So much work goes into this Home Theatre Hobby from wire management, to acoustic panels, its crazy but damn is it enjoyable. Thanks for another great video Chris, keep em comin...
didn't really explain much, what meyer sound models are there in this configuration? What subwoofer are there and go down in infrasonic frequencies? Did they use the galaxy processor or a Tinnov Altitude processor or something else?
Hey, two questions: 1-What are the dimensions of the theater itself? 2-He said that the theater was too small for a 10k lumen projector, do you have a video/guide on that, meaning how do you know how big a projector you need for a room/screen size. Thanks!
1. Let me see if I can get the theater dimensions for you. 2. Lumen requirements for a room are dependent on a few things. Obviously distance to the screen and size of the screen are the first things that are looked at in order to get a bright vivid image. However, ambient light in the room also plays a part. So if you have a room with some uncontrollable lighting from say a window in the room or if the projector is in an open area, you will require more lumens to make the image viewable. So often, you can get away with a lower lumen projector by making sure you spend the time and money setting up the room. I know multiple GTZ380 setups, where they end up turning the lumens down to 50%. However it is good to know that the projector isn't being overworked to get max light output, so just like speakers or amplifiers, buy something with some headroom, and the product will often last longer in your setup. If you have any questions on this, feel free to reach out, and I am always happy to help or get you introduced to someone knowledgeable on the subject. I work with Keith Yates of KYD who designed the room acoustics, and with Steve Elliston who owns the showroom. brett@mrktmkr.com
Lumens are like horsepower. You can’t have too much. I think in between the lines, he was saying they wanted the Sony in the room for the event… you can target 40fl in a projector throw distance calculator to see what’s right.
Keith Yates and Meyer Sound is a match made in audio heaven
That room sounded amazing even when nothing was playing. Best acoustic treatment I've ever.
Thanks. It really is amazing when you go form the other rooms into the theater, the noise level just drops and it feels very easy and relaxing.
Hold my beer.

Can you write out the brand of theater seats you mentioned in the video? I'm having a hard time finding them. Thank you for the insight!

Yes, very curious to know!
The most unique thing about this theater is it doesn't have valencia tuscany seats.
