This was the video that made me realize that JDF was still doing things involving the Power Rangers, made me follow him on social media and started to enjoy everything he did. I'm still in shock, feel so sad that I will never get a chance to meet him, but way more sad of the way he died. My prayers go to his soul and his family. You will be remembered and missed...

Jason David Frank...I still remember watching Power Rangers in my childhood and him debuting as Tommy. His initial arc as the Green Ranger and how he became my favourite character. Then he became the White Ranger and the rest was history. Years later, watching Jason reprise his role for these Super Power Beat Downs, he was just as awesome as ever. I'm still in shock and my heart goes out to his family and friends.

I say we take all of White Ranger's stats (extreme speed and strength, impressive martial art skills, a supercharged sword and teleportation) and put him in a Mortal Kombat game. Strip away all the bias from the tv show (which was less violent and cheesier because it was for kids), give the guy access to his actual skill and let him go. Come on. This guy vs Sonya Blade or Johnny Cage? He would wipe the floor with them.
I mean, look at him in this fight. He is far more skilled in martial arts than several of the MK characters. Add in the sword and put him up against even Liu Kang (who has the occasional Fire attack, but WR is fireproof). As muscular and talented as Kang is, White Ranger has all the benefits of a super suit, teleportation and cosmic energy. He's a contender. Only real problem is giving him Fatalities.
Hell, without his suit Tommy would STILL wipe the floor with most of the characters!
***** No offence but Tommy fighting his Ranger selves was a dream/vision he had while in a coma, not an actual physical fight. Plus he didn't actually defeat them, they just stopped fighting and left.

Scorpion could logically have fallen into this kind of defeat. He kept using his teleportation to move into Tommy's blindspot, and since the human body only has so many, all Tommy had to do was prepare to thrust backward outside the range of his peripheral vision to connect. It was still luck and chance, but it paid off once he adjusted to Scorpion's tactics.

I almost passed out when I saw Jason David Frank come on scene. One of the original six Power Rangers people, plus going on to become the Red and Black Rangers in future seasons.
He could make up his own team of rangers: The MMPR Green Ranger, the MMPR White Ranger, Zeo Red Ranger, Turbo Red Ranger, and Dino Thunder Black Ranger. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Mighty Morphing Tommy Olivers!

Growing up I just thought that the power rangers were the runt of the litter of superheroes, a second-hand superhero group that got the appraisal of only children as it didn't involve hardocre violence compared to the other franchises. I consider this and the Ryu fight to be canon. Tommy's just using his master morpher to rid the streets of superpowered thugs who happen to look like video game characters.
None of these are canon...and in an all out fight scorp would win hes already dead and been shown powerful enough to survive Raidens attacks and take on cosmic beings in his ending in mk 11. He'd kill Tommy if he really wanted he could also bring him to netherrealm which is another plane of existence.
Can we just take a minute to appreciate these costumes and choreography on a fraction of the budget that big Hollywood blockbusters have ☝️👏👏👏👏👏👏🥰🥰

I know, right? Main points:
1: The Power Rangers were created by a Cosmic Entity to fight other Cosmic Entities, ones probably more powerful than Scorpion.
B: Scorpion is totally Bad Ass in all kinds of cool and crazy ways, but he was given his power to get revenge on mostly regular humans.
4: The teleportation to Hell theory doesn't really hold against someone who can also teleport.
%: Yes, this is based on a popularity contest of votes, but really, nerds who voted for Scorpion, do you think the votes for WR were cast by pseudo nerds completely ignorant of the characters beyond a vague memory of the Green Ranger being Bad Ass and the first MK movie? Like me.
6, probably: This was who would defeat the other, they never deemed it a death match. Scorpion can be defeated, as all of us have done as a variety of character. The Mystic Sword through the head may not have killed him, but it ended the fight.
Actually 6: Takes more than ordinary lasers to disintegrate Scorpion (wtf?) someone said above, what about a Zord's lasers leads you to believe they are ordinary? And, you know, not capable of converting molecules to their component atoms? Would these atom be pull an Iron Giant and reform Scorpion, or would they wind up in a stream of urine after experiencing a few years as soil and asparagus? That's a really random example, but it's all Star Dust.
G: I mentioned that Scorpion can be defeated. He can have his body burnt to the bone and keep fighting, but those bones ain't Adamantium, and a giant mecha created by magic and weighing Zordon knows how many tons could definitely crush them to powder. That's just physics.
8 (and back on track): Scorpion would destroy the Zord with Hellfire? What is the range of his fire breath, or the area of effect for any of his Hellfire based attacks? Can he bring down a building with a fireball? Can he bring down an assault vehicle armored against powerful attacks. Tiger Zord would just stand there while Scorpion slowly melts him a few square feet at a time? By breathing fire in short bursts? Standing still while he does so? He's slowly giving the Colossus a hotfoot while standing in its shadow.
Something like Z or O or &: Scorpion isn't a Putty patroller, so it wouldn't be an easy fight, but the White Ranger always wins. Look at the track record and compare it to the number of defeats Scorpion has faced at the fists of every gamer every time they've passed on to the next fight. Pretty sure the statistics are going to be overwhelming there.

