"Nuvole Bianche" is an EPIC piano composition by Ludovico Einaudi. It's emotional, beautiful and the piece builds as it progresses.
Today we're going to look at the first main theme of the piece. I decided to focus on this theme because it's arguably the most recognizable part of the song, and it's a bit more accessible to piano players of different skill levels.
Not everyone will be able to play all of this, and that's ok. Play what you can, get inspired and then practice so you can learn the rest :)
To help further, I've taken the song down a half-step so there aren't as many black keys.
Here we go:
The chord progression - 0:53
The main melodic theme - 3:03
Playing it really SLOWLY - 4:49
Getting more challenging - 6:09
Write your own Einaudi - 8:07
As you can see at the end of the video, the chord progression is not very difficult, and it doesn't use any crazy chords. So I would LOVE for you to experiment with your own patterns and melodies.

Here are the timecodes:
- The chord progression - 0:53

- Getting more challenging - 6:09
- Write your own Einaudi - 8:07
Please, please do!
I love this song, but I feel like I'd get bored after a while playing it, or even mid-practice. Really nice that you identified the progression for us -- I struggle with it a lot. That plus the 'write your own Einaudi' part makes me want to learn this song. It open soo much room for even simple improv. Although too much would ruin it.
Take your time though. I got stuck at the intro trying out different lh/rh voicings, looks like it'll keep me busy for quite some time. Love that it's calm, space-y and slow enough for a beginner like me to meddle with it. Great vid idea!
Pianote YES PLEASE !
YES please!!!
Please do full song ..it will be awesome ♥️♥️
PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEASE MAKE A VIDEO FOR THE WHOLE SONG, I REEEEEEALY LOVE IT❤️❤️❤️
Listen to my cover of Nuvole Bianche.

And just like that 10mins get over..........

