    I took a handful of online classes w BC during the covid lock downs, the jerk changer being one of them. Had I not taken that class I never in a million years would've understood the concept the way I do. It is one of my favorite flies to tie and fish. Thanks for using some different materials and expanding the possibilities. Whenever I see that pat or Ryan have posted a fly tying video I get excited. Pats take on an already excellent pattern is never a disappointment. Thanks for sharing with us.

      Thanks so much for watching. Pat and Ryan are the Gurus around here for sure.....and Justin too! Make Brian look like a hack?

      I'm gonna hafta stick up for old Brian. He built one of the best fly shops in America that has one of the best RUclips channels on the subject, and continues hiring and keeping the best staff in the world and marketing better than anybody else in the business.... I mean, he's such a G that he doesn't even need a rotary vise. I wouldn't even fish swimming Jimmy's if it wasn't for Brian... I once saw Brian tie an articulated streamer from a single feather. After all....You are referring to the man who helped me to realize that the fish are not in the trees.
      All jokes aside, Brians contributions have opened the door to a thing that has given more to me than I could ever give back.... If only he would ever finish his book on leaders...

    Awesome tutorial! Made one of these this morning before Easter dinner and caught fish with it after!! Also that was my first experience catching a fish with a fly I tied. First time trying. Couldn't be happier. Thank you.

    I remember Blaine talking about a specific body material he used for the Jerk Changer, is that available yet?

      Thanks for watching. You'd have to check with the shop directly on that though.

    The Jerk Changer, is this one you made Fresh and Saltwater friendly? I enjoyed this video.

    Hi Pat, would love to see you tie a musky size version of Blane's new JERK CHANGER. There's very little out on the net in the way of "how to" instructions or even details about any new materials/ techniques it might involve. I know they flies take time to tie, but hoping a you might be convinced with some of your editing magic. What do you think?

      Thanks for watching Scott. Please send Pat an e-mail at the shop or give him a call. He'll be happy to help but he doesn't come around these parts much.

    When will these be available to buy?

      We don’t know the answer to that. Flymen Fishing Company is in charge and they are still struggling with production due to Covid.

    I noticed you do not use resin , instead you use crazy glue, why?

    • @Madriveroutfitters
      @Madriveroutfitters  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for checking with us but you'd have to send that question over to Pat at the shop. Send him and e-mail or give him a a call and he'll get you an answer. He doesn't monitor the comments here at all.

      A lot of videos out there showcase people using UV resin to secure the thread at the head of the fly, but this is simply not the best application for it. The best stuff for securing your thread is a thin PENETRATING glue, and super glue works fantastically. Resin will work... for a while. A couple hard battles though, and I've had every bit of that resin get stripped right off the head and the thread started unraveling. Never have I had that happen with super glue. Resin is best used for adding bulk, controling the direction or stiffness of fibers, shaping brush heads, or adding an extra layer of protection over heads and eyes. Not as thread security.
