I love Brandon's graying hair. It's amazing how he can sing covers and make them like they're his own.

They were talking about doing a full album of nothing but studio quality covers but it hasn't happened yet and that was years ago. Probably too expensive to do I imagine.

The Killers are great in making covers. They can turn an average song into something precious. But man, listen them playing Starlight by Muse - this one wasn't their best! :D

You can see how much Dhani Harrison is loving Brandon’s voice, he reacted as soon as he hit that first note. Not an easy song to sing well. Great job from BF and obviously great band and backing singing.

Ok so Brandon/The Killers are obvs great at covers, but this... you can tell he's loving this and Dhani is thrilled. I sing and am a nitpick for getting the nuances right in cover songs. Brandon's timbre and feel in this is spot on! He has really captured George's vocal. Beautiful and heartwarming!
I saw an interview with him (from about 2012) where he mentioned he'd been having voice/singing lessons to get better at his craft. I think it must have really helped him with capturing the nuances you mentioned :) huge respect to any rock singer humble enough to do that.

I've heard The Killers on the radio and enjoyed them, but wouldn't consider them anything special. So I was not expecting them to absolutely nail this.