Marks piano has a complete toturial
I love this song so much. It was the first song I learned to play on the piano. Ludovico Einaudi is known as the king of repitition, so I figured it would be “easy” enough to learn. It took time, but I always go back to playing this song.
King of repetition. Like Coldplay?
you can read as "bianke" the sound formed by "che " in bian"che" is pronunced as the "ke" of blan"ke"t
Andrea Annunziata thanks! I was wondering for a while... and how do you pronounce Ludovico Einaudi? 🙈
@@jazzguitar3441 Exactly how she pronunces in the video (except for the accent, that is amazing, I love when people speaks another language with their own accent)
Thank you💚
White blanket LOL
"Nway volay bee an key", is how i was taught to pronounce it, along with "Ludo vee cho eye n audi"
An amazing piece that I am in awe of.
You're one of my favourite people on the planet since this quarantine started.
Just so you know, you made me buy a Keyboard and I'll thank you always in the future.
Me too.haha
Without any prior musical experience whatsoever at age 28, end of last year I got a keyboard to just learn this piece, so I did in 2 months by just following the synthesia on Rousseau's channel, it's been about 5 months now and still play it every day, my favourite piece. Awesome video.
Tom V.nice! It’s not easy learning piano by one self, glad you saw a piece you loved and focused on it to the end.keep it up,you’ll go places!
Wow Tom that's impressive
You must have a good ear for music
Omg, this is the piece that made me fall in love with the piano and start learning ❤️
For me, it was the soundtrack from MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER, particularly JESSICA'S THEME!
Hey Lisa! Thank you! Nuvole Bianche is so beautiful in E minor and F minor scale! I love this song! Ludovico is definitely my biggest influence as a pianist and a composer.
I'm a complete newbie and have just purchased my first digital piano. I've watched many of your RUclips vids and will be signing up to Pianote next week. My goal at the moment, having never played, is to learn this song. It's been an all time fave of my for years! It might take me months and months to do, but I'll do it! Thanks for the inspiration
My favorite composer pianists:
1. Ludovico Einaudi
2. Roberto Fasciano
3. Giovanni Allevi
Compliment for your beautiful video.
Please do the whole song! Either for RUclips or Pianote subscribers, it doesn't matter! I love this song and this sort of music is what I started learning piano to be able to play. I particularly liked the improvisation help too.
Whole song tutorial please!!!!
Thank you for breaking it down and making it look so easy.
Just please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do the full song!!!!! AM IN LOVE WITH THIS MASTERPIECE! I LOVE the way you guys made this easier to practice! Lisa totally motivated me to play this! (Still learning the last part, the part with left hand broken up) But, PLEASE PLEASE DO A FULL VERSION!!! ✨
Thank you so much. I'm am trying to surprise my wife by playing this for her on Christmas morning. I don't play piano but have been teaching myself with your tutorials since January. Please please please do the entire song. It is my favorite classical solo piece
you are amazing thank you so much for your simplicity - the go to GURU
Oh girl....you've gone hooked. I haven't played in years but after listening to your videos I done fine and ordered myself a Korg C1 that will be here Wednesday! Thank you thank you!!!
How Serendipitous this is one of my major reason for picking up the piano...for the sole reason of walking into a bar or wherever there was a Piano & bringing the room to a hush......still haven't cracked it but I did manage to compose some piece of my own....👍🇨🇮💞
Eoin Hayes nice! It’s a great feeling playing while everyone is silent”
Yes please, do a tutorial for the entire song. And please do more tutorials like this of other songs. Your teaching method works very well for me.
This song is so beautiful! This is my fav song to play on piano... it's been 1year since I have learned it and still loves to play it!♥️
.
.
To everyone who is trying to learn this... it's a simple composition you can play it if you practice daily! ;)
Yea. It's a little bit difficult but I'm practicing every single day
@@flaviojr3605 yeah good luck mate!
Einaudi is my favourite composer of all time. Thank you so so much fot this lesson :) Gonna practice today :)
Me too.
Wow...I just happened on your site today and am so thrilled...first watched the "Halo" lesson...is a wonderful lesson...I started playing piano in my 40's...took lessons for a couple of years...played a little more...but my teacher "fast tracked" me and so I never learned what notes make up a chord...let alone the inversions...I just learned to play the notes of the sheet music...I got good enough that I could read basic/intermediate sheet music and then threw myself into guitar for the last 10 years...there was so much more content/lessons/etc. on RUclips for guitar but was not much for piano...plus I had started dating a woman who lived almost an hour away so was much easier to transport a guitar back and forth to get my music playing fix when I needed it...haha...
Things have changed in the last few months...I'm 60...and I want to get back into playing the keys...have broken out my old piano lesson books and am really happy with how it's "coming back to me"...but am really looking forward to exploring your site!!!!!...
Thank you!!!!
His Experience song is my number one all time favorite song hands down.
You know, this is one of the songs that made me want to learn the piano in the first place. I'm halfway done with Alfred's Adult book 1, and I kept thinking this piece would take me months; and yet here I am playing this, smooth as silk.
YOU.
ARE.
AMAZING.
Please keep doing more of these!
Also, 6:11 to 6:15 ; god you're adorable!
Oh thank you so much!! And congratulations that amazing!!!

