I saw the delphonics in boston in the early 70s the best group I ever saw and heard them and the chi lites they were the best I ever heard both groups lots of love.❤❤❤❤
I was blessed to see the Delfonics in 1971 I believe it was the Hollywood Paladium I was 14 age limit was 18 my sister now deceased snuck me in she knew I loved groups like them and The Dramatics, Temps etc she would do anything for her little bro I also got to see them a few yrs ago maybe around 2017 in LA great music which is needed today 😊
My husband loved these guys I lost him a year ago when I listen to yall it hurts but it seems like he's still here with me he could sing all of the songs love in the air
Being a product of that era, I been at concerts & I appreciate these "tribute" groups. However, let's be upfront & call it like it is, these cats are awight, but I seen Poochie, Randy, & WIlbert "live". If you get a chance to check some live footage of the original brothers, you'll hear & see what I'm sayin'.
Just happy that this group can carry on the music that we love so much back in the day. Whether they are the originals or not, just be thankful a they can sing. We Can't live forever in this world.

Perfeito, não fora os novos não saberíamos das maravilhas passadas.. Muito bom mesmo.
But the issue is the Original Delfonics members are still living, and they don't even supposed to be using the name The Delfonics. Another group did the same thing to Little Anthony And The Imperials. They had to go to court behind it!!
William Hart you will always be the original, no-one will ever claim the voice you have, the delfonics will always be one of my favorite groups, I also carry a unique tenor and falsetta voice, and I love singing those old stylistics and delfonic songs at concerts, not for monetary gain but your fans still love them, and I know that if I wanted to record in the studio I have to have permission because of the copyright law, nevertheless I will always respect you by singing the song as close to your original voice as I can, any other voice will not do justice.
I absolutely love the Dale phonics. I think I got my little girl from there too. It’s just great. You all are wonderful group. Just keep it up. Love you so much.
William Hart is a Legend in the music business. There are a lot of groups that came out of Philly, the Delfonics being one of the best. William Hart paved the way for, the Stylistics, Blue Magic, Continental Four, and so many other groups that used falsetto back when music was truly music. Delfonics top five of all time, and you could argue them being the best, period. Check the history of their legacy, Thom Bell did wrong by them and shifted his focus on the Stylistics and the Spinners. I love those groups also, but Mr Bell earned his name from the Delfonics, facts!!! Delfonics one of the greatest groups to come of of Philadelphia.
As far as Tom doing them wrong, it him that told William Hart that the their first manager wasn't paying them rightfully!! Bell confronted this manager before Hart did!! When Hart confronts the manager, they (him and Hart) make an agreement to part ways, but Hart's agreement left his Brother outback if you will, and that's when everything goes down hill!! Source The Delfonics Unsung A RUclips video of an interview with Wilbur "Will" Hart
Yeah, but they came out on stage, the band was playing, and they started that they wouldn't do a movement. They wouldn't do anything, then the band cut it off. When you come out on stage, you come out on stage with a song. You don't wanna sing it, and when you get out there. You're going to be meeting to the next to the song. You're gonna sing see, this is how they did it back in the day. These things don't know how to do this stuff. You don't come out there and. You got the band played, you just standing there and the band cut it off. Note you come out and say either. They should come out on stage a song and then start singing that song. Because it's dead, you just stand there with nothing to do. It's just so unprofessional and plus they will fix. I talked to these guys before. I think awife cut him off.
I am a DJ in the Philly area and I do play oldies. At first I was down on this video but once I gave it a 2nd listen I liked it much better. As someone pointed out it's getting hard to find groups like this anymore. In the end I would go see this group even though they are not the 1960s,70s group. For me it's a chance to hear the music that helped put Philly on the map. Philly took over the music scene during the 70s and it was a great decade for music. I got to check out the Stylistics Revenue recently and I did appreciate what they were doing which is keeping that era of music going.
Will Hart of the original Delfonics, I saw your story on UnSung and loved it. It's too bad all of you got ripped off the way you did. Can you imagine how many more monster hits you all would've had if Thom Bell had stayed? You two were a dynamic combination. Glad to see you here, and wishing you and Wibert the best. Your music sounds good no matter who performs it or what time of day it's played, and that's a testament to the quality of music and melody you created.
Earl Young is one of the best drummers ever. This drummer is not on his level. Earl was on all the early sessions for MFSB the Philadelphia Orchestra backing all the big Philly singer’s and groups.

one more thing the original Delphonics are still performing live. William and wilber are still alive and performing even though they are in separate groups. plus their children are in music and singing. so your THEORY nobody is going to perform the Delphonics songs is WRONG

On the other hand, these guys, Greg Hill and the group sound very good. My only thing is when someone tells me the "Delfonics" are going to be showing somewhere and I pay my money to get into the show and it's not the Delfonics I get pissed. Truth! You guys sound great just call yourselves the Delfonics Revue when your advertising to do a show then no one will have anything to say.

