    Wow the baofeng speaker mic was super muffles vs the Kenwood speaker mic

      Yeah, it’s unfortunate but for the price it’s what you’d expect.

    I find the BaoFeng's speaker mic's speaker very quiet, compare to the radio's speaker itself. Not sure if you have the same experience. I got 2 BF mics here and they both sounds super quiet (*the speaker). My UV25's built in speaker is so much louder. I wonder if the Kenwood can get loud enough..? I want a loud speaker mic for desktop use. Wonder if the kenwood will do the job?

      The kenwood and TidRadio speaker mics work very well

    I just received my first acoustic tube earpiece and am absolutely blown away at how loud and clear everything was. First use I thought I was gonna blow my eardrum.

      Yeah you need to be careful with the volume. Remember that these HT’s don’t have any Automatic Gain Control, it’s easy to cause yourself hearing damage.

    That little headset held it's own. I am very surprised. I have tons of those things in boxes around in closets. I may need to get them out

    The earpiece mic that comes packed free with most BaoFeng’s works absolutely great when hunting. It allows you to speak at a whisper to others in your party. By the way, hunters in Pennsylvania legally may not announce the location of game over any two way radio. However they may announce it’s time for a lunch break.

    Hello, can I record the audio directly from the radio? thank you

    • @M7EUP
      @M7EUP  7 месяцев назад

      Yes. Just use the appropriate jack. Just remember that when you plug in to the speaker output the speaker will be muted so if you want to hear what’s being recorded you’ll need a recording device with a monitor setting.

    Nicely done video. Now I'm wondering if I could clip the earpiece off of the headset and install a 3.5mm plug to use with my ear-pro. Any thoughts? Thanks for the video.

      If you’re referring g to the Kenwood then just get a 3.5mm stereo female to 2.5mm mono male converter.

    Hey, thank you for the great video. Could you please tell me if once I plug the external microphone could I switch the voice to come out on the radio? Like, speaking on the microphone and listening on the radio speaker. Thank you so much.

      Technically yes…. But it would require you to re-wire the K-Plug unfortunately. There isn’t an option to do that via the menus.

    It’s also worth knowing that the more expensive microphones are generally better quality so it’s not necessarily any design issue it’s simply budget to constraints

    With accessories for baofengs. You really do get what you pay for in things like shoulder mics. You can get the baofeng labeled one for under 5 dollars. You can get a bundle of the cheap shoulder mics for under 20. They sound like crap. Both ways. The speaker is terrible and the audio quality out is terrible. You can spend more and get one from somewhere like Mfj and it sounds good both in and out. Truthfully the cheap ones are the most many people will need. It's hard to justify spending 59 bucks on a mic for a 15 buck radio lol

      I agree. Although as people progress through the hobby sometimes it’s more cost effective to spend a little more on a good antenna and speaker mic and make a $20 radio sound like a $250 radio.

    I looked at my baofeng speaker mic, its different. Has 3 slits for the mic and says "Made in Taiwan" on the back".
