Courtney Hadwin is a 15-year-old from Hartlepool, Northern England who rose to fame after starring in the 13th season of America’s Got Talent on NBC. Courtney’s audition immediately went viral, receiving over 130 million views in just one week. Her audition performance was the most watched audition of the season and now has over 270 million views to date.
With a distinctive rock vocal that belies her age and an effervescent performance style, Courtney has been compared to a latter-day Janis Joplin. Behind the lights and cameras, Courtney taught herself to sing and dance, having spent countless hours watching performances online and falling in love with the music of legends such as Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Etta James and James Brown.
Now managed by Larry Rudolph and signed to Syco and Arista Records, Courtney is carving her own path working in the studio on her forthcoming album - unencumbered by decade or genre.

At 13 years old she surprised us all with her incredible AGT performance. She was beyond her years then, and with this "new" song (not a cover - Lil Nas X owns the title of cover now) she has a mature and powerful voice well beyond her years. 15 here, now 16. Her future I hope will be spectacular, and I truly hope she avoids the pitfall many great entertainers before her have. I love this song!!

When Courtney rocks, it does indeed seem like a revival of the 70's, but to try to box her into a single musical type is unfair to the immense talent and the versatile and beautiful voice Courtney has. If you listen to more of Courtney's other material, there are a large number of beautiful non rock ballads. Just check out her other recently released covers on her Vevo channel and you will find several songs that are of a completely different genre. I love when Courtney rocks, there is no one better, but I also love when Courtney does other types of performances because, again, there is no one better.

@@chad7129 I'm don't think I ever heard anyone get that heavy punchy rhythm sound out of an E335 quite like this guy. Gotta be helped by the Fender amp. Just great playing by him. I hope he gets invited to tour with Courtney when she finally does concerts. Studio guy I'm guessing may not want to. He really helps the sound.
It's good to see someone commenting on the musicians, Courtney is the superb cake, which is absolutely perfect, .....and the musicians add the cream. They would make the perfect team on tour - you can tell the musicians really enjoy working with her. We will see what transpires in the fullness of time. Any good luck to Courtney and know that we love you. Also I've a huge amount of respect for the very professional musicians. Has anyone found out who they are, yet?

I love this series of live covers. But this is by far my favorite. That is one talented guitarist. That talented musician, along with Courtney...and her mind blowing rock vocals, have found the perfect sound and style for ROCK STAR Hadwin. This is the sound that I would pay good money to hear a lot more of. I hope that guitarist is featured on her album. He sure knows how to play to Courtney's powerful voice. I rock this song all day long, and never tire of it. Courtney's vocals and performance gives me goose bumps every signal time I play it...This Old Town Road cover is my favorite to date. One day I hope, we find out who these 2 guys are. They have to be reading some of the compliments they've been getting all the time. (I was never impressed with the AGT/Las Vegas band) A drummer and bass player will be necessary when she moves out of this small area to a big stage. The intensity she shows when she sings is evidenced in her eyes. They are closed or half closed as she wraps herself into the music. It is the music which compels her. The song only has to appeal to her sense of being worthy of being sung. Then she sings it with an artists passion. Still fearless.

She's not taking any notice of what is trendy. She takes ANY song, however good or bad, and makes it sparkle. We all love it (and her) for that ability.
Courtney Hadwin does not sing a song. She takes it hostage and refuses to release it until every note reflects her musical interpretation. The result is a personal rendition which reflects her, and her alone. Who else used to do that? Ray Charles, for one. She is like that....her own distinctive sound and voice. When you hear it, you know who is singing. It is what she wants.

Also when I seen she was cover this song I listened to original 1st and was disappointed she was covering this song as her last cover then I listened to Courtney's and I will never question her decision on what song to sing I think she could make an song amazing!
