do a blueprint on islam judo
best striker
Great job articulating canelo s style I rely on the high guard the long card and the dracula guard mainly when I spare mma
It's weird to know that I taught myself a watered-down version of this tactic for folkstyle wrestling. Very glad to see advanced versions of this to evolve my technique. Thanks, YT algorithm!
There's a great video from years ago where Marcelo Garcia teaches this sweep from butterfly guard. I enjoy how you use real fight footage to analyze not just the details of the sweep, but also the as important setups to get to the sweep position.
You should do one of canelo abusing the Philly shell… oh wait that’s right. It abused him
Why no highlights w Mayweather? Ok he was young , why no highlights against Bivol? He abused Canelo and his high guard from pillar to post
And then Bivol came along
holy smokes... Dividend Data??
Yan is so crisp and clean.
Do a blue print on Henry cejudo inside trip
Do a blue print on Mike musumeci guard
Yo do blue print to Alex pereira calf kick
What a good video let me check this channel further 👊
can you do a blueprint on fabricio andrey judo on bjj? i would love to see
good content trying to use this type of taticts with my judo game
What is your instagram
The only things Canelo absurd is taco meat with some Clen, judges against Golovkin and bought himself time to avoid Golovkin in his prime.
THE DUCKPRINT 🦆
Nice bait
😊
What I got from this video: GGG is so good.
Can you do a blueprint on Chris Curtis high guard! Very unique
Canelo reminds of Winky Wright alot.
“Abusing the high guard” shows half the clips against the Philly shell 🤷♂️
Whittacker is to the UFC MW division what 1990s Holyfield was to the HW division, THEE unsung hero. Both are the ones doing ALL the REAL champion level work.
I disagree on McGregor being the best boxer at LW, theres more to boxing than throwing punches. In terms of pure boxing & boxing fundamentals James Vick was better than McGregor, but when it comes to MMA punching McGregor was way ahead of him. Actually it wasnt until McG started trying to portray himself as being a boxer that he started to lose his fights horribly, in particular when Nurmagomedov walked right through his best shots like they were water droplets & very much in particular when he got absolutely KTFO by Poirier.
What you call his Stonewall Guard is a modification of the gross armed guard used by Archie Moore, Ken Norton & comeback George Foreman (who had Moore in his corner at one time). Poiriers boxing coach is the son of the Val Barker Trophy winner & one of the gold medallists from the 1976 USA Olympic boxing team, considered by many the best US boxing team of all time, so you can be pretty sure he has drawn from his fathers depth of knowledge when Poirier decided it was time to go back to the drawing board.
Im a big Poirier fan. He is MMA's Arturo Gatti.
Pretty good analysis. I say pretty good instead of excellent because although boxing is "The Sweet Science" it is not a precise science, therefore analysis has only so much value. Regardless of how accurate an analysis is, it doesn't address the "X-Factor" involved in boxing, because it can't. With that said, Canelo is an excellent boxer, an excellent practitioner of the sweet science. He is a very technical boxer who employs a decent variety of tactics which he can change up during a fight. He also has an excellent corner who he trusts. Is he an all time great? Hes definitely the best of his era & in that regard you can't ignore his claim. I personally think he is comparable to James Toney, his attack is more excellent than Toney's but his defence is less excellent, but neither fighter relied on "Athleticism", both are very methodical, however in application I think both are just outside The all time great bracket if that bracket is limited to Sugar Ray Leonard & Roy Jones since 1980. If we expand that bracket a little the waters become muddy with the inclusion of Tyson, Holyfield, Duran, Whittacker, Oscar, Hearns, Hagler & a few others, so I say it has to be kept to the elite of the elite, pretty skills alone doesn't cut it (Whittacker), dogged determination & finishing ability alone doesn't cut it (Oscar), the elite of the elite have to be the full package & I don't think Canelo fits that bill, but with that said I do think he is among the all time greats & could compete at the highest level in any era. In particular, his KO of Khan, how he set it up over 3-4 rds & then executed it was absolutely magnificent & that piece of skill, tactics & technique alone has never been bettered in a world championship ring. Theres two or 3 moments equal to it, but none better, in the entire history of boxing.
P.S The key to that set up was this, if he didn't get him with the overhand right it was gonna be the left hook upstairs. That is if the left hook down stairs didn't get to him first. He literally had Khan jumping at shadows & totally second guessing himself. It was a complete mental & physical dissection. It was sadism on the Roberto Duran level, pure cruelty. Absolutely magnificent boxing. In a word, it was stunning. What puts it at the very top of the all time heap is: 1: Khan. An Olympic medalist & a genuine world champ who had paid his dues but was by no means spent or punchy. His cornerman, Virgil Hunter, who brought Andre Ward all his success as an amateur & a pro, yet couldn't read what Canelo was up to, that speaks to Canelos ring craft. 2: The occasion. A world title fight at the very highest level of international exposure.
Bivol and Mayweather Jr. enters the chat.
Cringe
Canelo keeps his forearms BESIDE his head to allow enough vision to move forward while being defensive. The high guard shell is when you have your forearms in front of your face, blocking your own vision

Yan’s attention to detail when switching defensive guard is so overlooked. Knowing the range of the opponents strikes and knowing when to brace for hard shots in a high guard and having that lead hand extended to block traffic in a long guard. Also having his hands open with the opposite hand to cover more surface area of his face with every strike. He’s also so damn efficient with his footwork. Breaking down his fight with Aldo he hardly gives up any unecessary space when defending like against shots and retains cage position. Also doesn’t over commit to head movement as a default defense so he doesn’t risk keeping his eyes off his target or giving up angles. His offense is good but it’s really his defense, reads, cage pressure, hand fighting, and efficiency that is so impressive to me
Can you please make more of these videos from boxing and wrestling and jujutsu they're so helpful
The most robbed Guy ever
is the stone wall the same as the "hillbilly guard"? i remember someone calling it that might have been DP himself
I'm glad to see you're back!
Same
I really like the high crotch too, but when messed up it really takes it out of you.
Belal M. surprised me what a dog. DEF not natty but whatever
Leon Edwards by unanimous decision
Brother we need you to come back, 6 months with no vid 🥲
I’ve tried Gordon’s style and i really like it only thing is you can be easily double legged being that your standing straight up.
Floyd has the best high guard its a trap and he leans towards you when us using it ! Canelo has mastered it using it for offense , counters and combinations ! Even when he uses it defensively it's still offense!

Cheers. Thanks for posting
Petr yan got way to robbed on all fights from Sean to aljo and he was piecing up aljo that illegal shot was the thing that ended it
1. Due to his speed advantage, he uses the 1-2 to enter punching range. 2. As his opponent’s immediate instinct is to guard up after a 1-2 blitz, he’ll condition them in the early rounds by kicking to the body or the leg. 3. After they’ve been conditioned, since the opponent’s are backing away too, he’ll mix the 1-2 with the head kick.
