Gane and Neal are nowhere close imo. Gane isn't even a boxer, he is a great striker though. I would say the top 3 boxers in the UFC right now are Yan, Jack Della Maddalena, and Poirier, in that order. @@marchopas
outta all the names mentioned jdm is the only bloke I see throwing a lot of body shots, it might be an Aussie bias but yeah yan definitely a beast also
Yan’s attention to detail when switching defensive guard is so overlooked. Knowing the range of the opponents strikes and knowing when to brace for hard shots in a high guard and having that lead hand extended to block traffic in a long guard. Also having his hands open with the opposite hand to cover more surface area of his face with every strike. He’s also so damn efficient with his footwork. Breaking down his fight with Aldo he hardly gives up any unecessary space when defending like against shots and retains cage position. Also doesn’t over commit to head movement as a default defense so he doesn’t risk keeping his eyes off his target or giving up angles. His offense is good but it’s really his defense, reads, cage pressure, hand fighting, and efficiency that is so impressive to me
1. Lead hand and high guard 2. Lead hand for hand fighting and to look for opportunities to counter and clinch. 3. Counter with right hand to aggressive opponents from the high guard position and use of left hook to counter.
Me if i had a time machine: "Pjotr don't knee Aljo noooooo!!!"

@@silaswoodruff4499 Topuria, Yan, and Strickland, I think are the best
