the last vowel in both words being pronounced like the ‘e’ in echo, and the ‘aaa’ like the a in ‘ar’
