As of last Wednesday, I switched from Timeless to G&G.
Timeless is good. It showed me what C can do for my skin. I always ordered direct from Timeless, and the serum arrived pale yellow in color. With careful use, I got 6 months before it went too brown to use. I always ended up throwing some away.
A week ago I decided to add the G&G C to an order. Shipping took only 2 days, Hungary to the Upper Midwest, USA. That was impressive but even more so, the serum was absolutely colorless - not a trace of yellow. It should last longer for me.
I also bought their mini bottle. I'm keeping my main supply boxed in the 'fridge, and only putting a little in the mini bottle in my bathroom. That will keep it fresh even longer.
The thoughtfulness and customer service from G&G has won me over completely.

After my microneedling damage, I wanted the best of the best skincare and I bought into the hype and used the whole line from SkinCeuticals, ( always disliked the smell of their Vit C serum)
Then I went from SkinCeuticals to Medik8, later on to Niod. And although these brands are all good, and I do still use some Niod products, since I found your channel years ago, I am now using many different brands which I ve never heard of before watching your channel, and honestly these give the same results as the bougie brands.
G&G vit C is also my current to go to Vit C .
Thanks Rob, you have saved me a lot of money with your recommendations.

Timeless 20% Vitamin C isn’t available in the UK either, hasn’t been for a few years now same as the EU, the website shows sold out but it’s been like that for a couple of year now and when I contacted them they said to contact their US branch and tel them how much I miss it …lol …yeah Amazon have it through 3rd party and reviews showed oxidised and out of date. I know the US have a 10% and a 20% but not heard of 30%. I’d love to try the 10% because honestly the 20% was too strong for me and I couldn’t wear it everyday, which you need to really under your sunscreen

FYI, my Olay VC serum came in a small yellow bottle with a strong fragrance and my entire face broke out in red hives. That being said, I have sensitive skin. Total waste of money ! Never again.

Skinceuticals was ‘corralled onto me by a dermatologist, cost a fortune and it went brown in a couple of weeks - It was sticky, stingy and awful. Didn’t try a vit c serum again until today (tried inkey list vit c serum) -it nearly burned my face off!! My face is now like a smacked arse under a thick layer of cicaplast balm. Think I’ll stick to Niod survival 0 (which is always ok) and the only other vit c I can use (Boots vit c brightening day cream spf 50). Thanks for your excellent videos xx

I had some fab results with the Timeless but as you said, it’s sooo hard to get hold of in the UK 😢 I’m now using the vit c 23% + Ferulic acid by Garden of Wisdom to tide me over until I can get my hands on it again. It’s very very similar and an absolute bargain at only a tenner!

Hi from Caledonia Ontario! Skinceutical Ferulic is the only one that I can use. I’ve tried many others and had very allergic reactions and major burns! Here in Canada it’s close to $208 so I use it very sparingly. They must have something in it for my face and next to not react! I’ve tried the ordinary and La Roche posay as well and same thing.

It's new here where I live and I compared its ingridient list with the one from la roche posay and I think it is quite similar for less than half the prize. Btw I bought the ordinary vit c + alpha arbutin on your advice and it is magical! Thank you

But you do know The Ordinary got bought by Esteé Lauder, right? So still lots of marketing money behind them. And of course Esteé Lauder as a company isn't cruelty-free.
    I generally go for alternatives.

  • @saratruschler301
    @saratruschler301 Год назад

I didn't see results with any of these... Not the experience ones nor the cheaper one from The Ordinary. What does work for me is Eucerin Vitamin c. Affordable and you have to pump the bottle to mix the two week supply so you're getting fresh vitamin c every time. Plus it has this easily absorbed hyaluronic acid. Dark spots are fading and skin is plumped up and glowy.

I have a question on how to layer vitamin c. I know it has a low ph so after you put it on use a toner or essence with correct ph lvl then apply water serums (the ordinary peptides) but what im confused about is vit c is oil based so how will you water serums penetrate the skin? Cant seem to find and answer on that

Similar situation as you, TO wasn't powerful enough to truly tackle acne scars and old hyperpigmentation. I switched to the Timeless 20% and it's powerful!! I've used it for 3 weeks every morning first thing on dry skin and my mind is blown. Redness is way down, acne heals faster and doesn't leave a mark. I ordered it off their website instead of getting it at Target, since their newer bottles are glass and don't seem to have the leaking problem. I would order a bunch at once, but the shelf life is about 4 months so gotta use it fast 😅