Stumbled across this video and the first thing I was looking for was Wilbert Hart or William Hart and those are the original Delfonics I love the original Delfonics and I feel that if there's any other group outside of them it should be a review and not call The Delfonics because they're not the original song writers of the song. To me anyone who don't know the originals will think they are. And I am a music lover of my years in the 70's.
So can 3 men, just come along and present themselves as , The Delfonic' s? They need to say what they are The Delfonics Review. Saw them in Trumbull CT and they're just alright. They can never sing or replace... William & Wilbert Hart and Major Harris, the true Delfonics.
from my perspective, music is an art and universal for all to enjoy. through the years artist have always sung other's songs. These brothers sing in honor of the original Delfonics, and they make it very clear they honor the original the The Delfonics. so please let's all enjoy the music! Peace & Love
+Wil Hart of the original Delfonics DONT NEED YOUR APPROVAL WILBERT....WENT TO COURT AND GOT IT ALREADY!!!! HOW BOUT YOU...wil hart FORMERLY OF the delfonics???????? NO ONE HAS ME BY THE BALLS........NEED SOME ICE??????
What disrespectful little boy. Why are you reviewing our musing again, if you hating us, or me why you trying to make a living off pretending to be a delfonic. Get a life, review new edition or some other band you played bass for, the Delfonics don't need you son. Instead of trying to convince people that you are connected to the delfonics, write a song man, create something of your own. Anybody has the right to be a review group, no one needs to go to court for that, but again, since you really not an artist, you would not know that. LOL. Stop disrespecting me too, our fans, the ones you try to make money off of, yeah, they don't like that. lol
LOL...your disrespecting yourself....you started this...not me. Remember...DAD....you taught me! My mentor! Wilbert....FOR THE RECORD... ...you sir...are responsible for creating my delfonics revue...im sure you know why..... NO DOUGH......NO SHOWS! Thats why i left......How the hell can you keep a group together if you don't get gigs..and when you do....you literally pay peanuts???? want the truth? ASK HIS CURRENT "HIRED HANDS" JOE BRANCH AND DR SALAAM!
Wow - I'm really glad other artist are not in such a dispute . I really love Russell Tompkins Jr. and The New Stylistics, The Stylistics And Van Fields and The Stylistics Revue. There seem to be no real beef with these talented men. Thank God!!! I think the lead singer has a awesome voice. The other guy who seems to talk to much , really needs to shut it down. Bottom line , the original Delfonics has always been a unbeatable and unforgettable group and will forever remain that way no matter what.
Greg Hill used to sing lead with Wilbur's Delfonics then left. That being said, nowadays, when you go see a group, you better find out which one is showing up
I am just glad the music is being kept alive. All of us are going to pass away, it is good our music is still being played for other generations. Shout out to Bruno Mars and groups/bands can share it further. They can sing and that is what counts, better than the limited stuff you hear and is promoted. So let's just enjoy. Peace Out
The Delfonics Never BEGGED people to respond to their music. The Delfoniics had real and powerful moves. Who are these watered-down clowns? Yes, "You CAN fool some of the people..." The Delfonics never joked or played around.
I agree with thom bell shifting from the delfonics to the other groups his best work was with them, the Delfonics is the only group when they sing you would think they were five not three amazing
Really ??? All the petty arguing and negative comments on this posting is so ridiculous. It should be quite obvious someone erroneously titled this video as the Delfonics. The guy introducing them also failed to address their act as a revue. I'm quite sure these gentlemen would soon realize the amount of havoc both these mistakes would cause . These gentlemen are definitely guilty of not sounding as good as the original Delfoncs, but absolutely no one can. The Delfonics were one of the best trio groups ever. Their sexy sound was magical and could never be duplicated. Much respect to these gentlemen for even attempting to sing their songs in front of a live audience. Actually Mr. Gregg Hill, ( lead singer ), really has a awesome voice. He once was part of a group, Van Fields and the Stylistics Revue , in which his best work was demonstrated. You might wanna research U-Tube for his performances at that time. My thing is , if you were not financially involved in any way in regards to this performance , you lost nothing. It's virtually impossible to please everyone all the time. Don't be so cruel.
thank you! we never approved this video to be released......and we would NEVER knowingly allow someone to announce or label use as the delfonics. www.thedelfonicsrevue.com