Yes pleeeeese.....whole song. It’s 6 years since my daughter asked me to learn this piece!
This piece is actually my wake up alarm tone and the first thing I saw on my phone was this notification. Crazy! Thank you so much, Pianote, for giving us this tutorial and including the sheet music to your arrangement. I am definitely going to work through this the next time I practice. Also, I would love to see you play through the whole piece! It's just so beautiful!
Really?? A piece like this would put me back to sleep lol
How did you know I "discovered" this song last night and was discouraged by the key! Love you!
Seeing those 4 flats really scared me too , but the song has a lot of similar parts so it gets easier .Try listening and reading the sheet music a few time to see the repetitions/ similar sounding parts.
Good luck!
P.s. I'm still on page 2 😅
Yes, 4 flats does seem tough, but it definitely gets better as one plays basic pieces in the key, and learns the scale .
I like this video, she makes the song in an easier, more relatable key.
why do those extra flats scare you though, not even 6 flats or sharps would scare me.
@@duality4y that's great! Most people though find it difficult as they learn from basic keys: c, f, g, d to more difficult key signatures . Many of us find it easier to be in our comfort zone of less sharps and flats
@@fredtheafricanpianist5935 i am just curious why :)
Hi Lisa! I just wanted to thank you for all the lessons you and your team upload because you've been helping me and guiding me through the piano world. In addition, "Nuvole Bianche" 's pronunciation is nuvole bianke so ch sounds like a k. Greetings and lots of love from Italy!!
Yes, it would be great to see how to play the rest of this beautiful piece here on this channel, thank you very much for the tutorial!
Hey Pianote,
Just wanna shout out to your channel and the instructor (sorry I don't know your name :") I rarely comment on social media but I have to say thanks to you because I went from a complete 'I-can't' beginner to 'I-can'. I started learning the piano a year ago with a tutor for around 6 months. It was tough at the beginning and I felt lost a couple times when I saw no progression, which led to less practice. The circle went on. I was hardwired to believe piano was not for me. Then I discovered your channel during lockdown. Oh boy, learning was SO FUNNN.
And all of a sudden, I went from someone who needed a lot of motivation to touch my keyboard to 'that annoying neighbor' who spent 2-3 hours playing endless : )) I'm a beginner still, but now I can play this version of Nuvole Bianche (my all-time favorite) and even look up for a more challenging one.
All thanks to you, girl
Heres a Reminder! Please do the whole song for us!
Yes please do the entire song :) Ive been wanting to learn to play this piece the moment i heard it.
Núvole biánche means ‘white clouds’ in Italian. To pronounce this title just say the ‘ch’ as a k. The vowels with the accents ( ú in núvole; the á in biánche) tell us where to put the stress when we pronounce the two words.
Just started learning this piece. It's so beautiful!
Thank you for your time ❤️
Yes please to the whole song tutorial!!! I adore your videos and am pretty much learning the piano just with you, thank you thank you thank you XX
Please make a full video on this! Just starting learning piano and this is my favorite song
I am a complete bigginer. You teach so well, i can play all the parts you just mentioned in the video. Its totally adorable. Please teach us the rest of the song. ❤
Yes! My favorite piano song, so beuatiful and tricky aswell. Amazing
awesome!! I am waiting for my Korg G1 Air to be delivered so I can practice with all your videos. I love this channel and you are a natural teacher.
i love ludovico einaudi and his music. nuvole bianche is a very beautiful piece. unfortunately it will take me many more months to be even able to play a part of it.
This has been my favourite song ever since I was little. It’s inspired me to learn piano and I’m really finding your videos so helpful! Your energy is fantastic it’s inspiring
Wow! You are by far my fav piano theory/practical teacher! I usually Hate to do theory but ever since I have watched your videos, my parents have to Tell Me to GET OF, instead of me asking to play games! Tysm for these videos and I hope all the best! Keep up the extravagant work!
This song as well as Leaving Earth (Mass effect) are my all time favourites for chord progressions and the inspiration for me to start learning piano. Cannot tell you how excited I am to try this out!!
These tutorials are ngl one of the best
Thank you,the key change makes it so much easier to learn to play the song.
Wonderful tutorial!!! A great piece to learn in these troubled times. You are the best!!!!

Full song plz!!! So good!
Please do the entire piece - your lessons have really transformed my piano playing - you guys really are brilliant! 😊
indeed, she's an amazing teacher!
Pronunciation is: NU-vo-lay bi-AN-kay. Caps are the syllables that get stressed (accented). In Italian it means "white clouds".
Lisaaaaaaaa!!!
I love your videoss. Since last couple of months , I was watching ur videos without even having a piano and my first piano will come this week ! yeyyy 🤸♂️

My First song when i learned Piano 😂. I completed it and its very very beautiful. Like you lady 😀
i love this song, i can play the whole song multiple times on the piano without getting bored
it's a beautiful piece indeed!
Awesome!! Please please PLEAAAASE DO THE WHOLE SONG!!!
So many things to learn from you! Thank you so much for such a wonderful simplification of a beautiful masterpiece!
This is very beautiful, a very nice piece
You tell it almost perfectly! Just remind that in Italian the letters “CH” sound like your “K” (‘cause historically we don’t have/use the K for ‘that’ sound). So, for pronunciation purposes only, is like to read “bianke”. Ah, don’t forget that the final -E needs to sound as well (and not as you pronunce the letter E in English).
you are a miracle ! I've been studying with you all day long ❤️
Great video thank you I love this song. Please please please do the rest of the song.
Do the whole piece please!!! Your videos are very helpful and encouraging

Oh I am so darn excited you are teaching this. It's likely above my current capabilities but I am going to give it a try! Thank you.
Try it and see! It's a difficult song but you might be surprised!
Nuvole bianche, white clouds in Italian, is pronounced ‘noovola biaaanka’, the last vowel in both words being pronounced like the ‘e’ in echo, and the ‘aaa’ like the a in ‘ar’
yes! i've been playing this song a half step down because it's so much easier on me to play.
Yes could you PLEASE make the whole piece available? 😊
Great teaching style. Great, fun, vibe. x
