    I like this guy! Why spend 80 bucks on scissors when you can get a damn good pair of fiskars for 10 bucks!

    I need a picture of where exactly you used the bolt cutters to cut the tool to get rid of the loop.

    I went with my jewellers loop pliers instead of that tool you used to make shanks .(I bought my pliers at Michael's).$19.00 CANADIAN. Sculpin feather also works will(Kelly Galloup)

    Question: These are very pretty flies/lures. Do people actually fish with these or are they wall hangers?

      I fish with these regularly. They are killer for any and every predator fish.

    What shanks have to be long and which ones have to be short?

    • @FishChaseFlies
      @FishChaseFlies  5 лет назад

      The first shank has to be long enough for the feather tail and the first fox wrap. The next one is short and they get progressively longer as you get closer to the hook. I just eyeball it

    How well does this work with buck tail

    • @Belbivdevoe
      @Belbivdevoe 2 года назад

      Buck tail would be great if you could make some brushes. Otherwise it would be a nightmare if you have to do a loop each time

    its hilarious that people talk about the game change like it was a game changer. We've had this design for decades. I fished it when i was a kid in the 80s and 90s. It was called a rapala. The nerd didnt come up with nothing new, just made a damn rapala out of fur, feathers, and plastic strands. lol.

    Well done, great work! but...but... Replacing the polar fox with kanekalon or congo is exactly the same thing...Using polar fox for fly tying is an aberration today...You have to know how to evolve in the right direction in 2022...Isn't a fly fisherman above all a nature lover ?

      What? The fox is dead. As are the deer for bucktail. Sportsmen are the best conservationists on the planet.