Wow, my sister, exposing frauds is not petty, it should not be tolerated. Even Jesus Christ spoke of many coming in His name, false prophets, false Messsiahs. Falsehood should not be tolerated. Obviouuly they are making money off of others legacy, that my sister is a problem whether you agree or not. Russell Thompkins lead singer of the Stylistics and Aaron love sang most of the lead on their hit records. If you have those who actually sang the songs and used fill in to do the background I can accept that., Because someone was part ot a group does not make them the group. The Four Tops with Levi Stubbs, would not want to see them. The Miracles without Smokey Robinson, i'd pass. Isley Brothers without Ronald Isley, no! Chairmen of the Board without General Johnson. James Brown Revue, no James Brown. Jackson Revue, no Michael Jackson. How about the Marvin Gaye revue? NIna Simone revue, no Nina. Oh it is not petty by any stretch of the imagination. Me I love the real thing. If you are in a relationship with a man, let us just say his name is Harry, would you be satisfied with the Harry revue, just because he could hug and kiss you and do similar things! News flash, it is not Harry!!! Let that roll around in your mind for a moment. People need to stop being so passive and gulllible. By they way true Believers are always on defense and offense when it comes to DECEPTION.
My name is Michael Russo I have been looking at these arguments back-and-forth between hart & family and Hill , 1. Anyone in the audience can film entertainers and title them the way they want when they enter it on RUclips the performers have no control over that nor does a promoter in this case the performers and the promoter had anything to do with the labeling and titling of this video. 2. Mr. Hart no one can take anything from you which is rightfully yours you have given us great memories I love your songs I think I’m the only white guy that sounds like the original when people Minnick your style and songs that’s the highest compliment and honor any artist can get and family members should appreciate that . I myself am from South Philly and a true and whole hearted fan of the Delfonics , I wish you and your family the best as well as Greg Hill
Greg Hill was a member of Wil Harts "original" Delfonics for more than 15 years. As the second tenor in Wil Harts Delfonics, Greg toured the United States and abroad performing for audiences worldwide. Greg performed on the 2005 PBS Special "Soul Legends" and also recorded an album with Wil Harts Delfonics entitled "Fonic Zone" that was featured on the "Unsung" TV series. This CD also included a single with Platinum recording artist Rick Ross that was distributed by Universal. After many years of touring & recording with Wil Hart (an original Delfonic) Greg decided to depart from the group and began touring with his own Delfonics "Tribute Show" which is called Greg Hill & THE DELFONICS REVUE. (no relations to William Hart or the Delfonics trademark) Greg and his Delfonics Revue has been in existence and touring for over 10 years and has established a solid fan base throughout the United States and abroad. The groups first concert appearance was in 2002 in which they co-headlined with Melba Moore and the rest is history! Current members of Greg's Delfonics Revue include "2nd tenor" Tommy Moore and "1st tenor" Ben Daniels formerly of The Stylistics Revue. The Delfonics Revue stage show is filled with some of the Delfonics greatest hits like; La La Means I Love You, Didnt I Blow Your Mind, Ready or Not & many more...just to name a few! The original Delfonics is well known for their smooth harmony and legendary choreography that has brought them worldwide fame so needless to say, with many years of history and knowledge behind him, Greg Hill along with Tommy Moore and Benny "Primetime" Daniels continues to take the legendary "Sounds Of Philly Soul" to a new level in sight and sound! When you want the very best in classic soul…"Feel The Magic" of Greg Hill & The Delfonics Revue!
Hey guy, I am happy for you all on your continuance of such a group, what you are doing is never easy, don't take all the shock expressed here in what seems negative seem personal,I was a member of a group called the Diamonds back in the early 70's, all of our songs where Delfonic songs, our lead singer was such, I dare say that William would have asked, is that me? We loved the Delfonics, being the age that I am now, well I understand what you are doing, I wish you success and understanding, some people feel as though something is being taken from them when they tune in to see William, Wilbert, Randy Cain. not realising that they are no longer, its a pain of love, I feel it, but I wish you the best.,
+gregory hills Don't try to use my name to justify your BS review group. Try to make a living off your own success. Since you have none in the music business I know that must be hard. Greg Hill has absolutely NO CONNECTION to the DELFONICS or our success. So just do your review and stop pretending that you are connected cause you are not!
The band is awesome, I was on edge until I saw the group. Realized they're not The Delfonics. Oh, reading on see they are a "Revue" group so apologies they said whomever posted put the name incorrectly. Praying the original Delfonics all still with us ?

