RIP to all the gears
This for mikey:
1. Yes, you can skip gears
2. Keep your foot off the gas while shifting, use a little gas after selecting the gears and while raising the clutch for a smoother shift
3. Brake first and then clutch down when coming to a stop
4. When driving off, use a little gas while lifting the clutch SLOWLY to get off a little quicker and to decrease the chance of stalling
5. No, don't go back to neutral while shifting
That downshift fail was dangerous af xD

Definitely gave me some good laughs! (especially at 13:58 😆) I give you props for making it back. Brought back a lot of memories learning how to drive a manual for the first time; I stalled so much starting out. Best of luck on the RSX journey! Such a great car.
13:18, you can stay in first, but is not recommended to stay a lot if the traffic is not moving for like 5 min or 10+
So since yall are really getting into this whole automotive scene, are gonna see the internet city Bois jumping on the Simulator (or better yet taking an advanced driving course for us to watch) and getting some real practice putting a manual car through it's paces? Mikey was stressing me out. I made sure my daughter’s first car was a manual for just this reason. If it’s the only option, at least you won’t be stranded. That was hard to watch but good job figuring it out on your own.
Traffic stopping in front of you. Stopping in traffic, Clutch in and off throttle and throw into neutral (clutch out)while hitting the brake at the same time. If you didn’t come to a complete stop. Just throw into 2nd,3rd or 4th depending on speed. Skipping gear is fine. Don’t get into the down shifting craziness. No need too. Repeat the clutch in, off throttle, and go into neutral all while braking at the light. You get the hang of it. Off first gear. Clutch slowly coming out and keeping throttle on the gas to keep moment and it won’t die. You’ll find the engagement point on your clutch and just play with it. You get use to it.
and u can skip shift but only backwards, like from 5 to 2, etc, u need to know when to shift back, depends on the speed
I usually shift to 6th when getting to desired speed on highway to save gas

In addition, it could be harmful to the engine if you can't keep up with the changing of the rev level. and your new ride is ice😱😱😱😱😱

I learned to drive a stick when I was 16 but I leaned the basics I came across a mustang gt when I was 27 I was a nervous wreck lol but after a week I was good to go you will learn your clutch practice and to all the haters in here talking about burning your clutch it will take more than a couple stalls and riding it to burn it up I used to be terrified to be stopped on hills but once I learned the catch point you won’t roll at all !!
While you're moving (at any speed) never down shift to first gear, lowest go to second. While down shifting do not worry about rev matching/ using the gas to bring up the RMPs. Wait until you can drive a manual properly then try rev matching after you learn what the difference in RPM each gear is. Like going from 3rd to 2nd gear in a stock RSX 6 speed trans I believe (I could be wrong) is somewhere around 800 to 1000 RPMs. However from 4th to 3rd may only be about 500 to maybe 700 RPMs. But if you are driving in the lower RPM range 2000 to 4000 you can down shift without using the gas and release the clutch slowly the synchro gears will rev the engine and trans to match each other for you. Lol release the gas push in the clutch and shift and then let off the clutch and back to gas. When you reverse push in on the break and clutch and just ease off of the clutch and the break but more off the break and you will start going
I bought my acura integra without knowing how to drive manual just keep driving it gets easier
remove the white heart vinyls and the white rims. get a better fitment for sure. lets talk about that K20 u got in that joint .
You can keep going on six gear to get more power downshift to fifth and go back six gear.
And another since it your first time driving stander put in neutral to come to stop .