That was easily one of the best fight scenes I’ve seen on this channel! Seriously, that was better than most fight scenes in million dollar, major Hollywood movies!
I have two thing to say:
1. R.I.P to Jason David Frank he was the best ranger and seemed like an all around great guy. He inspired many and he will be forever missed.
2. This episode was my introduction to both of these characters since I saw this when I was pretty young when I first saw this. Thanks to this episode I became big fans of each character and their respective universes so thank you!
Absolutely devastated...he legit WAS the green ranger/white ranger...Most actors are just playing a part but he embodied the character in everything he did. He was as legit of a martial artist as one can be. Above all else, he was one of the few real ones...A shining light of constant positivity that people were blessed to have, but sadly many took him for granted..I know he had people fawning over him regularly, but i really hope the people closest to him realized who they had in their lives...Im so sorry your life was so painful you had to leave like this, Jason. You will always be my original hero. You inspired me to love and practice martial arts. You brought happiness and fun into my broken childhood. Youre the reason i could throw headkicks naturally and the reason my favorite color is green. I truly feel like i lost a family member..I legit shed tears multiple times throughout the entire sad day after his passing..JDF, Your legacy will finally get the respect it deserves. People will actually see you for exactly who you were and they will miss you dearly. If promoters did their job you wouldnt have had to promote yourself tirelessly which is the only reason some shallow people couldnt see you for you. REST IN POWER, RANGER! WE LOVE YOU! JDF FOREVER!

I even stood by you as Lord Drakkon. And in reality you were true to the man we all grew to love. You inspired so many of us to push past anything that stood in our way. To never let the obstacles keep us from our goals. To always be there for those we love and care for, and to have their backs through it all. I never got to see you at a con, so I don't have a great story involving that. But what I do have, is 30 years of knowing, thanks to you, that no matter what, I can be the man I know myself to be. Well, Scorpion losing to Johnny Cage is canon, so I don't see the problem here.

+4SidedStar Johnny Cage beat an immortal fallen elder god, then his child went on to do the same. The Cages are kinda a big deal in the MK universe.
+Soulcorruptr Remember how Cassie couldn't even beat sub zero with her entire team? or when Johnny Cage was useless the remainder of MK9? The MK story has no consistency whatsoever.
That's because neither of them had properly developed their powers. MK9 actually discloses how powerful Johnny Cage was (his power fully awakened and he had no control over it, even with the aid of Nightwolf and Raiden). "Johnny Cage would transform into a warrior powerful beyond mortal imagining."
Basically for this fight to even happen the ranger would have to go straight to a zord. Scorpion is not top tier in the MK universe but he's still in there fighting against demigods and sorcerors. This fight showed almost none of his abilities aside a few flame kicks teleports and one botched hook. The ending is also not possible as it's never shown teleporting MK characters as able to teleport into solid matter. If they could, they would simply telefrag their opponents. If Scorpion is losing this battle it's because he got smushed into bug butter by the robot, not because he got out h2h by a fighter that usually restrains extreme violence and is more a team player than a duelist.

White Ranger has multiple mixed martial arts under his belt, weapon training, teleportation, intense amounts of concentration, a cosmic force giving him his abilities and even a calm, almost stoic emotional state. All this combined makes the White Ranger a formidable foe and the awesome butt-whooping hero he is today and forever.

Yeah I know, I more of a MK fan than a MMPR fan. Scorpion(who is my favorite),Sub Zero and Liu Kang are also the only charaters I will ever use, but he still made a mistake when he said the Rangers never killed anyone. But they also made a mistake, by having Tommy teleport. The Rangers cant use that for kombat. it was only for long distances, as far as I know.

I know right, just because they don't do it as gruesomely as Scorpion does, doesn't mean the Rangers never kill. Yes, the animation of power rangers were never top notch, they didn't have the budget for it. But when comparing two characters, you should base on storylines not what looks better on the screen. By storyline, the white ranger is indeed powerful enough to go head to head with scorpion.
