I genuinely think this is the one of the best depictions of Spider-Man in regards to fighting. The constant quips to annoy the enemy, the sheer speed and lightning reflexes of Spider-Man…everything. Also enjoyed the fact that the action was shot practically rather than CGI (how it is in the newer films). Makes everything a lot more tangible imo.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I personally believe this is one of the worse depictions I’ve seen. This Spider-Man was annoying tf out of me and I’m a hardcore Spider-Man fan. Sure, he quips to annoy and distract his enemies, also to hide the fact he’s scared (thnx marvel zombies) but I never recalled Spider-Man quipping THIS much in the middle of combat. Im talking comics, games, movies and shows. Bat In The Sun legitimately overdid it with the quips. Especially when MJ was getting choked. It was very out of character. Glad you enjoyed this version though.

The actor who played Spider-man was Andrew's double in the video games and was officially Stan Lee's Spider-man for appearances :-)

I know this is an old video but of all the movies and tv shows this may be one of the most accurate live action depictions of Spiderman in terms of how he moves, his acrobatics, his agility and speed. Spidey is not a trained fighter(not until he studies under Shang Chi that is) but his superhuman speed, super athletic abilities and spider sense enable him to go toe-to-toe with anybody. The acting and humor is close too.
The most impressive part of the fight was how Spider-Man knew exactly where the call was coming from without ever being told

their depiction of Spider-Man is just flat out bad. and the visuals aren't great, but its passable seeing as its, like you said, a decade old RUclips video.

For those who are making comments about how Spider-Man is way too much like DeadpooI it's CLEARLY obvious that they are only used to what you have seen in the films and never picked up a comic book in your life because Deadpool has always been known to resemble Spider-Man especially the wise cracking aspect and not the other way around. Peter Parker has always been bullied in life and never gets the chance to lash out to protect his secret identity but when he puts on that mask his sole purpose is to take it out on criminals by driving them nuts with his sarcastic witty banters as a distraction which actually works. The films have clearly decided to lower that missing element that's key to it's character in the same way that Wolverine is missing his Iconic Mask and comic book accurate costume by Fox Studios and I am glad that Marvel Studio's embraces those aspects for the exception of Thor with his missing helmet because at least they look like the characters from the comics. Batinthesun clearly did their homework and gave true justice to the actual character of Spider-Man within a short segment compared to hours of film material that just couldn't get that iconic missing element from the original source material so thank you.

+batinthesun That was a good one, much appreciated, but to be honest, I don't think Spidey would actually have needed the Symbiote. Spidey's speed and agility are far beyond anything even someone like Darth Maul could handle, and his endurance would have allowed him to tahe more punishment than he received in the video. Let's not forget that Spidey has taken out people who could wipe the floor with a Jedi or a Sith in the past. It's not just his powers that are in play here, it's his experience coupled with his imagination and his intellect.
Spider-Man's classic comedy and a Stan Lee cameo? The only thing that could've made this better is if Deadpool was judging it

+Oris Cinn Spidey's talking is linked to his fear and strategy. A lot of times he cracks jokes because he's terrified. He also jokes so the villain will focus on him and react out of anger. Depending on what was going on in his head, he would indeed crack a joke with a loved one in danger. Asura is right, the movies have watered down Spidey's lines. In the comics, the only time he shuts up is when he's angry in which case he also stops holding back.

I get that Spidey is known to be humorous and all that, but Peter would never jeopardize anyone's safety for the sake of making jokes, especially MJ's. Seeing as she was being choked by the fucking Force, it seems really out of character that he would crack any smartass comment at all, because he's as selfless as one can get. People's safety, even a murderer or rapist's safety, ALWAYS comes first in his book. Don't get me wrong, this video is nothing short of amazing (yes, pun intended), but this aspect of Pete's personality really bugged me. And before anyone bitches about me not having read the comic books, I have read the entirety of Amazing Spiderman and Ultimate Spiderman.
I hope this comment is helpful in some way to the channel, I meant no disrespect to your work in any way.

Wow, I actually didn't remember that. Now that you mention, there is a specific scene in one of Peter's first fights where he mentions he jokes about situations he's afraid of. I still think that this was a very extreme situation where his worries would show, but I can't say that I'm right and you're wrong, It's all a matter of interpretation. +João Ghiraldini Yeah, it depends on which spiderman they are using. From what I remember, Spiderman would wise-crack from time to time, as said in some of the previous comments. There is a spiderman with natural webbing and a spiderman with the cartridges (not sure which is which but one comes from the amazing universe and there other a handful of others, I.E. Scarlet Spider and so on).
Spidey making small talk and joking while MJ is actually chocking mid air 🤣. This is that universe they didn't work out.

We can all agree that Spider-Man has the physical advantage. Way faster, way stronger. But I find it difficult to imagine Maul not winning when all he needs to do is exactly what he did in the video. Bust his web shooters and, instead of pushing him off a 10ft ledge, launch him as high into the air and the force would allow. Even Spidey can't survive a long fall to splatsville

Well to be honest you need focus to use the force, with spidey webbing his face there’s no way he’d let maul man handle him
TheWalkingRed Spider-Man in the comics has repeatedly made parachutes out of his webbing. He’s also survived falling off of multiple story buildings at terminal velocity. Once you hit terminal velocity an extra 1000 feet doesn’t matter, you go the same speed and hit with the same force. Gravity has limits. The only way I see Spider-Man losing is through force choke, but he’s beaten telepaths before.

I used to watch these videos so much when I was younger, I started watching them again, and I still love them.
Did you know that two people played Spider-man? Aaron Schoenke and Yoshi Sudarso, Aaron played the Joker in the previous Beat Down and Yoshi is current the Blue Power Ranger on the current Power Rangers show.

+batinthesun The eyepatch guy had it right. In a straight up toe to toe battle, Maul is clearly the victor. However, if the fight were on the streets of a major city where Spidey can use his tricks, he has a much bigger chance than he would in lets say an arena. While he does has his spidey-sense, Darth Maul has the force, which is basically the same thing except he has telekinesis with it. Which is kinda like webs I guess, but a force choke included. So I vote Darth Maul, despite him being my favorite Sith.

Alex M it kind of is a popularity contest. People probably just voted for Spidey because they are Marvel fans. Spider-Man is one of my favorite heroes and I'm not that into Star Wars and I voted for Darth Maul while the voting was still open. Anyone could see he would win without a doubt. Spider-sense is probably not a match for a mastery of the Dark Side of the Force, but Maul is too dependent and overconfident, I think his underestimation of Peter's adaptability would be his undoing, even without the power and aggression of the symbiote, but this result is JUST as badass.