First I apologize for the English, I am using the google translator. It is possible that some words are not understandable. I have a hard time understanding many of the criticisms, especially when we see talent and honesty in what is done. That said, I see in the work of these boys a lot of truth, talent. Besides, in a moment of musical poverty, you can remember, enjoying what was best done in another time must be very rewarding for those who built all this cultural heritage.
Love it great work men and your wonderful group ❤

True Fact
Get your facts right! The Delfonic brothers were constantly fighting and that eventually broke the group up! Tom Bell did right to move on!
Tom Bell left The Delfonics, but also Left Little Anthony And The Imperials, which he may was with between The Delfonics and The Stylistics

This is not the original Delfonics. It's how people can take the name of a group for which they have no affiliation.
Shout out to the Original Delfonics
HOLD UP THAT'S NOT THEM
Still sound good bring Back Memories love it B Garnett
They need to say what they are The Delfonics Review. Saw them in Trumbull CT and they're just alright. They can never sing or replace... William & Wilbert Hart and Major Harris, the true Delfonics.
B
.
Randy Cain was the original replaced by Major Harris when he took ill. Don't leave him out.
@@connieclay3342 Damn Right!
Best love making music ever!!
from my perspective, music is an art and universal for all to enjoy. through the years artist have always sung other's songs. These brothers sing in honor of the original Delfonics, and they make it very clear they honor the original the The Delfonics. so please let's all enjoy the music! Peace & Love
I applauded your group! Singing Delphonics music is kool. BUT ADVERTISING yourself as the Delphonics is a crime.

These guys were great at the show!
Stop that they are trying not bad at all
Love the Delphonics.
Another TRIBUTE group,GOOD LUCK guys!!!
+Phil Spigner Yup, one of many but this guy is just disrespectful so he will never get mine or my brothers approval. But hey Karaoke is legal.
+Wil Hart of the original Delfonics
DONT NEED YOUR APPROVAL WILBERT....WENT TO COURT AND GOT IT ALREADY!!!!
ASK HIS CURRENT "HIRED HANDS"
JOE BRANCH AND DR SALAAM!
+They Call Me Eli'ciah Yes, his constant babbling about nothing is annoying.
I think his falsetto was on point.
These guys sound great may not be originals thanks for the memorys
Greg Hill used to sing lead with Wilbur's Delfonics then left. That being said, nowadays, when you go see a group, you better find out which one is showing up
I am just glad the music is being kept alive. All of us are going to pass away, it is good our music is still being played for other generations. Shout out to Bruno Mars and groups/bands can share it further.
They can sing and that is what counts, better than the limited stuff you hear and is promoted. So let's just enjoy. Peace Out
i like my friends the delfonics véry good the voices in songs thank you so much my friends.
These are 3 very talented singers...enjoy the show as they bring us the sounds and songs of the Philadelphia Delfonics. ...Peace.
+Taco Gillespie thats all we are trying to do....keep this music alive..... THATS ALL..... why all the hate?

"Lala Means I Love You"!❤ My Babygirl's Favorite Delfonics song!
I seen them in DC last month. they did a great job.
The Delfonics Never BEGGED people to respond to their music.
The Delfoniics had real and powerful moves.
Who are these watered-down clowns?
Yes, "You CAN fool some of the people..."
The Delfonics never joked or played around.
Hey kev!....its a new day baby!....thanks for you comment though!
everyone has an opinion......PEACE!
Still wonderful 👏 😊

Ready or not, here I come! ❤ You can't hide, gonna find you!!❤😂❤
I agree with thom bell shifting from the delfonics to the other groups his best work was with them, the Delfonics is the only group when they sing you would think they were five not three amazing
Fantastic music group.
These pretenders can't fool me. I grew up listening to the hart brothers.
+Ca'sandra Sims Montalvo--I agree with you 1000%
thank you! we never approved this video to be released......and we would NEVER knowingly allow someone to announce or label use as the delfonics.

Wow! Greg Hill is not singing lead. He's the guy to your left.
Not being cruel, being Factual!!
Facts are facts!!
Again this same thing also happened to Lil Anthony and The Imperials
The drummer is good.the group is very very good!! I'm lost for words!!!!
Nice tribute group.....can't deny their talent. Too bad the original members couldn't get it together

Pure talent y'all still cold..
Not here to fight, you guys sound great! People music is about love and happiness, stop the fussing. Aug. 1, 2021.
THANK YOU! THIS IS THE DELFONICS REVUE.... www.thedelfonicsrevue.com

(no relations to William Hart or the Delfonics trademark)
Greg and his Delfonics Revue has been in existence and touring for over 10 years and has established a solid fan base throughout the United States and abroad.
We loved the Delfonics, being the age that I am now, well I understand what you are doing, I wish you success and understanding, some people feel as though something is being taken from them when they tune in to see William, Wilbert, Randy Cain. not realising that they are no longer, its a pain of love, I feel it, but I wish you the best.,
Thanks 4 The History!"
You are sosososo underrated
Sound great , as close as it gets to the real thing
The Delfonics Review does a great job!
They sound, look, and dance more like Blue Magic!
Simple, these guys are NOT THE ORIGINAL DELFONICS. AND THE ORIGINAL DELFONICS MEMBERS WERE STILL LIVING AT THE TIME THEY WERE TOURING!!
You are sosossoo bless
Thank you for the delfonics end of the world in Jesus name as saving all the lives that need to be saved and she's asleep amen amen
