I have been inshore fishing for well over 40 years and many of those as a part time fishing guide. This is one of the best introductory and educational lessons I have seen. Well done Salt Strong.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video for those struggling to find them!
As a local, I just go to the edges of the dropoffs around the Ft Desoto grass flats at mid/high tide and have no problem catching one after another with curly tails, paddle tails or live shrimp, my PB was caught in June 2022 on a select size shrimp just North of east beach, a day where we caught more than we could count.
Good stuff!
@@Saltstrong really enjoy your content guys, cheers!
Best app I've ever used good job guys I had other apps and they got deleted as soon as I started using what yall have done 👍👍
Glad you've found it helpful!
Great video! I learn something new every time! What if I live in a area with little to no visible sea grass (ft. Pierce) what where I target for Trout?
Glad we could help! If there isn't much seagrass in your area, then look for ledges/bottom contours that provide trout with ambush locations to jump out and eat prey as it swims along. Look for moving water as well!
Headed to perdido key for vacay and wanna catch specks/reds/flounder with my 12yo. We are wade fishing, any tips?
Thanks. I had forgotten about "Community Spots", there I see Lukes video on Tamiami road and makes it simple to prepare for any given trip, just look at what others have done. Great e-tool.
Glad it was helpful!
Should I be seeing grass and oysters on the map in NC? I see them in FL but as I move the map up the coast, I don’t see any.
We are working on getting this information added. At this time, the data that is available is not in a format/file type we can use, so we are looking at other options or ways to get it added.
@@Saltstrong thanks for the reply. If you need someone with a little experience transforming data, let me know. 😎
What about people who don't wade or own boats? How would you fish for trout then. Ty
It's definitely harder not to wade or use a boat. Kind of limits you to either beaches or piers. I'm an insider member and I know that they have some pier fishing videos on the platform. In addition, I'm pretty sure they have a pier fishing training course out there as well.. Go check them out. Best money you'll spend on fishing all year.
@@OneJamesH Thank you, I appreciate your help. 😊
Thank you. I feel like we are left out on MANY of their tips
@@archer0770 Your'e most welcome, yes they are truly awesome guys snd company, even customer service!🙂and I've been a member for a year but most things don't apply at all to us non boaters or waders. But I take what I can from it. With the courses, and community, and shop and more, is def worth the price. Just wish they'd think about us more often!🥴
Check out www.saltstrong.com/fishing-tips/ and use the search to look for bridge, pier, or land based fishing. We do have some information out there. And as mentioned in one of the other comments, as an Insider, you would have access to the Insider Community and they could offer a lot of great information, as many of our members are also land based.
I love the fact I can tell exact where in the world that map is on in the first second.
👍
come and listen my friend👍
👍
PROBLEM;
I’m a shore fishermen. I don’t have a boat or kayak. Your info is fine for people that can access these spots but it does very little for me
Check out our website www.saltstrong.com/fishing-tips/ and use the search. We have a lot of info for surf/land fishing. And we wade fish a lot as well. This information can be used for fishing from a boat or land.
He mentioned wade fishing at the very end of the video....... but did you even watch the whole thing? Probably not because I am strictly wade fishing as well and I left this video satisfied.
Lol in Florida sure. Trout harder in VA 😢
You can try to employ some of the same tactics to see how it works!
@@Saltstrong I'm trying so hard! 😭 need more chesapeak bay coaching plzzzzzzzzzz
Screw power pole, Minn Kota Rapter
Thanks for the input!
So basically you need a boat or kayak
Not necessarily! There are plenty of trout to be caught from shore and by wade fishing.
