I am pondering on buying a pick-up later this year so secure and particularly weatherproof storage is an issue wherever we are in the world. Thanks for posting young man!
lots of good information Chris, there are so many styles of pickup boxes that its almost overwhelming. The one I have in my pickup is the full height but its the narrow one, I think its like 10-12" wide, I didn't want to loose the bed space, mainly bought it to put the compressor for my air bags in and out of the elements, but wouldn't you know its plum full of all kinds of stuff lol.
I'm trying to install a tool box on my 1st Gen. 2001 Toyota Tundra... I love the J Hooks 🪝 style so easy and yeah I'm with you on Unnecessary drill8ng unto the truck bed 👍🏽
I really appreciate the video. Lots of helpful info. I just bought a full size truck and want to get a box. I measured across from side rail to side rail using the outer edges. It only comes to like 69". All of the boxes I see are 72...so I guess there would be like 1.5" over on either side. I guess that's ok.
If you're looking for a full size cross box, keep in mind that all boxes may not be appropriate for your truck. I'm seeing boxes at 69" to 72" between different manufacturers. On my F-150, a 72" box would stick out over the sides of the bed and look terminally stupid, but the 69" just barely works. Triple-check the actual measurements if you're going to buy online..... and if you do buy online, be sure to be available when it's delivered. You'll want to do a quick inspection for dents, etc. before you let the driver leave. If it's damaged, refuse delivery and they'll have to return it. Otherwise, you'll be stuck dealing with arranging a return and the possible costs to ship it back, depending on the purchase contract.
Remember the sevens in lethal weapon2-4 with Leo gets (they F you at the drive thru and they F you with the cell phone) pretty soon they life will be sold separately lol
AWESOME

It can be overwhelming! Isn't it amazing how storage space gets stuffed full? Kinda of like a garage- you can always use a bigger one lol
Exactly Right.
Nice tool box. Thanks for sharing
