Sorry for the rant in advance. It’s been a real struggle for my family lately. We are a family of 6 living in a 1 bedroom apartment and we were surprised with our 5th child this year. I had a lot of complications during this pregnancy and he tried to come at 22 weeks but the doctors stopped my labor. Then again he tried to come at 24 weeks so the doctor told me he wanted to put me on strict bed rest. So I put in my 2 weeks at my job and did what the doctor advised. I’m now a stay at home mother because we can’t afford child care. So now my husband works everyday without having a day off(40+ hours a week). Even with him working himself ragged money is still so tight for us right now we almost had our electric shut off because it was 300$ and where we live if your electric gets shut off you get evicted since it’s considered a lease violation. On top of that we spent 3000 that we’ve been saving for a long time on a used car so we didn’t have to walk outside in the cold with the kids only to find out later when we go to get an oil change that the transmission is going out. So I’m praying the car last till tax time. At this point I don’t see us even affording Christmas this year which makes me feel like failure as a parent. So I’ll admit seeing stuff like this makes me a little jealous. That said I’m also genuinely happy for you guys. I’m sure getting to where you are now hasn’t be easy for you guys either. Lord knows this planet likes to throw hard balls at its inhabitants. Plus you guys make me laugh when I want to break down so thank you for that.
