    In terms of Mad Max, they should also get rid of Hollywood Stunt Driver and retheme the stunt show to Mad Max. Call the Arena the Thunderdome obviously.

    Totally agree with adventure world…. We get season passes there each year for our kids, but told the kids for this summer season we would give it a miss… The park is getting a bit tired and hasn’t had any sizeable additions for a few years now. Another area that could be utilised is right in the middle of the park! The castle, paddle boats and miniature train are long gone…. It is quite an eyesore right in the centre and be put to such good use!

    You are so bang on about Movie world needing a Mad Max attraction and I’ve been saying it for years. It’s an Australian Warner Bros franchise that has been going strong for nearly 50 years. Probably the only non DC Warner Bros franchise that’s still fresh for that long and it’s Australian and it still has a loved legacy unlike the DC cinema universe at the moment. If not a Gerstlauer I think a RMC could be perfect for the theme.

    just to clarify something, warner bros no logner owns the rights to mad max. they lost them in law suite settlement to original creator and series director George Miller. Since then Millers relationship with the company has become amicable again, so that have fianced and distributed fury road and the upcoming furiosa but he still retains the rights and could work with a different company on future films. if a theme park attraction was to be licenced, it would be primarily an agreement between the park and miller, with, at best, warner being a minor third (kinda like they were with the deal between jk rowling and universal over harry potter). great video though.

    • @MaloneysCoasters
      @MaloneysCoasters  3 месяца назад

      I didn't know that, that explains a lot! Thanks for the info. Hopefully now that their relationship is more amicable we could see the rights still go to WB, because it would be a shame if there was no potential for a Mad Max attraction in Australia

    Fun fact: I was thinking an RMC single rail coaster would be a good fit for an Australian park. Got home, saw Coaster Studio’s video announcing Big Dipper. I think an RMC I-Box could do well for at Dreamworld (similar to ArieForce One) and a B&M wing coaster would work really well starting in the Wild West section and going over to the back lot. And also, I completely agree with another Alpine Coaster for Jamberoo.

    • @MaloneysCoasters
      @MaloneysCoasters  3 месяца назад

      My only worry with a B&M at Movie World would be that roar. They are quite close to residential areas, and as a former Luna Park Sydney employee I can tell you all about how difficult local residents like to make life for amusement parks. But if it happened, it would certainly be a great coaster.

    I had the same idea for gumbuya world with a family wood coaster. I feel like it would be great to have the better precut track to make maintenance a bit easier. If I was being a thrill seeker I would have said something like a vekoma super boomerangs because it has a launch and airtime with inversions. But I think the wood coaster is way better for the mostly family crowds.

    i feel like funfeilds deserves new gen vekoma, they would do great with a family boomerang, but i do think there is a lot coming up so funfeilds will just look like a copy cat. i feel like they could have a suspened thrill coaster like Hals-über-Kopf but on a smaller scale, they are removing the golf course and the go carts so that would give them heaps of room to have a good coaster.
    I also think a small gravity group would fit very well in the park, it would fit in and it would be fun for the whole family. it wouldn't have to be too high but it would be good if it gave good airtime.

    Wet and wild has no real theming it is extremely generic and needs to improve. Adventure world could do away with the wildlife area, but I would avoid the indigenous theming due to fallout from the failed voice referendum I can only see the park being dragged into a messy political debate. I personally would consider something more Asia related maybe dragon themed.

    • @MaloneysCoasters
      @MaloneysCoasters  3 месяца назад +3

      I think it's important to remember that the Voice referendum was a Yes/No to a very specific parliamentary body - not a Yes/No to whether Indigenous culture should exist or be important to Australia.
      Opposing a particular parliamentary body is a political opinion. Opposing the existence of cultural beliefs and being outraged by a theme park's decision to share them through a new medium of storytelling is not political, it's bigoted.
      If I were you, I would reflect on why you think it's not controversial to celebrate Asian culture in a roller coaster, but celebrating Aboriginal culture is...

      @@MaloneysCoastersas much as i love your idea, i think adventure world just needs to choose a theming and stick with it. i mean, abyss, goliath, inferno and the hawaiian & dragon themed areas are all so different and diverse, and imo it does not work well. so i think they need to stick with their dragon, fantasy theming and build a wing coaster similar to that of the jumanji ride at chessington. if not, then demolish the abandoned dragon’s castle area and add something there OR a skyrocket II at the old swinging ship site 🤷‍♂️
